This video and song is my most favorite thing from yume nikki fanbase. Because it's style remind me original game atmosphere most. It's contents everything that makes Yume Nikki so unique and special. Those fancy and cheep on first glance visual effects, this strange "I'm exploring the depths of my mind" feel from music and instruments which were choosen -- they're perfect altogether. Everytime I hear this song I want to reply yume nikki once more. It's perfect. Sad, cryptic, strange and a little bit creepy.
Lovely mix you got here. Sad, mysterious, yet a little hopeful, just like how I've seen the most of the game...until the ending. While some people speculate about rape, I see the game being more about depression and isolation. I guess this is the kind of game that a player's life can really impact the meaning of what exactly's going on.

Not sure how to go about it, but I think it would work. Not a show based on Yume Nikki, but inspired by it.
@zevex747 BG is short for Background. BMS, is Be-Music Script (or something like that) and usually refers to a song, whice is playble in a Beatmania like program for computer. The gameplay of beamania-type games usually include keysound, that is, when the sound will only be played if the button is pressed, so if you push too early or too late, the sound will not play at the right time. That is also what makes those games fun too play.
@I0ttie Big budget doesn't always mean better. Big budget stuff made by fancy pantsy and artsy fartsy tend to do far worse. They will do stuff like cheesy CGI effects, ultra editted camera shot, and other crap like that. Seeing how it would be a film based on a game and 3D is the current trend, big budget will try to make this as Walle as possible. I say if a movie ever is made, low budget or high budget, it should be in the hands of someone who has a full sense of respect for both media.

Well, Yume Nikki's getting an /official/ Light Novel and Webcomic, so it'll be interesting to see how the artists interpret the story (in conjunction with Kikiyama, of course)
As much as I would enjoy seeing this game be made into a Movie or Television Series, the game is much too heavily based on Theories and Individualized Symbolism to be created to suit all the consumers which it wished to sell too. If it did ever make it into production, it would probably say the players of the game from their own thesis on what each thing means and would probably make people think there is an single meaning to each thing. That personally would just piss me off.
I really love this game, but I hate it too because most symbols make me think of rape, I really hate rape, and I find it sad because I can't find any other meaning of this game, I always wish it was just about Madotsuki taking a stroll around her dreams with her imaginary friends.
