This is the first part of a series of videos, so I will expand upon things relating to the Moon, the Goddesses, the Firmament as well as all the books I mention. There appears to be a bit of artefacting with my voice audio, this only occurred after being uploaded to youtube. I'm using new equipment so I'm still trying to work out the best way to master the audio, hopefully it wont be too noticeable/distracting for people. BGM list in in the description if anybody is curious.
@@ethan91372 problem is, the theory takes complete focus from the game itself. It can't be bs, because it's been explained by the books, characters and physical parts in the game
@@FacepalmeThe3rd alot of the conclusions you come to do partly fit, but you dont really consider the signs being signs of somthing else. Also, wouldn't that fact that mihoyo didn't care that the moon did have a cycle (which has a good chance of being true )destroy this theory? I like that you draw your conclusions to the game. But there are too many other conclusions there can be imo.
@@ethan91372 The false sky still exists, regardless of there being a lunar cycle. The lack of a lunar cycle is the spring board into the concept of the firmament and as mentioned in flavour text of the welkin moon, Teyvat hasn't seen a new moon, suggesting they did it on purpose, if they simply didn't bother and there is no reason behind it, it doesn't matter, as the false sky exists and they specifically reference the three moons, the Welkin Moon, Abyss Moon etc over and over. The lore is built on this idea of the Three Moon Sister, when you have 4+ books mentioning it and they all parrot similar talking points you really got to ask yourself if it has significance or not. I actually didn't cover every single reference that the books cover as it would just over bloat the video, but there is a lot of extra stuff to these stories that tie into the ancient civilizations and the Abyss itself which I'm saving for other videos. Also If you're talking about the more speculative stuff near the end with Celestia's goal and motivation and themes around the story, then it is speculative based on persistent themes throughout the lore. I choose my language specifically, when I say things like "I get the feeling that x" or "I can't help but think that x".. this is not me stating facts, this is me speculating. Edit: "alot of the conclusions you come to do partly fit, but you dont really consider the signs being signs of somthing else" It's why I ask for people to share their thoughts, because I know that other people will see things that I don't or have other ideas, I can't include all possible outcomes in a video as it needs to be concise.
@@lackofmotivation9810 not really what i meant is like abyss is where the real stars there, like even the description for the game said “a world upside down”
Yeah. You actually get to meet Mona, Fischl and Scaramouche. It's cool that Mihoyo added that if you played the event before Mona's quest, you guys meet already knowing each other. They are probably going to introduce Fischl and Scaramouche in another way.
Timmy: "Do you want to know how I got these Pigeons?... Sometimes it takes a bad day to make a God commit the questionable... Are you that God? Do you bleed?... Just like daddy." Pigeons: "Wheat is wheat..."
Yo this makes so much sense as to why Celestia destroyed Khaenri’ah, they were too “ambitious”. Think about it, Khaenri’ah was the pride and peak of humanity and the gods knew this would cause disorder in the authority of the Gods. Whether they handled the situation appropriately is subject to opinion. The Gods knew Khaenri’ah’s ambition was too big for its own good and threatened the gods. This could explain why our sibling despises the Seven, knowing the gods destroyed Khaenri’ah just to protect their authority.
Plus, with Khaenri'ah's technological advances, they may have even tried to go too far, and they may have even broken the false sky while trying to trespass it; and if the false sky was made to protect Teyvat, that would have been a problem.
Let's take that a step further and consider that what if "Ambition" and "Godly pride" were just the excuse for the gods destroying Khaenri'ah and not the truth. What if Khaenri'ah in their great achievements and advanced technology were close to or had just discovered the truth of the world. A truth that should humans come to learn could threaten the very existence of this little "Snow-globe" world we call Teyvat. So under the pretense of "Human Arrogation" the gods descended upon the only land that people either knew or were close to discovering the truth - Khaenri'ah. For me the idea of Teyvat being a sort of "Snow-Globe" world screams bubble universe. The idea that this snow globe seems to be set adrift in an endless abyss screams the Sea of Quanta to me. The Sea of Quanta is a place that connects multiple universes together. A Great Imaginary Tree resides within the Sea of Quanta always extending it's roots. It's roots could be connected to the many different tree's within domains in Genshin which all look like they are tied in some way to the Abyss. Would make sense then if the abyss was really the Sea of Quanta
Yup and his transformation abilities originate from his time in the Abyss from what I understand, the fact he fell down a hole to it suggests it's below the earth, how deep that hole is isn't clear, but iirc it states somewhere that the roots of the Irminsul trees go for miles and eventually into the abyss. I still think Dainsleif's "power from beyond" is tied to the Abyss because of this.
@@aperson6562 Yup it was his teacher that taught Childe his Foul Legacy form. But, his teacher is stated as “a solitary girl who dwelt in the darkest corners of the universe”, basically saying she’s from/lived in the abyss
the moon is def sus bc why would scaramouche mention that unless he was trying to provoke mona if we do happen to get a story quest about the moon and stuff I’m guessing mona might be related to it as well
Well... what about the other corpses? I would love to see more expansion onto the moon going forward, maybe when we finally meet Varka (Grand Master) and Alice (Mona's superior/Klee's mother).
@@FacepalmeThe3rd just fyi, Alice isn't Monas superior, she's Monas superiors friend. The story quest really didn't clarify it all that well, but Mona mentions Alice and her superior as seperate people a few times, and that the whole keeping the book in a box thing was more or less a deal between them as friends or something. It's frustrating how little this was clarified cause I've seen like 4 people make the same mistake :'( Anyways though, amazing video! Love your life content, extremely high quality!
@@FacepalmeThe3rd I am waiting for whatever the hell was so damn important a load of the Favonius Top Brass fucked off to go deal with it. Like yeah occasionally a dragon attacks but we gotta go deal with this other thing, good luck Jean!
@@Zinlain Me too. The only reason most people remember Grandmaster Varka and the knights expedition exists is because of that damn NPC Godwin wandering around Monstadt because he's too chicken to go back and tell Glory he accidently got left behind. It's the little things with genshin, lmao
Yeah I'd imagine most people didn't even think about it, most games don't bother anyways, so I guess people just accept it as is, but as I state, they talk about the moon so often that it's kind of sus.
yeah the moon in genshin doesn't have a moon phase like crescent to full moon, it always full moon. but i find that every 3 night cycle of full moon then on the fourth will be no moon.
I'm in an english major and I read some of them like the Moonlit Bamboo Forest and A Drunkard's Tale and wowwww was it so long and wordy to me. It's the only reason why I understood how there were actually three moons in Teyvat before two of them perished, but I couldn't relate it with anything else that matters cuz it seemed unimportant at all. Why would I care for the origin of a moon? Like i saw they're too lazy to make a crescent moon in-game and i'm like 'mkay'. I assumed the crescent/half phases died. I was more focused on Seelies, because those books mention how Seelies used to be a great race that even has palaces for them to reside in. And further lore says that now they just guide some adventurers to a little treasure-- while I was theorizing that the resting places of Seelies that we lead them to are places where they died. All this and I only read three books and barely remembered any of it but remembered some guy who got lucky and banged some forest spirit one moonlit night in one of those texts somewhere. LMAO
And someone whose alias is "The Jester" knew this information prior to sending Scaramouche to investigate. So this suggests there are still other, possibly non-archon related people who are either completely aware or at least vaguely aware that the world of Teyvat isn't what it's cracked up to be.
@@SeraphimDragon That's probably why The Tsaritsa is collecting the other Archon's Gnosis and going through a rebelion arc against Celestia or something. It would make sense that Jester knew it too, since he is the 1st Fatui Harbinger; it's pretty much a possibility that Tsaritsa is slowly revealing her plans to every Harbinger, that would explain why Signora said that "Her Majesty's plan is the most honorable of all" ( Whatever among those lines, I don't remember what she said lol ) which means Childe is going to be the last to know lmao.
@@Dog.This_Identifier_Is_Shit. signora said "The Tsaritsa's dream is the noblest and purest thing in all the world". The people who are harmed in the process are only " necessary sacrifices".
What I find most disturbing in the Moon is the fact that it appears to be CLOSER to us than some clouds and Celestia are. Which means it's not in outer space, but a much smaller floating orb inside the atmosphere.
Na sometimes bigger the object makes it seem closer to us . Like we find a full moon bigger and closer to us than an plane in the sky cause of size difference not how close they are.
I have a small theory that , the TSARITSA of Snezhnaya , the abyss order are someway working together to gather materials to overthrow celestia !?I mean look , the GNOSIS hunt , the stealing of Anemo archon statue of the seven , the release of dragon Che of yore by Gold over monstadt and bring the heart , flesh and spine to one spot ( dragon spine mountain ) .......things are getting spicy
Nice, someone did thorough research.👍 By the way, did you know the color, even the shape of the Genshin's Resin also came from FlyMe2theMoon? That's a fun fact of the day, I'll be leaving the rest of the clues for anyone reading this to find out.✅
is it just a coincidence that venti literally was the one who destroyed pilos peak, the place that has possible connections to the abyss, or is there more to it? maybe I'm just overthinking
@@thefoolsfavorite hmm, it could be like that. i actually thought as well that mondstadt is like khaenriah or more like, they have similarities. mond is a place of freedom and khaenriah is a place without an archon watching them hence they also feel free to do the art of khemia. there are nobles in mondstadt and in khaenriah, there are royal guards.
@@louviere8552 yes that's very much possible and I agree! they have some similarities. I heard that long ago people from mondstadt worshipped both the anemo and time god, altho for some reason they stopped worshipping the time one. could the time god be related to the abyss maybe, as time in the abyss is faster than the overworld and musk reef is fairly close to mond? perhaps they stopped worshipping because Celestia or someone "erased" the existence of the time god, just like how they "erased" other parts of history and made ppl forget them? or perhaps it was the abyss that caused people to forget the time god as they could be related?
@@thefoolsfavorite yes! ive always wondered if the time god is missing because of “fate” or “destiny” too. those are such strong words in teyvat for some reason. it’s mentioned by lumine and even zhongli. the funny thing is, destiny is also highly related to time. i also noticed that the platform in the nameless island (the time god’s place) is the same structure of the bosses such as the hypostasis. i dont think the eye of the storm is the boss enemy in that place and we might return there again someday facing an actual boss. i also read somewhere that “paimon” is a demon from the movie hereditary that grants wishes, knows all the secret of things, teach all arts and sciences and lastly, controls time.
@@FacepalmeThe3rd maybe your video will make them turn that laziness into content, lol On the side note, I notice that the moon is always full, but didnt pay much attention, until this video! Such quality content! Will make me pay more attention to the moon xD
Genshin Impact is going to get really get dark soon, trust me. But by the pace Mihoyo is going, it’ll take some time for it to get that point in the story
I am actually cautiously optimistic on this, because in the completed quests menu the new chapter which started with “we will be reunited” quest is called “Traveler”, as opposed to the first two chapters being “Mondstadt” and “Liyue”. It looks like we aren’t doing the geography tour anymore, but instead start to go deeper into the traveler and sibling’s story. Also the background image for this “Traveler” chapter is the white flowers from Travail trailer (very lore-related), while previous chapters just had images of Mond and Liyue scenery.
@@jeremiahsmith916 also did you notice that the further away you get from Mondstadt, the more Celestia tends to turn. I think this is symbolic as The Traveler continues on his/her journey, they start to see the true nature of the world, just as their sibling said.
@@iknowcharley5 oh, and I thought it was me imagining things D: So it does it really? Interesting. Well, Skyfrost Nail didn't fall down for no reason, I guess. Something is far from right up there, too
@@jeremiahsmith916 Remember, Vanessa is up there too, so who knows. I encourage you to read the Manga/Web Comic of Genshin. It gives you the backstory of everything.
@@iknowcharley5 I read it on the official site, it doesn't have the Venessa chapters and I'm kinda too lazy to search for the last 2 chapters on some obscure sites. 😅 My headcanon always was that Venessa just died or disappeared and the common folk just couldn't accept a mundane end of such a person so they came up with a romanticized version. Honestly, everyone in Mond is fangirling over Venessa so much, there just MUST be something wrong about this all. In-game, our narrators always were unreliable, so why can't Venessa's tale be a hoax or a heavily distorted truth too?
I think Paimon might be a moon sister, as unbelievable as it sounds, but hear me out~ - The blessing of the welkin moon card looks suspiciously a lot like Paimon, with the hair especially. - In Gnosticism there's a higher power above the 7 archons called the 4 lights. Now consider the fact that the moon goes through 4 major lunar phases. The moon sisters are only 3 in number, of course, but this could easily imply that there's a 4th moon sister, and that's where Paimon comes in. (I'll get to this later) - Assuming Celestia's motivation in sheltering the Earth is "because of a higher power", then wouldn't that be contradictory to the idea of Gnosticism? The Demiurge is supposed to be unaware of a higher power. Unless...? - There is 5* weapon called the Mirror Breaker with the following description (it isn't released yet but it has been leaked): "A weapon fragment from the epic battle waged by ancient extraterrestrial conquerors. It once had the power to extinguish moonlight." - Celestia may have fought toe-to-toe in a battle against "extraterrestrial conquerors", and they most likely won (also extinguishing moonlight in the process) since Teyvat is under the "false sky" state. What if the "victors write the history" trope applies here, and Paimon was erased from the history books? Food for thought.
Yup, I've had similar thoughts when it comes to Paimon, she also has a symbol that is present on a lot of UI elements on her clothing. I don't know what it means but it's like the triquetra, upside down and wider with a point in the middle of it. She also shares a lot of traits with Seelie who were tasked with guiding humanity, who once had a humanoid form before losing all their wisdom and knowledge. They also tie in heavily to the moon sisters and the catastrophe. I don't dare speculate on the leaked 5* weapon until it's in the game for sure too. As for Celestia being unaware of the higher power, could still be the case right?
It is because theory makers go in-depth with every possible hints. Meanwhile the original story is so subtle but they are actually aware of it. This is also why most of the time, LN>>>Anime adaptation.
@@FacepalmeThe3rd Yeah... I'll be super disappointed if so, ofc I'm not saying all the conspiracies have to be true, but if all these hints lead to nothing I'll be let down ngl.
So fun fact, thanks to a reddit post I discovered that Celestia is actually a 3D model, but when you get too close to it (with various camera glitches) it goes black and then it turn into a 2D model, and if you get too close to it again it just turn to a pitch black 2D model, so Celestia is so sus that Mihoyo even implemented a failsafe to not make you see it. With that out of the way here is what I think: boi we are missing a moon! Let me explain xD. In the video you read a book that says that the 3 moons had a disagreement, they turned against eachother and died leaving one pale corpse. But as you said previously the books may lie, or have incorrect informations. What I believe is that the moons did not acutally die, rather we have one in the sky, one in the abyss and we are missing one (in the domains the Triquetra has only one real broken end). My theory is that the last moon is outside the false sky illuminating the rest of the world. Remember Teyvat is a continent if I am not mistaken and The Seven and Celestia reing only over Teyvat, and somewhere is mentioned that beyond the see lies the unknown and, like a sort of Truman show, if you manage to get past all the perils created by celestia maybe you can eventually break free of the false sky and see the rest of the world. As to why everyone that ventures into the abyss in the end turn against Celestia... maybe at the end of the abyss lies some sort of truth left by the ancient civilization, or maybe since the moon is closer you can eventually breake free from the false sky and see what Celestia is hiding from everyone.
"we have one in the sky, one in the abyss and we are missing one (in the domains the Triquetra has only one real broken end)" Stop spoiling my next video... gee I hadn't even gotten to this yet XD. Yes there is the "Blessing of the Welkin Moon" which is the one sister who's corpse is in the Firmament, then the Blessing of the Abyssal moon, which is the Moon we see in the Abyss. As for the last Moon, I have an idea where it is, which is what part of the next video was going to be about. :) I don't think the books lie, I think they are fables though, so they are kind of romanticized versions of the truth, or misinterpretations of it. "As to why everyone that ventures into the abyss in the end turn against Celestia... maybe at the end of the abyss lies some sort of truth left by the ancient civilization, or maybe since the moon is closer you can eventually breake free from the false sky and see what Celestia is hiding from everyone." Yes, you see the narrative you hear from people such as Venti is that the abyss tricks people into believing they belong to the Abyss and then they side with it, there are two cases in the game where this happens and I wonder if this is just a narrative and not truth... the reality is people discover truth and gain knowledge and as a result their view of Teyvat suddenly flips and they see it for what it is.
@@FacepalmeThe3rd Ops I got way ahead of myself there ahah, well glad I'm on track with your theory then xD. Yeah it's definitely a narrative, I think what lies into the end of the abyss is the reason why the last sibling decided to become it's leader. I can't wait for the next archon quest, I demand answers (that I will probably not get but one can hope).
@@FacepalmeThe3rd The quest is called "we will be reunited" and trust me the maximum of lore we will get is something along the line of: MC: "why are you doing this" Sibling: "one day you will understand" MC: "don't go I miss you" Sibling "you have no idea" And puff they vanish xD. I really hope it's not like this but to be honest I'm keeping my expectations low
@@FacepalmeThe3rd idk if this theory is wrong or not but it just makes *sense* in a very twisted kind of way. I guess what created the 3 Moons and Celestia would be Yaldabaoth, the Demiurge of Gnosticism (unrelated, but yes, the guy that invented Sarkicism in the SCP lore knew what he was doing) and this Yaldabaoth planned on protecting humanity, but humanity will end up breaking free (following the theme you established in your video, of Protection > Tyranny > Rebellion). What would happen next? I don't know, it could be anything; but I believe if that happens it'll be in a sort of sequel to Genshin and not the game itself idk I think what I just said doesn't make much sense lmao
@@mrboatface4023 I know what you mean, at least, and I think it makes sense. I've not really delved in to Gnosticism and drawn all those connections because a lot of people have done that already in other videos and I wanted to really focus in on the deep lore while keeping the themes from that concept in mind, because I definitely think that could be what they're going with for sure, but how closely they'll stick to certain ideas is yet to be seen I guess.
@@FacepalmeThe3rd Yeah I had no clue about gnosticism at first, I thought it was like agnosticism or similar (even if the a- at the beginning implies otherwise but y'know, language is weird) but then, I think it was a video by another Genshin lore YTber that made me realize this is an actual religion of sorts, or at least its own mythology. From my understanding, this superior god or original god (Yaldabaoth) created reality as we know it and also made 7 subservient gods, named the Archons (which just means ruler in ancient greek. In fact, archaic has the same ethimological root as archon) to keep an eye on its creation while the original god went fuck knows where. It's sort of like scientology in terms of its mythology but much older, I think. How this relates to Genshin is up to more skilled people like you to decypher, and what I said about gnosticism might be entirely wrong lmao. ---- Unrelated, but I think you should do a collab of sorts with other YTbers like IslandXD. Not as in "get in the same video and voice some lines each other" kind of collab, but as in "try to unravel the lore together" kind of collab. I tried to do the same with a friend about the convoluted, almost non-existant lore of Azur Lane a few months ago and we managed to pull 50+ pages worth of lore together, and we're just 2 randos that pay minimal attention to the game. I can't imagine what various people that have an already established base on YT as lore analyzers and theorizers could do lol
@@mrboatface4023 I have spoken to IslandXD and have him on Discord, we've spoken about a few things but last time it was very tight lipped on his upcoming videos, probably didn't want me stealing his ideas ;) The Gnosticism stuff is referenced by a lot of people who theorize around the game, I've seen multiple videos talking about it and the game draws many parallels to it for sure, I saw IslandXD's video on it and he added some interesting points to it, but I've seen Teyvat Historia and DaikenXDan talk about it extensively too. That is the only reason I haven't really bothered and gone down my own rabbit hole. I don't really want to be parroting everybody else's talking points and the reason people don't seem to get together and come up with ideas together is they have their own selfish interests when it comes to their own youtube channel XD

after the latest story come out I think these theories are actually legit, holy shit I'm scared... AND MiHoYo actually has the habit of making these kind of twists in their previous game, honkai impact, thing started bright and shiny and turn dark slowly and even darker when you're reaching the later story.. no more beautiful scenery, no more cool looking area, the areas will only have 1 tone of colour, dark, gray, and grim.. This guy's theory sound like he's telling a dark souls story, not genshin.. that's scary
The scene in 4:14 with the cloud slowly disappearing to reveal Celestia just when he mentions a great catastrophe.... Bruh, the level of cinematography
from this video there are a couple of points i caught that could be true. 1. the theme with barbatos and the people of mondstadt's rebellion might be similar to why teyvat is a "sheltered eternity". 2. Celestia seems really sus right now but they're actually protecting the people of teyvat from the "drought brought upon by the gods", just like the tyrant from venti's past 3. Traveler's sister actually knew how celestia made teyvat a sheltered eternity. She witnessed the drought therefore she's on the abyss side because she doesn't want to see the world burn anymore 4. In the far future, the traveller will be the next nameless bard. He's going to "rebel" against the celestia (namely his sister) to break out of the sheltered eternity 5. After he broke out of the sheltered eternity, either there's gonna be the next barbatos to fertile the land, or everything just gonna go pure honkai's madness
2. I find it weird that Venti does not have a good relationship with Celestia, at least that is implied in the way he talks about it and some of his reactions in the Manga, because their means are counter to his own ideals, however Venti is also very closed lipped on Celestia as he either: a. Knows about why Celestia does what he does or b. He is powerless against them. 3. There are two examples of people travelling to the Abyss, realising how they've been wronged and then swearing allegiance to them, however there are two running narratives. a. Those who travel to the Abyss get tricked by it and believe they are where they belong/they rule over it. (Gnostic Chorus is example of this) b. The Abyss did not deserve what it received therefore turning to it and going against Celestia is just. (Bloodstained Knight and Lumine are examples of this) Q. Which narrative is reflective of reality? As for other points... I dunno maybe I can only guess on most these thing... I may be completely wrong in the video too, but there is much more to cover on this subject anyways so I'll be chasing this line of logic through the next few videos.
Maybe Celestia is just a prison where people who have visions go because they have been close to getting to Celestia because of the fact when we last saw Venessa in the manga she was in “Celestia” or as many people would call it, a prison. Maybe “Celestia” or the promise of godhood in “Celestia” is a hoax a trick to get people to not turn away from their visions of lies, (maybe this is what Scaramouche was talking about when he said that the sky was a lie) maybe visions are just a way for the gods to see what people with them are up to. It could be a prison and the real Celestia is outside the figurative snow globe just a bit out side of our sight. Venti even once said that he might now even be able to fly that high to it even though he is the anemo archon, “the water there tastes fowl” maybe he was in this fake Celestia which could be a prison and he just never knew about it being one. Maybe “they” made all the archons deascend to Teyvat so they could bring people who are getting too close to getting into “Celestia”. But the thing is.. Venessa never had a vision... so could Venti have been... watching her during her time on Teyvat?
You saw what happened to the kingdom in Dragonspine. They rebelled against Celestia. Why? maybe because they realized that their world is a protected isolated planet to preserve humanity? Maybe they wanted to be free? Barbatos was a wind spirit that became a god. Once he obtained godhood he knew the truth of the world. Probably knew he had no power to challenge the celestial gods and thus focused on helping his people of mondstat. Either way Celestia is pretty sus
@@ThespicyTurtle1 Yup I'm aware of it but I've not really dug too much into it, doesn't it have something to do with a traveller too? I guess I'll have to read into it because I completely forgot about it honestly :'D. Would of probably been a good point of reference for this video.
Yes but I may be wrong on how much Celestia was involved in the cataclysm, as Dain pretty much says it as if they descended upon them. What we're missing is why the Gods Descended though. Was Gold's Alchemy in retaliation, or was Gold's Alchemy the reason the gods Descended upon Khaenri'ah?
When we'll get Inazuma, thanks to the angle of celestia, we'll be able to : 1 : Calculate the curvature of the false sky 2 : triangulate (in a weird way) The coordinates of celestia
I don't know what's with Mihoyo and the Moon. Their first game was Fly Me 2 the Moon and the main character was Kiana which some sources said that "Kiana" means Queen, Moon Goddess, and Heavenly. Also in Honkai, her first S rank suit was Knight *Moon*beam.
Yup and there is a character in one of the books with white hair and blue eyes who rules over a kingdom under the moonlight, she travels out and gets... well I guess 'imprisoned' by the Nightmother? I'm not 100% sure if it's supposed to be a reference to Kiana or not but it seems sus right?
@@FacepalmeThe3rd it can be paralleled to Kiana in HI3 or even Honkai Gakuen she is her own person but Sirin suppresses her personality and takes over, that in its own way is imprisonment. I’m honestly very interested in seeing future interactions with the unknown goddess
Off-topic: I noticed now, in the Venti sidequest, Venti was just a wisp, possibly a anemo spirit. It was the companion of the Nameless Bard, and when it became the Anemo Archon Barbatos, it took the form of the Nameless Bard. So it got me thinking, Venti as the wisp kinda reminds of the pet the Traveler will get that is Endora. And Endora will be the Traveler's companion. Is it possible that Endora might become the next Hydro Archon and would take the Traveler's form?
While examining the moon I’ve noticed that the moon covers Celestia while passing by it, I was really surprised since I thought that Celestia would become a black silhouette against the moon
The fact that you're walking around as Rosaria during this is hilarious, it's like she is actually going around herself and finding and reading this and she's now forever suspicious of everybody.
Also worth noting is if you go to where the anemo cube boss is at night, you can get a pretty good view of Celestia and at around 3-4 ish in the morning the moon will actually cover Celestia as it passes by o.O
So what we learn from new quest is... EVERYONE BAD SUS VENTI EVIL ZHONGLI EVIL DAINSLEIF EVIL paimon do be emotional support tho KAEYA SUS AS ALWAYS LUMINE EVIL
What is up with MiYoHo and the moon? Just finished reading the Second Eruption manga for Honkai and this video gives me flashbacks. What if the moon in Teyvat hides some dark secrets as it does in Honkai? What if some greater power resides there? A power known only to the Gods of Celestia?
I'm not versed enough on Honkai lore to know the ins and outs of the Moon stuff there, but they definitely do seem to love their moon as well as biblical or historical reference.
I'm impressed, and mind blown, If this is all true then Mihoyo must of done this on purpose, and they must have thought of this, since the very beginning of the game, and for you to be able to figure this out, or even make a theory about all this, is mind blowing
Most people might already know this, but the Chinese/Japanese title 原神 (yuán shén/ genshin) is actually referenced by Venti at the end of his archon quest, translated in English as “allogene”
@@huhakdog8911 Yup, but Mondstadt actually sent troops to aid with Khaenri'ah during the cataclysm, there is a lot of deep lore around it hat all ties in to the next video's subject. So I just figured Kaeya was dropped off in Mondstadt due to this history in hope something would come of it for Khaenri'ah in the future. Kaeya has a lot of interesting things going on though, some that slipped out during the Windblume festival too, that I doubt many picked upon.
I think Kaeya being sent to Mondstadt is in order to assassinate Barbatos. My theory is Venti is very important chess piece since he had Queen Gnosis. If we take it from Chess perspective, he should be the most powerful piece. But when the Queen is killed, it easier to kill the King(Celestia god). I think Tsaritsa know this(the fact that Queen Gnosis is important to Celestia) too, that's why she had Venti gnosis stolen. But she maybe too soft hearted to actually kill Venti, cause Venti said they actually get along in the past. Either that or she doesn't want Celestia to notice or new archon being chosen. Well it just random theory since Kaeya mostly absent in story involving Venti despite always drinking together.
The main character of all Mihoyo previous game which include "Fly me to the moon", Zombiegal Kawaii ,GGZ (or Honkai gakuen 2) and now Honkai 3rd is name Kiana which mean 'Moonlight', her name was given by her aunt Theresa., Genshin player may know some one who look exactly like her called "The unknown goddess". yeah Mihoyo love their moon
Yup, there is a character in one of the stories with blue eyes and white hair who resides over a kingdom in the moonlight. (In Genshin that is) Sounds sus XD
Honestly my favorite part about genshin is that it seems like everything has been given a story the blessing of the moons, laylines hell even each dish you cook is full of story and world building it's quite amazing!
It really seems to be the case, I'll expand upon it in the next video though. I wanted to try shorter videos as working on a 20+ minute video can be a real grind and probably doesn't hold as much attention. I'd be very surprised if this isn't the case.
thank you for defending your case, with much consideration, we will award you your phd, it was an honor to hear such a lengthy but detailed dissertation
Yeah, idk what it actually means but kiana, the name, has something to do with the moon. And by seeing MiHoYo's other games we have other references to the moon, or direct events that took place there. Idk this fits together too well.
Yeah it's hard to know, one of the books I'll cover more next video, there is a character with white hair and blue eyes who gets turned to the darkness... sounds familiar no? Kiana came to mind but I don't really know if the description alone and the themes around it is enough to say "YUP THAT IS KIANA!".
@@eiarsan I think so, but I've not read that one yet, I think that one is stated as a fictional tale? I can't remember the name of it though. The one I'm talking about actually has a line that directly references the Cataclysm and a White knight at the end. Both of which existed in the lore 500 years prior to the game... the White knight becomes the Bloodstained knight, that the artifact set is based on.
@@FacepalmeThe3rd The book about the 14 valkyries is Vera's Melancholy. It has a few references here and there but overall doesn't seem to tie into any part of Genshin's lore, or at least not yet.

One of Childes stories talks about how he was running away from monsters when he was young and fell into the Abyss, so that validates the Deep Abyss is below Teyvat
Tiny Spoilers I believe that the "Pilos Peak" also originated from the Biblical story "The Tower of Babel." Babel was a tower in Iraq where people would try to reach the thrones of the Gods. The Gods felt threatened that humans will eventually overthrow them. In turn, the gods destroyed the tower and gave people different languages, Explaining the 7 nations of Teyvat. Also, I noticed that Pilos Peak was originally located at Musk Reef, where the abyss is right now, once again relating back to the similarities between Pilos and Babel. Musk reef probably was once a large man-made structure that is meant to reach the Gods, and got destroyed, explaining all of the Khaenri'ahns (A.K.A. the abyss).
fun fact: when your whole party dies of falling outside of the map (which occured to me when i tried to cross the border in stormterror’s lair), the text says ”fell into the abyss”.
After hearing about what happened in khaenri'ah in the new archon story quest, I'd have to say this video aged VERY well. You're on the money for a lot of things
After the last chapter, I think we are in Celestia right now. Because we can find the ruins of the old kingdom that was there where we are, including the ruin guards. And I remember when someone mentioned that the island where the spiral abyss is located now was actually the top of the wold. So we are in Celestia and the entire old world is below water.
11:01 the best part of this entire video, i think that this phrase was thought out by the people and is now known as one of the "holy phrases" of teyvat for every single letter is spoken with truth and sincerity and gives life to the world.
Im guessing we'll discover more about *Teyvat's world formation* when we reach Sumeru at least. It's the region of wisdom and knowledge (and Paimon mentions *Sumerians can read the stars* in the protag's voicelines).
I feel like Paimon is one of the moon sisters, after the one of them got killed by Unknown God, she was exiled to the earth and had her memories erased. As you see here in 5:17, the left knot is broken, that is the dead moon sister, but the link of the right knot is only disconnected to circle, the knot isn't broken, which means the other moon sister aka Paimon is stil alive. But there's one problem I just discovered yesterday is that there are some places has the symbol of four knots. Who is the other moon sister? It's obvious that she got wiped out completely since there's no record of her. Also, Paimon's cape and Dain's are pretty similar, so they might be from Celestia. I thought that he was originally from Khaenri'ah then he descended to Celestia, but I think that he IS the missing moon sibling. His memories weren't erased but his presence was. Because he was kicked out of Celestia, he helped Khaenri'ah rise against the Unknown God. Next, Lumine came to Teyvat and fought with them. But unfortunately, everything was destroyed and the people of Khaenri'ah are cursed. A long time later (some suggest that 500 years later), Aether arrived. About what Lumine said that Dain was a traitor, I think that he wants to restore his position on Celestia, so the Unknown God made him lead to Khaenri'ah's destruction. In trailer, Lumine was running toward to that hot lava surrounded by the Unknown God's power place. I'm pretty that is Khaenri'ah and ruins all over Teyvat were once Khaenri'ah itself. Another thing I found interesting is the battle between us and Dainsleif (in the very first trailer). He said something similar like this: fight him to prepare for the fight against the Unknown God. Does this mean when we defeat her, Dain will try to take over Teyvat? Ok. That's it for now. I need some brain juice for my homework lol. If you ever read the whole thing, thx for taking the time :3
Unknown God and paimon have very similar outfits and design Some say that paimon is unknown God but I agree with you more It makes more sense for them to be sisters

Inb4 next update Dainsleif says something in next patch that debunks all my ideas and I'm back at square one.. but nah I feel you, there is so much lore and backstory to everything.. but it really isn't getting brought into the plot in a big way yet...and I do wonder how much of it actually will.

Edit: "alot of the conclusions you come to do partly fit, but you dont really consider the signs being signs of somthing else"
It's why I ask for people to share their thoughts, because I know that other people will see things that I don't or have other ideas, I can't include all possible outcomes in a video as it needs to be concise.

@@eeveeofalltrades4780 The art of Khemia is capable of transmuting and manipulating life. That alone would piss off a creator God.
I think Paimon might be a moon sister, as unbelievable as it sounds, but hear me out~
- The blessing of the welkin moon card looks suspiciously a lot like Paimon, with the hair especially.
(I'll get to this later)
- Assuming Celestia's motivation in sheltering the Earth is "because of a higher power", then wouldn't that be contradictory to the idea of Gnosticism? The Demiurge is supposed to be unaware of a higher power. Unless...?
- There is 5* weapon called the Mirror Breaker with the following description (it isn't released yet but it has been leaked):
"A weapon fragment from the epic battle waged by ancient extraterrestrial conquerors. It once had the power to extinguish moonlight."
- Celestia may have fought toe-to-toe in a battle against "extraterrestrial conquerors", and they most likely won (also extinguishing moonlight in the process) since Teyvat is under the "false sky" state. What if the "victors write the history" trope applies here, and Paimon was erased from the history books?
Food for thought.
Bump

@@FacepalmeThe3rd Yeah... I'll be super disappointed if so, ofc I'm not saying all the conspiracies have to be true, but if all these hints lead to nothing I'll be let down ngl.
i think it's too early to judge. lets wait.
"we have one in the sky, one in the abyss and we are missing one (in the domains the Triquetra has only one real broken end)"
Stop spoiling my next video... gee I hadn't even gotten to this yet XD. :)
I don't think the books lie, I think they are fables though, so they are kind of romanticized versions of the truth, or misinterpretations of it.
"As to why everyone that ventures into the abyss in the end turn against Celestia... maybe at the end of the abyss lies some sort of truth left by the ancient civilization, or maybe since the moon is closer you can eventually breake free from the false sky and see what Celestia is hiding from everyone."
Yes, you see the narrative you hear from people such as Venti is that the abyss tricks people into believing they belong to the Abyss and then they side with it, there are two cases in the game where this happens and I wonder if this is just a narrative and not truth... the reality is people discover truth and gain knowledge and as a result their view of Teyvat suddenly flips and they see it for what it is.
@@tigerthebest96 Yup I just hope it doesn't completely destroy my plans for the next few videos XD
@@FacepalmeThe3rd The quest is called "we will be reunited" and trust me the maximum of lore we will get is something along the line of:

Yup it seems that way... Inb4 I am completely wrong though.
I don't know, it could be anything; but I believe if that happens it'll be in a sort of sequel to Genshin and not the game itself
idk I think what I just said doesn't make much sense lmao
----
Unrelated, but I think you should do a collab of sorts with other YTbers like IslandXD.
@@mrboatface4023 I have spoken to IslandXD and have him on Discord, we've spoken about a few things but last time it was very tight lipped on his upcoming videos, probably didn't want me stealing his ideas ;)
The Gnosticism stuff is referenced by a lot of people who theorize around the game, I've seen multiple videos talking about it and the game draws many parallels to it for sure, I saw IslandXD's video on it and he added some interesting points to it, but I've seen Teyvat Historia and DaikenXDan talk about it extensively too. That is the only reason I haven't really bothered and gone down my own rabbit hole. I don't really want to be parroting everybody else's talking points and the reason people don't seem to get together and come up with ideas together is they have their own selfish interests when it comes to their own youtube channel XD

I’m sorry that I wheezed when you said “the flat earth theory” the jokes of Scaramouche being a flat earthen still get me.
from this video there are a couple of points i caught that could be true.
1. the theme with barbatos and the people of mondstadt's rebellion might be similar to why teyvat is a "sheltered eternity".
2. Celestia seems really sus right now but they're actually protecting the people of teyvat from the "drought brought upon by the gods", just like the tyrant from venti's past
3. Traveler's sister actually knew how celestia made teyvat a sheltered eternity. She witnessed the drought therefore she's on the abyss side because she doesn't want to see the world burn anymore
4. In the far future, the traveller will be the next nameless bard. He's going to "rebel" against the celestia (namely his sister) to break out of the sheltered eternity
5. After he broke out of the sheltered eternity, either there's gonna be the next barbatos to fertile the land, or everything just gonna go pure honkai's madness
2. I find it weird that Venti does not have a good relationship with Celestia, at least that is implied in the way he talks about it and some of his reactions in the Manga, because their means are counter to his own ideals, however Venti is also very closed lipped on Celestia as he either:
a. Knows about why Celestia does what he does or
b. He is powerless against them.
3. There are two examples of people travelling to the Abyss, realising how they've been wronged and then swearing allegiance to them, however there are two running narratives.
a. Those who travel to the Abyss get tricked by it and believe they are where they belong/they rule over it. (Gnostic Chorus is example of this)
b. The Abyss did not deserve what it received therefore turning to it and going against Celestia is just. (Bloodstained Knight and Lumine are examples of this)
If teyvat is allowed to develop on its own, therefore, unsheltered, it will become technologically advanced. The honkai will have to intervene.

@@FacepalmeThe3rd Yeah, I agree. That’s why I’m still not sure whether Khaenri'ah is blameless in the Cataclysm...
"Wherever you go, whatever life throws at you... In Teyvat, the stars in the sky will always have a place for you."
When we'll get Inazuma, thanks to the angle of celestia, we'll be able to :

2 : triangulate (in a weird way) The coordinates of celestia

My theory is Venti is very important chess piece since he had Queen Gnosis. If we take it from Chess perspective, he should be the most powerful piece. But when the Queen is killed, it easier to kill the King(Celestia god).
I think Tsaritsa know this(the fact that Queen Gnosis is important to Celestia) too, that's why she had Venti gnosis stolen. Also, I noticed that Pilos Peak was originally located at Musk Reef, where the abyss is right now, once again relating back to the similarities between Pilos and Babel. Musk reef probably was once a large man-made structure that is meant to reach the Gods, and got destroyed, explaining all of the Khaenri'ahns (A.K.A. the abyss).
Interesting stuff, will keep this in mind!
fun fact: when your whole party dies of falling outside of the map (which occured to me when i tried to cross the border in stormterror’s lair), the text says ”fell into the abyss”.
Why did I get a bit goosebumps of this :>
After hearing about what happened in khaenri'ah in the new archon story quest, I'd have to say this video aged VERY well.
Your channel deserves waayyyyy more recognition. Keep up the good job
Thanks, appreciate the kind words :)
11:01 the best part of this entire video, i think that this phrase was thought out by the people and is now known as one of the "holy phrases" of teyvat for every single letter is spoken with truth and sincerity and gives life to the world.
A fellow final fantasy fans i see, those bgm sure brings alot of nostalgia lol
the amount of knowledge put into this really blows my mind
This is so fascinating!! And you laid out your evidence really well. Gonna go through all your theory/analysis videos now
Bruh I've gotta subscribe, this is one of the most professional sounding video I've heard in a while.
If you ever read the whole thing, thx for taking the time :3
Unknown God and paimon have very similar outfits and design
Some say that paimon is unknown God but I agree with you more
It makes more sense for them to be sisters
the 'unknown god' in the beginning is a Honkai.
@@chrisliu805 as someone who plays honkai that's obvious if you look at her
But it raises several questions
@@user-xr4jy5vv4f I never know honkai, but I think the main protagonist in the Gehsin impact are the fire moth genetic people, they were carrying the "Ark" project to a save place (seas of quanta?), and was about to leave, but then a Honaki following them here and they get attacked.
Clicking on this video i was all like: ‘mihoyo better not pull a neo world project on us’
Don't worry its all a lie! Would be interesting if all of this is some kind of 'Matrix' of sorts :3
@@jimmybon9314 I'd hate that. It's overused
@@eeveeofalltrades4780 Indeed it is, or else it seems to me that this is quite similar to.. Xenoblade Chronicles,in some way that is.
Imagine if lumine just pulls an junko enoshima on us, lol
Why is this so Interesting, you're talking about a moon in a game but i still can't stop watching
I love when games imply such depth of lore and history, but at the same time I hate it when it stays on the background and isn't fully developed or becomes irrelevant to the main characters plot... What I mean is... Mihoyo is giving me great expectations and I'm not strong enough to keep them in check to avoid frustration when things come to an end XD I also loved the music you used for the video, great mood! And I have to admit I never even noticed the abscence of a lunar cycle... Dang, now I'm hyped for some new story developments, this game has so much potential!
Inb4 next update Dainsleif says something in next patch that debunks all my ideas and I'm back at square one..
but nah I feel you, there is so much lore and backstory to everything.. but it really isn't getting brought into the plot in a big way yet...and I do wonder how much of it actually will.
* when you figure out how to glitch yourself underwater *
“THE WATER DARKNESS CAN’T STOP ME NOW”
Me in science class learning astronomy: -_-
Me learning about astronomy from a pipsqueak with a big hat in a game: 0o0
This is probably one of the most interesting theories I have ever heard.
Good job!
Ayeeeee! A new theory vid!!! Keep up the good work my man!
Thanks, appreciate it :D
More in the coming weeks probably, depends how much the archon quest throws a spanner in the works.
Excellent theory, and wonderful presentation! Really makes you want to dig into the lore yourself.
If it's all wrong, it's all good... at least it can entertain a few people in the content void we're in right now XD
@@FacepalmeThe3rd Thank you for your hard work, man. Hopefully 1.5 will give us something to do.
