Great bio of James "Kamala" Harris. Didn't know Ultimate Warrior looked out for him like that. I feel the promoters took advantage of him for knowing that he wasn't well-educated. True story I had to be around 6 or 7 years old my dad took me and my grandma to watch wrestling when they came to the coliseum in Alexandria Louisiana. My granny loved wrestling you couldn't tell her it was predetermined. Kamala came out and she threw the chewing tobacco she was chewing at him. I had never been so scared for me and my grandma lives. I thought Kamala was about to do something terrible to my grandma but he didn't. I'm 44 year's old now and it left an impression on me that I'll never forget!! RIP Kamala & Grandma..

Kamala was a monster heel from some strange place in Africa and was doing horrible things in the ring as well as killing chickens by biting them on the head and squashing them with bare hands. Heels used to have to get spit on nightly and burned with cigarettes or stuck with sewing needless on way to ring because they were evil viscious bastards ( you were led to believe)

My dad(also named James) met Kamala back in the day when he wrestled in the UK. My dad was working as security for the event he said Kamala was a friendly man he complimented & thanked my dad for doing a good job. He offered to buy my dad a drink & they talked about Anguilla(an island in the Caribbean) where my dad is from, he recommended if Kamala had a chance to go on a vacation he suggested to Kamala to go Anguilla & neighbouring islands of St Maarten/Martin(another place my dad grew up in the Caribbean). Like Kamala my dad caught Covid January 2021 whilst getting dialysis treatment too luckily my dad had the jab late last year & is ok now but gets shot of breath occasionally. I had called my dad the day I found out Kamala passed which was the day after my dad's 81st birthday, he was upset & that's when he told me he met Kamala. Unfortunately he doesn't have the programme of the event & a picture he took with Kamala as it's been lost over the years but he had a nice thing to say about Kamala. R.I.P Kamala.🇺🇬🔪✝️🖤

As successful as his career was, it was equally sad, painful, and unjust.
Not long ago, I listened to a Steve Austin classic interview with Kamala. The man was incredibly humble and sincere. Kudos to Austin and his professional demeanor.
Yes, the Undertaker’s the Undertaker. However, I’ll never understand why The Undertaker receives $500000 and Kamala $13000 for their match. In my opinion, incredibly unjust.

I've seen numerous interviews with him and he seemed very bitter towards the wrestling industry and rightfully so. Those promoters screwed him over big time. And how would Dave Meltzer know how much he made or didn't make to comment on it? Anyway, R.I.P to him. He seemed like a guy who turned his life around to be a good guy but naive to the business world and very naive to the slimy wrestling industry. Sad how most of the promotions he worked for just used him and CHEATED him out of the money he DESERVED as one of the BIGGEST draws and heels..especially Vince in WWF...and Mr. Harris took that resentment to his grave..sad that happened to him..I love his song.."if I had a dollar" rest on my man..🙏👏👏👏✌

I just watched a match between those two & I think the biggest move was a body slam. Yet it was way more entertaining than most matches of today where they're doing all their crazy shit. They were characters & used those characters to tell a story. I don't understand how they've lost that. We know it isn't real- it's the characters people enjoy! Wrestling was more theatre back then & so much better. We used to get to watch crazy live plays, now we watch gymnastic routines & choreographed dances. Which have their place, sure- (sigh)It just isn't the same. Why, back in MY day...😆

Saw him at the Lynchburg City Armory in Lynchburg Virginia, he wrestled Magnum TA in a cage match.
