Hey Steven, great effort on the Ike job, but fish brains are a bit different than ours. If you want to get a good, clean, quick kill, I recommend running the spike from the anterior end of the fish’s face into its spinal column.

I recommend using stainless steel shears for bleeding fish out to avoid getting cut or stabbed by a knife while the fish is flopping around.

DOA 3" shad tail or a 4" jerkshad. pair it up with the respectable sized jighead. Fish the rivers and creeks , deep holes this time of year
