Very cool, glad to see ke managing to broaden their capability and for inrange and ke to be able to potentially get some more of the income despite being a peculiar time for a product release (it really suprized me that the kp15 was actually released as soon as it was that was a difficult promise to manage to keep).
Not cutting those 12 o'clock MLok slots closest to the upper receiver also mitigates some of the heat mirage y'all have observed in the past during rapid fire tests. Beneficial for the stages where the match director makes you blaze away at 20 paper targets inside of 25 yards and then immediately presents you with 300+ yard steel. When y'all have fulfilled the waitlist, I'll have to snag one of these on individual sale to replace the Coda handguard I've currently got on my self-sourced WWSD2020. IMO Coda just isn't up to snuff on the production quality.
Awesomesauce, glad to hear y'all have found a way to push through the supply chain disruption. I for one would love to see WWSD complete uppers, since I already bought a KP15 lower to try and cobble together my own.
The mlok slots at the top allowing fingers to be burned by the gas tube is exactly why i sold my Faxon Carbon Fiber tube.... Been using the Coda Evolution tube ever since. I'll definitely be checking this one out if they sell it as an individual component.
I pre-ordered day one when the rifle was originally announced but due to the pandemic and other financial concerns I had to cancel weeks before the first rifles shipped out. I got back on my footing at some point and have recently started a better job and moving up in my career again but I was heartbroken when I saw the Wwsd2020 rifles could no longer be ordered when I had last checked. To say that this news has been what I have been waiting for would be an understatement. Thank you so much Karl, Russell, and everyone at KE Arms, put myself back on the waiting list and cannot wait to have the rifle when it is ready.

I’ve been keeping an eye on Faxon for over a year now. Still no available barrels or hand guards. I don’t know what they are making…but it ain’t barrels or hand guards. Glad to see KE Arms bring this to market.
I built a WWSD 2021 on one of your lowers and AERO Products upper & BCG. It was to be as light as possible for my wife to use. I used an AERO carbon fiber fore end for additional lightness but that was a mistake. They use a huge steel barrel nut for the mount. The barrel nut alone must weigh 1.5 lbs at least. Negates any advantage to the carbon fore end. I will be extremely interested in acquiring one of your carbon fore end kits when they are available.

Is there any concern with the increased thermal conduction of the aluminum barrel nut possibly overheating the carbon fiber handguard locally where it connects to the upper? Or is the thermoset you're using sufficiently heat tolerant? One of the reasons I like aluminum free float handguards is that they are basically heat sinks mounted to the barrel nut. Yes aluminum is heavier, but I feel that it is weight that also does something. Update: But I want to make it clear that I am in no way saying that the carbon fiber is bad. Stoner didn't design "the lightest rifle possible" he designed the lightest rifle that could *feasibly, routinely, and reliably, perform the mission requirements* . And since I've seen RDS (like every other conceivable aiming mechanism) fail - even quality ones (albeit rarely) - having a simple set of BUIS mounted is an inconsequential inconvenience to mitigate a potentially catastrophic mission failure that *documentably still occurs* and for which there is *no* other feasible mitigation (unlike, say, the dripping of the forward assist, as the function of the FA can be easily met in those rare occasions where you might need it, by using your thumb on the cutout on the bolt.)

There is no FDE WWSD
I pick up my Faxon tube at the post office tomorrow, so I might answer my own question then, but why a 2" hexagon? Aluminium tube aren't 2" hexagons. Is it a manufacturing thing?
So a 2" octagon fits my hand just fine.
Best of luck! Product looks awesome. Hope to own one someday! Keep up the great content!
I would say keep the name as WWSD2020, it marks a moment in time.
If a BUIS is mounted out at the end, how bad is the sight going to be clocked?
Buis?
Back Up Iron Sight
You sure Stoner would not be developing laser rifles and handguns in 2021?
Please make a tuckable (for 9mm suppressors) SBR sizes!
My 9mm AR needs a diet
Freaking outstanding!
I just wish the handguard was a smidge shorter. Like, one MLOK slot shorter would be perfect
A point 0.1 ounce difference? Literally unshootable.
Mine came in last week
One thing, aluminum and carbon fiber can lead to galvanic corrosion. I hope those barrel nuts are anodized.
I don't remember the last time I saw a raw aluminum part on anything gun related besides 80% lowers.
Yes they are anodized.
Love this
very exciting
Nice
Oi! If you wanna do something right, I guess. Here’s a little algorithmic support.
My problem with the hand guard is wtf barrel nut do I need, what fits what, etc...not to mention that many are half the price of just buying a PSA lower
I don't know if you watched the video, but it comes with it's own barrel nut. Also, if your complaining about price vs a PSA lower, maybe a 35 dollar chinesium gunshow handguard might be more your speed but keep in mind most of those don't come with barrel nuts.
Now could you please do the WWSD DMR?
Nope .
neat!
