    Saving this to my "Aquarium College" playlist. Been keeping a planted tank for over 15 years and I'm still learning so much. You're like the Bob Ross of Aquascaping.

    Perfectly balanced video length for me, 20 minutes is enough time for me to complete a water change. Your editing was also on point. Out of curiosity what is your favorite crypt?

    HC Cuba also isn't recommended for new tanks since they can melt from ammonia spikes which is expected from fresh aquasoil

    • @sot8343
      @sot8343 10 місяців тому +1

      I wouldn't plant anything in a newly cycling aquarium.
      During my most recent dark start, I was propagating tissue culture HC on the side in a bin. That allowed the HC to grow strong roots. The roots from the tissue culture rotted away and I was able to remove that from the plant as new roots grew in.
      I found HC did better in the dry start than MC.

      Dark start and dry start can help with this

    Wow! I'm so happy with my first carpet (Eleocharis) that I'm terrified to trim it! It had a minth of dry start and then 2 months in the tank and is nice and long, but you've inspired me to give it a trim later! That will mean removing a tonne of duckweed first though...
    My favourite carpeting plant is a Glosso but I don't think I have any. I'm going to try that next.

    With proper technique, three cups of Glossostigma elatinoides are sufficient for a 60cm tank. Planting in small clusters may cause vertical growth instead of horizontal spread via runners, leading to less compact coverage and an increased risk of melting. As a result, the lower layers of the carpet near the substrate become hollow, while the upper layers grow more densely compacted.

    Just a little thank you Logan for a similar feeling that I definitely had , and 4 years ago when I had my 1st few attempts failing I was thinking about what I wanted to do with my funds going forward. Since the decision was going with the plants that had been enjoying the parameters of the Mississippi River and RO water was just going to be a future investment which has been ordered as of Saturday following Juris video. I'm not going to say anything that you already know .... but I have never seen anyone that always has all the boxes checked with whatever it is . I'm positive that of all the creators you couldn't have worked for & with anyone better . A safe bet that you showed him a thing or two as well. Kinda like foreign exchange for grown-ups lol .
    So that was just a lot of my reminiscing but I think it's time to A ) watch the video that I have paused and then get everything ready before lights, carpet and MAINTENANCE,..... 🪣📐✂️🔍☯️ P. S. Fun fact ~ spring scissors were invented for the cosmetics industry 🎾

    Can't get my Monte Carlo growing, its been nearly 4 months and it doesnt grow. I have had monte carlo as well for like 6 months and it didnt grow so i tried again with ada amazonia ver2 aquasoil and tropica substrate. I have co2 (1.5bps) and my light is a twinstar 45c iii.

    • @LoganRandoAquascaping
      @LoganRandoAquascaping  10 місяців тому

      Are you using a drop checker to make sure CO2 levels are prime by the time lights are on? Additionally examine your water conditions. What's GH & KH. How about ferts?

  • @lexluthor573
    @lexluthor573 7 днів тому

    Monte carlo is hard without co2 n growth is very slow w/o it. For all those who want a carpet without co2 n fast growing easy cheap set up try Pearl weed. Very easy to grow n grows fast. Just so u know it grows really fast so alot of trimming
