@QuiltedDelights It was a 60s style smock, lavender flower stripes with lighter softer stripe ruffled sleeves and coordinating pockets on the front. It was very sweet. It was made an old Singer Featherweight machine.
I would use the large floral stripes as a border, maybe a kaleidoscope block (above my skill level though), or cut them down so there’s no longer a stripe. I’d be grateful for a chance to win the science/math themed fabric. Thanks for sharing your haul. I’ll be looking into one of those for myself now. Merry Christmas!
Hi, new subscriber! I like all the ones you didn't...😊 I use stripes for pillowcases, bag linings, and they are great for tote bags, especially when paired with a solid at the bottom!
I enjoyed the unboxing. I wondered what you get in these types of offerings. I liked them all, even your not so favorites. They absolutely will be useful in some project!
Your box was awesome! 👍 You should have lots of fun with the fabrics. I’ve purchased their end of bolt boxes two times and received lot of solids and a lot smaller pieces! As a result, I stopped buying them. The four pieces you dislike aren’t that bad. I love the yellow one the best. 😊 The stripe is iffy 🤔 … but I would just cut it up and put the pieces in my string quilt section. 🤩
Thank you for sharing with us Lea. We have similar sales in the UK, but with smaller off-cuts. All of your fabrics are pretty colourful with lots of variety to make a log cabin, Irish chain or other scrap quilt, but I'd make cute half aprons with the striped fabrics. Happy sewing and Merry Christmas! 🌲
Looked up your channel by way of Brenda from Mount Scrapmore. I’m never brave enough to purchase an end of bolt mystery box. Never know if I get big enough pieces to do anything with them or if the fabrics coordinate. But it looks like you could make a scrap quilt. The border fabrics could be cut into squares and framed with a coordinating solid to make a block. Thank you for sharing and will look up your other videos. Merry Christmas 🎄 Christine-Texas
I love Missouri Star Quilt Company! I've seen these end of bolt mystery boxes, but I've never been tempted to buy one, even when they were half price because I knew the fabric would be nothing I would ever use. After seeing what you got in yours, I was 100% correct. I have bought mystery charm packs, layer cakes and jelly rolls when they were half price at MSQC. I think I only got two that I wasn't crazy about.
@@janetfitzgerald984 That's interesting they sent the same items. I wonder what they truly consider "end of the bolt" and how many pieces they cut it into to make all these boxes.
How often do they have these? I didn’t know about them, and I just signed up with my email address. I looked on their website and didn’t find mystery boxes. I think these mystery boxes would be awesome for me and my sewing endeavors.
@robinhixson4083 I got this one around Black Friday. I see them every now and then. Not all the time, though. I saw this one in one of their promotional emails.
What a lovely box of pretty fabrics!
I'm really happy with the box too!
I love your fur baby helper, that did not seem to be bothered by getting buried! The quilt behind you is beautiful!
@HelenP-js4hl lol yeah, he always likes to be in the middle of things.
Would love to add those to my scrappy stash. Lovely selection.
I'll add your name to the hat!
I'll put your name in the drawing!
Merry Christmas! I love the purple ones.
@ohnickie Merry Christmas to you too! Thanks for stopping by.
My favorite was the first one.
I like those 4 pieces. They remind me of a project that my mother helped me complete.
That sounds interesting. Was it a scrappy project?

I didn’t know fabric houses sell mystery end of bolt boxes. What a surprise to receive!!
@laurajercha9587 Yeah, there were a lot of good prints in there. If they have another good sale again, I may be tempted to get another one.
The green stripe fabric would make an adorable border on a baby or child's quilt.
Thanks for sharing. You got one of the best mixes I've seen from folks on line. Enjoy!
@donnachace-larson4795 Thanks, yeah, I like most of them. The box was a winner for me.

@pgeishirt I was surprised myself. I really thought I would get some "duds" but the box had a lot of good prints.

Thanks so much! I thought it was fun to see what was in there too.
Hi Lea. I like those four fabrics. Thank you for the video. I have learned that for stripes, they can look good as smaller squares.
@@paulaneary7877 Thanks, I'll try that out.
One thing I LOVE doing with stripes that I otherwise do not know how to use - I make bias bindings. I make mostly scrappy quilts, and anything goes!
@jonnaosborne1832 That is a good idea! They will look totally different cut on the bias.

@sewcrazybaker I'm glad the video helped you. I haven't tried the mystery layer cakes yet. I might give those a try.
Any fabric can be cut into small squares, that's what I do with fabrics that I'm not fond of 😆 I just subscribed ❤😊
That's a great way to use up fabric you're not sure what to do with. Thanks for subscribing!
@QuiltedDelights Merry Christmas!
For the “striped” fabric, there is a table topper pattern called Triangle Frenzy Swirl using a 60 degree ruler. I have always wanted to make one.
@@mrs.rabbit621 ooh, I'll have to look that up. Thanks!
The "stripe" is for borders. I got the same box, and the fabric patterns are the same. I was please with mine as a first--time buyer.

It was a little over half off during one of their holiday sales.

I just found your channel from you tube, I agree with you Purple Ailen is better. Tyfs
@kimgoodwin8018 I am thinking about doing some fussy cutting and making some Polaroid blocks with a few of those aliens.
