Try making Eggs Benedict with bearnaise sauce instead of Hollandaise sauce. Your family will LOVE it. Then try putting bearnaise on steamed veggies! So good!
I am so excited! I just got my mill last night. I can't wait to use it. I have church this morning, then it on. Thank you for all your great videos that I know will help change our family's lives.
I made some today and turned them into breakfast sandwiches for our upcoming road trip. Who needs McDonald’s when you have a Mock mill? Thanks for the video, Felicia. It really helped.
Well kinda cool to use kamut. I can totally do that (grains available locally) but I like to use rings for my english muffins. Makes them raise straight up ^. My giant mogogo will hold approximately eight rings at a time. I look forward to the flavor ❤
Well it took me a while Felicia but today I made the english muffins with Hard White Berries and I was SHOCKED how light and delicious they were! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I don't know what I was so worried about! I learned on the last batch that the smaller burner on our cook top was actually the best one so I know for the next batch which is right around the corner!! - Laura in NW FL
Well now. I was going to make English muffins and here ya go. I also have Kamut on hand. Eggs benedict, that sounds like a perfect supper. We add ham to ours. Thanks!
Thanks for keeping it real! English Muffins and Joseph’s Pitas are the only bread products I currently purchase, definitely need to change that. How would Spelt work for these? ❤
English muffins are on my list to try this week…great minds think alike…can’t wait to try them! Just curious about the upgrade of your mixer…does the Artiste do more that the Bosch? I thought they were basically the same. Thanks so much for your enthusiasm and all you do❤️
I see that this flour kind of works like einkorn. My question is about the gluten. Is it stronger than Einhorn. Reference wheat, spelt or einkorn type of gluten???
New to milling wheat. My dough is always ending up feeling gritty. Is this normal. I'm using my Thermomix to mill the grain and wondering if it's not getting it fine enough. Anybody experienced the same?
YES! I have never gotten into freezer meals because I don't have the freezer space. But I have found my love of canning and making THOSE my prepared meals!
A little char likely made them tasty! They looked great to me. I must try making these. Regarding Kamut aka Khorasan grains, they are the lowest gluten grain on the face of the earth, and as you mentioned Felicia, they are ancient grains. They've also not been genetically modified! They date back to the time of Pharaoh too! The Messiah Himself may have picked these as He and His disciples were walking!! And, for those in Canada, I live in Ontario (The eastern side of the Country) and I order my grains from Fieldston Organics in British Columbia. The shipping is expensive but the grains, in my opinion, are affordable. They have Kamut/Khorasan grains too. I order all my grains from them.
Fieldstone organics is where I do my shopping! You're right, the shipping is really high, so I take the 2 hour drive to Armstrong, B.C. once a year in the fall and stock up. I am so grateful that I can get grains. Now to find a cow share for raw milk and I'll be set.
I just got my Wondermill and will be starting my whole grain journey. I have been baking for many years but this will be a new adventure. I also live in Ontario, near North Bay, and I will be ordering my grains from Fieldstone Organics as well, specifically the hard white wheat to start with. I found the hard and soft red more locally so saving on shipping costs.
I made it twice. Once, I waited for 6 hours and the second time I waited about 20 hours. It tasted more like sourdough the second time. I could not get them to look like your pic with the little pockets inside. They look closer to what is seen in the video. Did I do something wrong?
Sorry you're having difficulty. I wish I could answer every question on here!! Are you in our exclusive membership group, The Grainie Bunch? It's an incredibly supportive community, and I do troubleshoot one-on-one in there. Check it out: www.grainsandgrit.com/thegrainiebunch
They look fabulous, but I have to keep searching. Hoping to find same texture but without egg due to miserable egg allergy (not the kind that kills you, but the kind with serious gut issues that makes you wish you might die for a little while), drat!!! Do you have another recipe? (New to your channel. I like it already)
I do not have another English muffin recipe, but my simple yeast bread loaf has no egg along with many other recipes. You can check them out on my website, https:\\www.grainsandgrit.com/recipes
There are egg substitutes that you can do. Flax seed ground up and water is one of them. For one egg replacement recipe is 1 tablespoon of ground flax seed and 2 1/2 tablespoons of water mixed together let rest for 5 minutes to thicken.
Well that was disappointing... I clicked on this video based on the gorgeous photo only to find out 15min later those are NOT the English muffins she made! Come on... Click bait.
Azure Standard does have it.

Yes, Azure standard has Kamut. I ordered it last month. I'm working on gathering all the grain.
Trying this today. I've been told if you don't twist your cutter the dough will rise better. Thanks for your recipes!

I love this recipe!! I have made it several times now!! Love it
Wonderful! Glad to hear it!

Wonderful!
Wonderful. Thank you. Eva
Yeah! I finally found the receipt for one loaf of hard red wheat bread. I need to purchase one of the loaf pans for one large loaf.
Thank you❤
The perfect English Muffins! Followed the recipe exactly except I used Spelt.
Thank you! 😊
Wonderful!
Can’t wait to make these.
Can they be shaped first n then proof overnight in fridge?
I have bought Kamut from Azure in the last few months!
Felicia could you use sourdough starter instead of yeast and how would you do that?
Well now. I was going to make English muffins and here ya go. I also have Kamut on hand. Eggs benedict, that sounds like a perfect supper. We add ham to ours. Thanks!
I know ham is typically added, but I didn't have any on hand! That would be delicious!
Could using 100 g of sourdough be a substitute for making these sourdough?
Thank you!
Thanks for keeping it real! English Muffins and Joseph’s Pitas are the only bread products I currently purchase, definitely need to change that. How would Spelt work for these? ❤
Spelt should work just fine :-) Probably same amount of flour, but, of course, watch it!
@@GrainsandGrit Thanks so much; I can always count on my “Grain Guru.”
I just ordered a bucket of Spelt from PHG and I'm hoping to get the Kamut when it's back in stock. I cannot wait to make English muffins!!!! 🥰

The Artiste is not an upgrade. Just another good mixer. The Bosch is able to handle a bit more dough and is a bit more sturdy than the Artiste.
Yum! Can’t wait to try this. I have a big bucket of Khorasan wheat from PHG. Well worth the investment!
I’ll be getting some more my next order!
I have s vitamix with the grain mill container. What is your opinion of it??
I've done that, too. It really only works in small amounts, though.
They look wonderful!❤

I like your cherry cabinets
Thanks, they're imitation and falling apart, but hopefully the Lord will give me a remodel soon!
Great video! Thank you Felicia ❤

Your canning looks great! I still have much canned meat on my shelves. It has been so convenient to not have to cook meat for recipes.
YES! I have never gotten into freezer meals because I don't have the freezer space. But I have found my love of canning and making THOSE my prepared meals!
Hey, this isn’t a bread question but how did you mount your knife magnet to your tile? Mine keeps falling i used 3M tape!!
Mine came with screws. So that baby is screwed in!
Breadtopia has Kamut but it is not organic unless they got their certification back.
How about a British crumpet recipe with fresh milled flour..
Good idea!!
We had them this morning as egg "mcmuffins" and they are wonderful. Took several tries to get it right but worth it 😊
Love it!!!
@Kathy Overmyer
What cheese did you use. That's my weakest link for now.
Are there any recipe books for freshly milled flour? If not. You should publish one. Just saying. 😅
Yes there are a few out there. Sue Becker has one and others are out there too!
@@GrainsandGritcan you make a video letting us know about this books

Yes, they're an ancient grain. But in reality, no wheat is genetically modified. Even the modern varieties are non-GMO.

I cant find where you did bagels for 365 challenge.
No, I had a little emergency and had to share a recipe without doing a video for it: www.michalgrappe.com/post/fresh-milled-bagels
