I wouldn't recommend trying this on a wall, unless you plan on removing the drywall with the backsplash, beware of wiring and plumbing! Once the backer board or drywall is removed you might consider installing additional receptacles in convenient areas, and or run electrical for under cabinet lighting.
Klint Krenzke Actually, there is half-inch backer board in place of where the drywall would be. I know because I put it there. Yeah, I’m not sure how well it would work. At any rate, the backsplash has got to go.
This demo was on a schluter rolled underlayment which made it an easier demo, backerboard is usually unsaveable during a demo if it was properly installed.
Thanks John! when I do walls and find that it is being difficult, I just take the drywall with it, I cut the drywall at the edge of the tile and pull it out in full pieces, when it is all out, I consider adding any outlets before redoing the sheetrock, backer board, and new tile if any.
Thank you for sharing

His skills are wasted on Tile should be drumming with Iron Maiden . good work
Is the backer board damaged ?

Can you reuse the hardie if it's glued and screwed down?
If the tile was properly installed probably not, this demo was on a schluter underlayment which made it an easier removal.
Kooks like a go for me, will try this on a small section of kitchen wall. Better than the drum solo from Iron Butterfly

Nothings better than the drum solo from Iron Butterfly...except Bonzo's Montreux. ;>
nice, but my Bosch Bulldog Extreme lifted each tile fully without the shards flying around. Should consider it-
Thanks Geo
