“If Soviet and Cyanide were in a horror movie, they’d die before the end.”
By teamkill, yeah
they would be the teens on Tucker and Dale vs Evil.
They would die before the film started... :D
@@immortaljanus One of them would kill another by mistake, only to die from actual killer second later.
@@ceu160193 And the killer would stumble over their corpses and fall to his death.
Remember that video where Soviet and Cyanide played co-op horror game (in the castle where one person must guide other person to escape, I forget the game name).
To be fair his "shots" were big enough to end multiple bottles of booze while the others didn't even have to switch drinks yet so I'd say it's a miracle he didn't need an ambulance after this
British were consuming whisky for centuries, so they have strong liver to survive that.
@@ceu160193 I think most of europe is just a bunch of alcoholics love from germany were you can buy beer with 16 ;)
And that Soviet was literally taking bug Swigs xD so they wouldn't be considered shots. Big swigs would be much more than one shot. Probably one and a half or two
@@ceu160193 if you think the British are impressive, you should see the Irish.
To be fair soviet was probably the worst player on their team and they were winning since we are watching his presprctive it makes it seem like they drank alot but probably most of them didint even finish a bottle cuz they only died like 10 times max while soviet was dying probably every round
RSI = "Repetitive Strain Injury". Common in computer jobs, it's basically pain induced through common repetitive straining tasks, including using keyboards and mice for long periods.
Also known as wankers cramp
Ah that explains his masturbation joke alongside it
I laughed so fucking hard in the “ISIS” theme one already knowing what was coming and he was all “nonono please no”
25:40 Soviet didn't have shot glass so he was gulping. And 1 gulp was like 2-3 actual shots so he wasn't after 5 but 10-15
I suspected as much. I remember first seeing this and I wanted to call a hospital for him.
which kinda makes him more alcohol tolerant than the others
Three shots are basically one mouthfull, so I seriously doubt the gulps were that large. 2 shots at most imo.
Funnily enough he also did not have to take 3 "shots" at 25:55ish , he got tased, not knifed.
"If you're American you've been drinking since you were 14"
Me, a slav: Those are rookie numbers.
IIRC the irish say the same.

Yeah thats 10 years older for this Englishman, for special occasions granted

Since you asked, this is my knowledge of Cyanide that I've gleaned from watching Womble for several years. I have no idea how accurate it is:
His real name is Amir, we know that because in one video he was talking to Siri and that's how she addressed him.
He is an Indian national that used to live in Singapore but has since moved to the UK
While he was living in Singapore he had to to do his compulsory military service, I heard it was as a fireman, and that helped him lose a lot of weight. He's actually only slightly husky last time I saw a full body picture of him, which was several years ago but I digress
He is apparently in real estate as his day job
He is a massive car geek, and allegedly owns a McLaren, I've also heard rumors his parents are fucking loaded
Also Oddka is a real brand unfortunately
isn't he a CEO or an associate of some flight simulator company? or am I misremembering things?
We also know Cyanide is Amir from the later DayZ mod videos where a girlfriend of his (not Gortie, I believe) called him Amir multiple times.
@@saikopro oh I assumed it was the same woman since they sound similar
@@justinemartinez4926 He owns Fenix Simulations and is making an Airbus model for Microsoft flight sim. He also participate in a few virtual F1 events in 2020.
Does Oddka just specialize in making shitty vodka flavors? I wonder if they have a bacon or turkey flavor...
CS:GO is known for starting the loot box craze by their weapon skin cases. Buy a key and get a random skin of different rarities. The only reason why people don't give Valve shit for it is because you can sell the skins on the community market and get money back into your Steam account. I once sold a rare knife for $230 and bought games for my friends with the profits.
The controversy is toward 3rd party sites that allow you to bet ridiculous amounts of money for skins and get actual money back instead of just credits that can only be used on Steam. Some are pretty damn shady.
It was even worse when most of those sites were owned my community members that "found" these sites and made videos where they rigged it in their favor so make it seem like easy money when it was the least balanced slots possible. It was all a massive scam, and stuff that is 100% illegal if it wasn't over in-game content.
ua-cam.com/video/9iQJdOpA1aM/v-deo.html Here is a good resource
@@nanotheawsome3277 But wait, there's more! A couple of guys got in big trouble for not only rigging the odds in their favor for the ads, but committed an actual crime by not disclosing that they were the owners of the site.
Its crazy for what prices some skins and stickers can rise. I buy and unbox few katowice holo stickers back in 2014. Sold 2 titans last year for $78 000.
@@nanotheawsome3277 dont forget the tragedy of Mcskillet
Way back in the day during my first time playing paintball at a friends birthday party. The first round a kids mask had fogged up so he left the round to get it fixed.
A kid from Russia who was on his team after the round was over went up to him and shot him in the back of the head. Loudly telling everyone that retreat is punishable by death.
I guess we know what he was in a past life
"If you will not serve in combat, then you will serve in the firing line!"
BLAM!
Rough.
20:30 They actually didnt censor this, he was playing the censored version. Thats why they were laughing so hard
Suggestion: Any of the War Thunder Antics, by Norden, They're really good videos, It's a similar style to Soviet Womble's CSGO and ArmA BS, But applied to War Thunder, imo pretty funny stuff
yeeeeees good stuff!!! wanna see this^^
BALD!!!
BAAAAALD !!!
Isnt he also part of zf or friends with some of them
@@jacksonm6969 I think he's just interacted with them a few times, Nordern has his own buddies
The CS skin controversy started when a youtuber advertised a skin gambling site without disclosing that he was the owner and was fixing the odds in his favor in the videos. Valve then went after all the gambling sites, its alive and well today. that's the short version btw lol.
Pretty sure that was Syndicate, yeah. Could'a swore some government agencies were digging into it, too (cuz, y'know, gambling laws).
"No one can be five shots in and have a buzz."
Clearly, you have never gone out to party with Slavs, Paul.
Ah but you see they have mastered the fine art of Zakuski, a large bottle of vodka can disappear with that and you barely notice it.
The trick my extended family in Poland taught me is to eat while drinking, especially bread. It absorbs the drink and sort of spreads out your body getting to process it as it digests the food
A note you seemed to miss: Echo wasn't following Elenii, the other ZF members were pushing him into the same channels as her.
Womble getting master guardian elite is a running theme that he has not spendt nearly enough time playing the game to reach this very high rank.
he only got the rank because he is with the others and getting averaged up fast.
And womble just gets the rank before Cyanide, after a reset?/derank?, is extra salt in the wound.
I've had experience with the "you die you drink" game. A buddy and I were playing Battlefield 4...I'm terrible at first person shooters. Apparently we played for 4 or 5 hours but I only remember the first 2 or 3 matches. My last clear memory of the night was playing medic and t-bagging team mates after reviving them. I was told the next day that I politely excused myself to go to the bathroom and never returned. I vaguely remember vomiting into my kitchen sink and dozing off with my head in my freezer because I was sweating like a whore in church. I woke up on my living room floor with an almost empty bottle of tequila on the coffee table. It had been full at the start of the night. I haven't touched tequila since and that same bottle has been in my cabinet for 8 years.
Needless to say, you probably shouldn’t EVER do that again…
and this, is why i hate getting drunk.
@Dexorne Never understood the idea of purposely getting drunk… Not unless there’s something you really don’t want to think about in that moment.
@@andreassmed2255 and yet people keep doing it, it is the nature of alcohol and it's anti inhibitory characteristics(not sure if the words are correct but you get me) best way not to get drunk is not to drink.
@Dexorne Thing is, typically when people get drunk, it’s because they intend to. I can maybe understand it if the person is having a bad day and would rather not be dealing with life for a couple of hours, even if it isn’t a great way to deal with it, as long as it isn’t excessive I don’t see a problem. But as a recreational activity? I can’t in my mind rationalize how getting drunk can be “fun” or even be worth the potential hangover that follows…
This of course comes from someone who’s almost never been drunk in his life.
23:40 let's also not forget that the producers of Jack Daniels can get away with short barrel times and dye (or smalleer casks to cheat the time required) because US law just says that to be called whisky, one of the requirements is that it has to spend an amount of time in a new charred oak barrel. An "amount" can be as little as a few minutes (in fact, there's a whisky called something like "5 Minute Whiskey" because it's a new make spirit that is only in the barrel for a few minutes before it hits the bottling area).
18:41
The ranking system in csgo is infamous.
The ranks go as follows:
Silver 1, 2, 3, 4, silver elite, silver elite master.
Gold nova 1, 2, 3, 4, Master Guardian, Master Guardian 2, Master Guardian Elite.
Distinguished Master Guardian Elite.
Legendary Eagle.
Legendary Eagle Master.
Supreme Master First Class.
Global Elite.
0:40 Womble explains to context, so you could explain in short: "Oh, someone tried to troll Womble by putting the f-slur all over his steam page"
There are multiple renditions of the song "Womble is a (Slur)" in his earlier work. Edburg even sings a great version of it in the RUST videos.
12:44 from reports I've found, shooting soldiers who were retreating was pretty uncommon, the Soviets struggled with man power shortages throughout the war, so it was much more common to shoot over the heads of retreating soldiers to scare them into continuing the attack. The stereotype probably comes from the fact that the Soviet military did use execution as a punishment much more often than other nations, but scenarios like in the movie Enemy at the gates were very uncommon.
Order. 227
As i heard the Germans had even more battalions of policia that shooting retreating soldiers, the Soviets had. Nowadays the Russian anti-communist propaganda in Russia are trying to wash and clean Germans, but spitting at Soviets people, even telling that they was not Russians at all, so we have the new characters like in the movie "Enemy at the gates" - the NKVD that shoots everyone: civilians and soldiers just for it to be. In modern Russian movies soldiers are not fighting Germans, they just drinking and than comes the NKVD guy and shoot them all, than comes Germans and acting like real gentlemen with civilians, while Soviets just shooting everyone.
@@wulfgraad3857 Order 227 was more relevant to officer than the average soldier. Panic is infectious, it was officers job to make sure it didn't spread. If a unit fled, it was the officers fault. The Soviet also struggled with poorly trained officers. After the Winter War they reformed the army including making divisions smaller, resulting in more divisions and more demand for officers. When the Germans invaded the training of officer was not finished. It got so bad they they removed the corps level command and used to officers in divisions. Many death sentences were also commuted. Also remember that much of what is known about the Eastern Front in the west came from the Germans. They were not trustworthy. They were trusted regardless. And with the Cold War they had no reason not to spread rumors of human waves and shooting of their own on mass scale
Finally, a proper discussion of events circa WWII. I missed this so much after casual Reddit browsing...
@@Aragorn195 that makes sense, thanks mate
When I turned 21 my grandpa took my friend & I to celebrate. We bought several “shooters” & a bottle of rum chata & played a drinking game. I ended blacking out & when I woke up, I had an empty box of krsipy kreme doughnuts on the floor & a half-eaten box on my bed. Needless to say, it was an awesome birthday
"your first drink" and "aged 21" isn't a thing I've ever heard of hear in South Africa since we don't have a legal drinking age, you just need someone over 18 to buy it and then anyone can drink it.
I don't know if its just a cultural thing but, drinking in the UK compared to the USA seems drastically different. Nights out when I was at University in Scotland, 5 shots was practically nothing, the amount of shot races I had to do for my sports team was crazy
I think it's an American thing tbh, alcohol is much more of a taboo there (and they actually respect the drinking age)... in Italy its the same as the UK more or less
@@marianna4506 i get what you’re saying but the guy himself said in the video they drink from 14. I think its exposure and eventually getting it out of your system. I didn’t go to parties every day at uni but I drank a lot at each party I went to. Now I’ll rarely drink at all, if someone offers me a drink I’ll have one but its not like I’m thinking “man I could really have a beer right now” every evening

The names are still as "edgy" as ever. Plenty of porn names, edge lord names, full blown racist names. Advertisement to porn websites, etc etc.
To patreon's, people using "key binds." To spam the chat for whatever, cringey sentences. To their porn sites, fundme sites, to scam websites.
Csgo still has a pretty crappy community of players. I try to watch a few friends who still play this game, snd its all the same to me.
8:37
Theres been ALOT of controversy over csgo and its weapon customizations/decals.
Teams purposefully throwing matches because they placed huge gambling bets against them, so that way they made so much money more then in case they'd won the official prize pool.
Csgo betting gambling websites rigging their games n prizes (shocker.) And paying huge sponsors to big time yt'ers to entice tons of gamblers to play their rigged websites.
There has been alot of crap with them over the years.
Another big one was the ones who kept advertising the CSGO betting sites, and not saying that they had actual stake in the company or were being paid to advertise (aka Tmartin).
I think this is one of my favorite Soviet Womble videos glad to see you get around to watching it
Back in the late 80's I was playing a gig at this biker bar. First set in, a waitress brings a tray of rocks glasses full of Tequila to the stage and sits them down right in front of me. So I pass one each to my guitarist and drummer, and start sippin' whatever throughout the set. From what I'm told, half way through the second set someone else took over bass guitar duties as I did my best Jim Morrison impression for the rest of the night, which actually went over well. Next thing I know I wake up on the beach (AC, NJ) with this girl I knew who wanted to make sure I made it out ok. Haven't drank it since.
17:20 : I love that moment when you realize what's going to come next.
Oh my god the ISIS theme song one always makes me laugh to the point of wheezing, and Paul's reaction is just another level of brilliant.
The faces you make everytime cyanide makes fun of soviet can fit so many memes
As a person who is physically incapable of drinking alcohol, this is painful to watch. I hope those guys are alright.
What? How can you be incapable of that? Those guys were fine. Probably just a few headaches
@@mondexponent2126 Even a small amount of alcohol is enough to give me a terrible headache.
@@steamdwarfjr5475 oh damn. Didn’t even know about something like that
Nah don't worry, this video was from like 5 years(?) ago. So they're still kicking
@@soksocks I actually watched this video a long time ago, according to my history. Somehow I forgot about it.
31:30 As a Slav I can confirm. I don't drink much. Usually once or twice a year at some occasion but most I drunk was 27 shots of vodka and was almost completely sober. Eastern and central Europe has different standards for amounts drunk
Man you must have searched far and wide to find the shittiest vodka you could just to flex. This dude found 20 proof vodka lmao
@@zeallust8542 I didn't mean as flexing but as saying that in this region standards are different and what Paul said makes sense. If I phrased it wrong way I'm sorry. English is not my native language
@@Krokmaniak Issue with that being, your standard does not change what a lethal dose is, nor does it change how drunk youd get. If you drink once or twice a year like you said, and had 27 shots in a night, you would literally die.
@@zeallust8542 On one hand yes, on another for some reason Slavs have higher tolerance for some reason (I don't think anyone know actually why) and there are multiple cases of people having 2-3 times over lethal dose and being completely fine. Though you shouldn't drink more than you feel is safe and when you get to the point you are drunk you should stop. Also this wasn't binging it all at once but it was like 6 hours party so before I drunk last one first one was almost completely gone from the body. I think I should have mentioned it earlier.
@@Krokmaniak the fact it was spaced over 6 hours makes a lot more sense. You made it sound like it was like 2 hours lol.
Also as far as the Slavs having more tolerance simply comes from the fact that you can have a genetic alcohol tolerance. If both your parents and their parents drank often, odds are you can handle quite a bit more liquor, as is the case with me and probably a ton of slavs too
20:25 i believe the main reason why "gary" was censored was because that was a video they were playing while streaming and sovietwombles videos are more akin to VOD highlights where little about the original stream is edited while being transitioned into these videos from those streams
Heya man, thanks for including nonbinary people in your advice. I know our words are wack, but it means so much to us. Awesome reaction :D
_Not even 5 f**king seconds and the video already threatens your monetisation!_ HAHAHAHA
It's always hilarious when you see yanks having a panic attack over a word
Thats not what hes having the "panic attack" over. Its the YT algorithm for monetisation.
Cs go has like dozens of controversies involving its skins
But the main reason is that unlike most games with loot boxes that u get skins from in cs go those skins are worth real money wich means u are literally gambling when opening skins in cs
Pretty sure I read somewhere that Tequila particularly affects the memory, if you get drunk from tequila and pass out, you are more likely to forget the night than most other forms of alcohol
woah woah woah, you cant slate Southern Comfort for being "syrupy" but then say Gin & Tonic with Cucumber is "refreshing"
In the ZF horror/mystery movie: Soviet is 100% the nerd, Cyanide would be the jock, Edberg is the straight man trope, Nevil/Chinny/Quebec is the stoner group, Nep is the unrequited love interest, Carton is the curious guy who dies first, Digby is the guy who knows the folklore for whatever is happening, Cake is the girl at the end who is the only survivor
You can fast-age a liquor by blasting it with ultrasound while it has the wood floating in it.
Not that they do it yet much but they should.
"I'm flanking." Flanking around the entire globe, just so they don't expect it.
Just a small detail that I'm not sure you noticed, but in the chat at minute 31:50 of this video, you can see the other team cussing at them and calling them hackers.
Yes, that's how bad the other team was, losing against a bunch of players who were completelly wasted XD.
Just a note: Jack Daniels IS aged. 5 years minimum.
Yeah two big CSGO youtubers got involved in a major scam regarding a csgo skin gambling site. One could say the skins were the nfts before nfts. It was discovered that youtubers were owners in the sight that they advertised and had given themselves free rolls to show how much u can win.
ok ngl, your commentary on these videos is actually pretty entertaining and informative!
there's not a lot of reaction channels that do these sorts of things from what I know

I'm not into getting drunk nor talkig to drunk people IRL but watching drunk people trying to function is pretty funny
"Spread out and search for clues. The girls and I are gonna check the bedroom."

I would like to see him watching a competitive CSGO Match. That would be interesting, bc PRO teams use some tactics in their games.
Between your explanation of Asminov and your Afgan insights, you've got yourself another subscriber. Cheers man!
The chat was hilarious during the drinking contest. Team ZF was still doing well, or even better than usual. Either that, or the team they faced was even worse, because they were accusing Soviet's team of hacking.
Cyanide will take any opportunity to bully Womble. Whether it makes sense or not lol.
In terms of CSGO gambling scandal, Pyrocynical made a good video on it called “The CS:GO Rant”
Slight correction on the whiskey aging vs color. Texas can make a whiskey very dark in just a year. There are 12 year old scotch whiskey that they put coloring in so it doesn't look like new make. Part of the reason is the char on the barrel and the temperature variance and humidity.
5 years ago UA-cam was a very different place... People can still make content that was funny without being prosecuted
As a 'insert gay slur here' myself I really wish UA-cam didn't force people to censor this stuff, we all know ZF aren't actually homphobic or racist, it's all for comedic reasons which I fully support

If the game goes the round duration. Thats 30 shots of alcohol.
And the worst part is. If they go the near 3 minutes oer round. 2:45 per round.
Thats over an hour. They'd get blitz out of their minds by round 6-8.
31:30 - literally EVERYWHERE outside the NA. Like. if party goes for like 4 hours and on avarage you drink a shot every 15 minutes (pretty casual), then 16 shots is what you end up by the end. And that's not counting all the drinks and beer you had in between. And 4 hour party ain't that long.
yeah Americans are pretty lightweight
I just love that he drinks Sierra Tequila. I don't know if it is the same brand in england, but over here, Sierra is the cheapest shiz you can get. And you can tell. Useless for anything except getting drunk quickly with no regard for anything else.
I drank a pint of southern comfort this Sunday. The whole point of it is to mix with like 2 ounces of root beer and down it as fast as possible. Scotch is for sipping.
To answer your question about the controversy. Essentially there're sites that you can access where you bet your skins on a roulette to hopefully win better skins. These are already very sketchy, but what happened was that two youtubers (syndicate something and Faze something, can't remember the names) promoted a site that they "discovered" and it was later found out that they were the owners of those sites.
in horror movie, soviet and cyanide is either...
- the comedy duo who provide some funny moment, later end up dead, but turn out alive and well during mid credit
- or the typical duo who has no idea whats going on, but end up helping the main character during final moment either by accident or the usual "i have prepared everything for any situation, but i dont know what to do" kind of plot
oh Paul you sweet summer child - these guys are mostly british, this is pratically just breakfast

Regarding Jack Daniels: When my mom was in her rebellious phase, she necked half a bottle in one sitting.
Repetitive strain injury (RSI) is a general term used to describe the pain felt in muscles, nerves and tendons caused by repetitive movement and overuse.
It's also known as work-related upper limb disorder, or non-specific upper limb pain.
The condition mostly affects parts of the upper body, such as the:
forearms and elbows
wrists and hands
neck and shoulders
Symptoms of RSI
The symptoms of RSI can range from mild to severe and usually develop gradually. They often include:
pain, aching or tenderness
stiffness
throbbing
tingling or numbness
weakness
cramp
At first, you might only notice symptoms when you're carrying out a particular repetitive action.
But without treatment, the symptoms of RSI may eventually become constant and cause longer periods of pain. You may also get swelling in the affected area, which can last for several months.
In France it's pretty common for adults to have a bit of red wine at lunch and diner.
But firstly: it's not liquor or whiskey, the alcohol is somewhere between 10 and 20%.
Secondly it's in small quantities, you're not supposed to just fuck your brain up nor quench your thirst with it.
And finally: it's all about the taste. See it like a gustatory
support, that sublimes what you eat. Ideally, you chose the wine according to what you eat (usually the protein specifically) so that you get nice flavor combinations.
This is why when you go in restaurants in France, you might see menus with wine recommendations next to some items, to tell you which goes well with what. And you often can also ask the waiter or the owner, they usually also have a knowledge about it - higher end ones would even have an actual sommelier in the place.
Can't wait for him to be introduced to Cake.
21:23 : It's like that old joke..."say what you like about Hitler, but at least he killed Hitler."
You can find the whole drunk stream on youtube in six different parts. Just search Sovietwomble drunk and there should be a playlist with all parts.
Most I've had was 1 75cl bottle of captain morgan spiced gold and with my last glass I struggled holding it in. Slept for like 5 hours on a couch and woke up at 7 am feeling just fine.
Worst was when I got so drunk at my workplaces' christmas party I had to get driven home right around midnight, drinking on an empty stomach and having colleagues telling you to drink more is not a good combination.
Full time video production is awesome, more quality vids to enjoy now!
So by US law, to be classified as whiskey, it has to be aged for a minimum of 4 years in a charred oak barrel. Anything less than that has to labeled as a grain alcohol.
The "master guardian elite" part is better explained in the 2nd video. Don't need to do a reaction on it but you'll understand a bit more about why it matters and why Cy is angry if you watch it.
vid begins: "YUP, Cyanide things, there we go."
Yeah, this one is hard to watch, I feel so bad for soviet, he almost got alcohol poisoning
14:46 RSI is Repetitive Strain Injury. It refers to any injury you get from doing a repetitive action excessively over a long period of time. In gamers this typically manifests as nerve and ligament damage in the wrists and hands because of computer overuse.
From my school, one girl drunk an entire 1L bottle of Vodka and a guy drank a full bottle of champagne and two bottles of liquor. Both ended up in hospital. One flatlined! Thus, when I saw this video for the first time, I asked myself: is this suicide with extra steps?
alcohol is a poison so yes
at the end of that stream, he forgot about the live stream and wandered off lol
Won't surprice me if it turns out Cyanide was barrely drinking anything
If I remember right, they never did the drinking game again, for obvious reasons. 😆
womble didnt actually censor the song, in its original version it comes already pre censored.
Alos have to remember that Soviet is in the UK. And sometimes that word can mean also cigarette.
In Asia you go out drinking with your boss all the time because its considered rude to decline.
If you want to know about some actual information about the "Drinking Game",Soviet actually said in the comments how he was like, really bad in alcahol and even that could have intoxicated him
ZF literally has a goofy pothead. His name is Harry.
My preferred drink is Kraken rum or Sapphire gin.
tbf, im western european, and id consider it lightweight too, if i did miss the fact that soviet said "these gulps are prolly bigger than shots". he did not drink shots, he drank doubles or tripples ... and 12 of them.
It always puzzles me why Jack Daniels is one of the most popular drinks in a country (well, a group of constituent countries) where Scotch comes from (including about 50 really nice malts)
So when i was in my prime, 15 shots were not even enough to get me started.
I was always really good at keeping a golden level of drunk, right between sobering up and throwing up.
Used to be able to go all night until the first people woke up again and then keep going some more. My best was two nights in a row with a good little sleep during the second day until the evening.
Also never had a hangover, except that one time drinking VERY cheap vodka, but that hangover set in 2 minutes after drinking that crap, so i blame the booze.
20:20 the garry pic I think thats the source youtube video and the sorce was censored (soviet did no edit from what I remember).
and from what I recall it was not that much still a lot like they censured 2 aditional words for every curse/bad word kind of deal.
you should give the Rising Storm 2 Vietnam one a watch. Gold
20:30 that video was actually already censored. if it was up to Womble, he probably wouldnt have bother.
Soviet's CSGO videos, specially this one, are constantly eating at his channel's chance of survival lol
The "no step back" order is also misrepresented, it mainly deals with officers (including political officers) allowing _disorderly_ retreat and retreat without prior authorization. Noone would shoot you for abandoning a failed assault. Maybe if you abandoned the assault but continued running past your own guys though. Even then there would most likely be a trial, unless the comissar who found you managed to rally you to go the fuck back (which they managed more often than not).
