Proud of you for going back and giving it another try. Even more proud that you shared the mistakes you made during the first review! Let's face it... most of us don't want to admit when we might be wrong about something. Especially in front of all the critics on soc med 🙄😉. But you did and you look better for it! Inside AND out! 😘
@melaniesbuchanan1759 thank you so much! It warms my heart that you appreciate my honesty! I never have trouble admitting when I know I'm wrong (which is a lot!) lol
@@BeautyBeyond50byCorrineThanks for asking. I'm still learning proper techniques. BTW...I prefer to match my foundation to my neck, to avoid bringing it down. Just a thought. Have a wonderful week!
@@mberrynunez That is Brilliant! Can't believe I never thought of that, thanks for the suggestion. I still have a lot to learn about makeup application as well hun, and I learn it from a lot of Makeup gurus like Marlena Stel, Angie Hot and Flashy, Dominique Sachse, Nikki La Rose and so many more. Then I bring what I learned to my channel. Thanks again for your love and support. I appreciate you. ❤
Thank you for this review. I am thinking about trying out the primer as well. Your skin looks fantastic; I wish mine looked as good. My main issue is dealing with dark spots and fine lines. I'm hopeful that the foundation and concealer will provide some improvement.
@Vegasgur0000 I have the same issues. I have a blemish scare on my temple that just did not want to go away, but I've been using Paula's Choice Vitamin C on it every night and it has been fading!!!! 😍 I feel like the foundation is a good coverage to hide the dark spots, but not the best for fine lines, but, I honestly think that the primer is the culprit for that.
@@BeautyBeyond50byCorrine I'm only one click away from the Primer trial. I think I'm going to do it now, lol. 😅 Thank you again for your honest review and good advice.
@@Vegasgur0000 to have the amazing results with the foundation you really should get the primer with it as well.. I absolutely LOVE the primer.. and I have tried so many.. just recently I tried to switch foundations and primers and I have found that the new foundations settled into my fine lines that have just started getting.. I'm restarting my subscription to them..
Thank you for the exfoliation reminder. I'm trying my Il Makiage for the first time tomorrow, so tonight I'll be sure to have my skin in the best condition possible for my first use in the morning.
@@BeautyBeyond50byCorrine Well, I was hopeful but it is too highly fragranced for me and my skin started to burn (I'm allergic to nearly everything topical, so no surprise) I've already washed it off and will be packaging it up for return. I'm glad you did another review, as it really does suit you!
I have the Il Makiage and it is okay on its own but it is great mixed with other foundations. It makes every foundation I mix it with last longer than it would normally.
So blender after the brush... wet or dry on the blender? And if just doing this where the fine lines are, is there a transition that one can see between the "brushed" section and the "blended" section? Thanks in advance!
@@melaniesbuchanan1759 I have been hearing that it's best to use a damp (barley wet, but wet) Beauty Blender in the troublesome areas like the under eyes, crows feet, forehead and laugh lines, after using the foundation brush. I have tried this and it does work, but I always forget this step when doing my makeup. lol I need to put a HUGE florescent poster on my mirror saying "USE SPONGE AFTER BRUSH!" lol When I do remember to use this method, I don't feel like you can see the transition.
@@BeautyBeyond50byCorrine When I use this primer I use only 2 pumps for my whole face. But everyone is different, if you need 3 pumps then that's okay.
@candiejo3869 Thank you for sharing your honest feedback! I am so sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience with it! Would you mind sharing your experience in the comments so that others can be informed?
@BeautyBeyond50byCorrine I purchased the foundation a few years ago in prep for my wedding. I was like many wowwed by the ads. I used it exactly like the instructions said to. I believe back then they didn't have a primer, but I don't remember. The foundation was a great color match so at first I was really excited. 5 -10 mins later.. It turned an orangey color. I was so confused. I reached out to ILM thinking maybe I got a bad bottle or something. They proceeded to tell me that the problem was my skin and that either the base product that I used or just my bare skin caused the foundation to oxidize. So I waited a few days and tried again. Same thing happened. I tried like 4 different times with different primers and freshly washed skin. Every single time it turned orange. I reached out again and they advised to return and get a different color, but by then I was out of my 14 days. Even though I had contacted them about the issues. Girl I was so upset I wasted money and time on it. I could've purchased so much other stuff with the $45 that I put into the trash.... 😓
@@candiejo3869 Awww, I am so sorry! I did find that it oxidized a bit on my skin as well, and I looked a bit yellow. I think they should have given you a refund because you did call them with issues before the 14 days ended. That is just poor customer service. I didn't have any issues returning it the first time I tried it (In this video) ua-cam.com/video/LLeHfvilgF4/v-deo.html but I returned it right away after recording this video. You can see it made my face look orange in that one. I don't blame you for being upset hun, I would be too. May I ask which foundation you are currently using?
