This motor is awesome, I have it on all my crawlers. My TRX4 is so smooth on the low end and rips in 2nd gear. It's fast. I recommend this motor to everyone with a 1/10 crawler. it's that good. Now if only they would make one for 1/6th scale for my Honcho. That would be so clean under the hood. I appreciate your reviews, I purchase m products based on your reviews and thorough testing that I enjoy watching. You're a legend!
Hi, following your channel as my go to 👍🇦🇺 Keen to do this motor upgrade on my trx4. Question i have is, if the esc is inbuilt into the motor, what controls the steering servo? Do i keep the standard esc in conjunction 🤷♂️ Sorry if i sound like a noob, im trying to learn.
I own 4 of these, run them in all my trx4's and one in a gen8. One of them I bought when they came out, the dY they came out, been using it since and have never had one issue. It gets bashed and beat on and gets warm but not hot, I can touch it after an hour crawl. I would recommend to anyone.
@@travisdieter6119 yes, it definitely is better than the stock motor. Haven't put a GPS on any of them but they are quicker and faster with the fusion. Yet the modulation is unreal.
I purchased my FusionPro 2300kv a few months back based on your first review of the 1800kv version. I was so impressed with not just the performance of the motor combo but also the abuse you put it though. So smooth and makes crawling so much better!
Have been running the 1800kv version for almost 2 years now, just accounted for the lower rpm with a bigger pinion, and I absolutely love it! Best motor/esc for slow crawling period.
I put this into my Traxxas Bronco 2.0. So glad I did. The built in esc/motor combo is so clean. The low speed/torque out of this motor is insane. I’m so happy that a fellow crawler recommended it to me. Keep up the great reviews!
Totally agree SIR this MOT and ESC are amazing. Especially the size difference now between the pro and the 3 original version. Which are AMAZING but the smaller length definitely helps loads with custom builds ect. Hope you all have a great weekend 🇬🇧🇺🇲🕊️✌🏼🤙🏼
Put one in my kinda heavy TRX4 Sport a couple months ago. I ended up gearing it down simply because I didn’t need so much speed. Slow control and torque are just unbeatable! Also it sends more amps through the BEC to the servo than the original. Just bought a Capra kit and plan on putting another in there.
Ok, you did it, you have put so much effort into working with the Fusion Pro, so that you can inform your viewers, you have officially convinced me to put one in my TRX4. Now, to find a transmitter, since as I understand the Traxxas TQI won't pair with it. Likely going to pair it with the Flysky GT5 from my Gen8 Axe (which you also convinced me to buy). Watching your channel can be expensive! Thanks for all you do, always providing us with very informed videos!
I’m still running with a stock TQi transmitter. This motor and esc work great with it. It’s the same little bec plug for the Trx4 receiver. However I do not get that slow speed crawl like in this video. I did swap to straight axles too though and that made the gearing taller.
I just bought one of these about a week ago. I always thought the 2n1's were a gimick and never used one. I tried an older fusion system that my dad had and was sold. This Fusion Pro is amazing. For $150 how can you beat it? The control, smoothness, power, simplicity, etc. are just amazing.
Great review as always👍, bought one of these for my first crawler(10.3) based off your review a while back, performs flawlessly! First 2-1 system for me super smooth even with the stock 14t still. Removed interior, shock oil swap, boom racing wheels, and just grabbed hyrax’s off your recommendation along with some brass down low rig is 10x more capable 🤘 I think all that’s left for me is some big bores I think the stocks are already leaking haven’t had the rig more than 2 months 😕. Keep the solid content coming it’s much appreciated!!🫡🤝
This seems like an awesome esc/motor 2-in-1 system. I see one problem though, now you have to decide what accessories are going to take over the spot where the traxxas esc went!😂😂😂
I wanted one in my Capra but it doesn't fit with the stock skid... so I put in an AXE. It was fine, but I couldn't fit the interior in it. So when I put an aftermarket skid in it, the Fusion Pro fit, so I went with it. I also run the Vanquish 3-gear trans with it, and now everything fits. This motor is unreal at how well it crawls.
That was the older Fusion (550 can). This Pro is a 540 can. And, if you really prefer a better skid plate or 550 can motor, Vader Skid plate is the way tp go.
I absolutely love my 1800kv fusion i just installed the tekin rx4 roc412 1800kv system and i am picking up the fusion pro for my 4ws wdw capra build with all vanquish everything including the vanquish transmission with vader products skid and f9 vanquish portal axles f/r
Francis, absolutely 💯 appreciate your thorough reviews. This is another awesome 👌 one!! Love your enthusiasm and personal inputs. Used your link to grab this gem 💎 and picked up a new servo and BEC..
I have the fusion pro in my wraith 1.9 with all stock gearing (except overdrive front) and the drag brake is so good that when i let a buddy rip it around my yard on 11.4v, he went from full throttle to full stop instantly and it did a full 360° front flip landing on all4. He freaked out and ran over to it (meanwhile I'm laughing my ass off at a great stunt), because he thought he ate a stump. He checked it for damage and upon finding none he was like "what the hell happened?", I struggled through the giggles and eventually get out "dude, that was the drag brake", his eyes got as big as dinner plates, then i had him run it on my crawler course. Long story short, lifelong dirt racer is now looking into crawlers to clone his tacoma, and guess what motor he wants...
The fusion pro is probably my favorite crawling setup, I’ve got one in my basecamp comp wagon and want one for my deadbolt but I’m waiting on a higher kv version to come out….
would you be able to connect two of these up to a spectrum rugged with a SR515 P-SPM5200 receiver to run a moa crawler? was wondering as my finger hovered over the 'order now' button ....... couldn't think of anyone else to ask so hoping you might be able to help?

I have two Fusion pros one 1800 and the 2300 the 1800 is in my scx 10.2 chassis with 10.3 axles with a Vaterra body. And my 2300 is in my Phoenix portal.
This video was very helpful for me because I own a traxxas trx4 and I currently have a traxxas velineon 3500 motor in it and for top speed it’s great saying I’ve hit 40 miles per hour in it but the problem is crawling was impossible it goes from 0 to three miles per hour in a second so it’s impossible to crawl it I’m on and off the throttle and it cogs quite a bit since it’s not sensored and the Hobbywing fusion seems to be the best motor for it as slow speed crawling is great even though I can probably only go around 30 miles per hour that is fast enough for me
I got the Pro in my C1 project, mainly due to the length, it being a touch shorter than 1800kv Fusion, but its also silly smooth and great for it. Main reason i got fusion for my C1 rig was no ESC and thicc cables. Now i have 1800 on my C2, TRX Sport, has ridiculous torque and precision, but lacks in punch and top speed, so might get a Pro in it too.

I have that new Hobbywings that you showed, the old version, aHolmes Hobby Crawlmaster Expert 540 16T, and with 1080 esc & last a Holmes Hobby Puller Pro V2 2700kv stubby with Mamba X. The vehicles I’m looking to place them in are 1. TRX Sport truck that will eventually be a full custom rig with carbon LCG rails 2. SCX10 3 Jeep JLU 3. New Capra 4 wheel steer and Honcho 1:10 scale already upgraded to metal links & new servo. Where would you put them?
I was debating whether to go brushless or not, I'm leaning heavy towards brushless now. That control was UNBELIEVABLE! I wonder though about one thing: is adding a second speed to my transmission okay with the use of Traxx?
great video and review as usual Francis, thank you. im about to pull the trigger on one of these but wanted to know about overheating. do you need a fan for it since enclosed in a sealed case?
No need for fan or heatsink. It's just a runner. It also has temperature shutoff that's configurable if you overheat it. But I've never seen it kick in.
Fortunately Hobbywing old motors were good too, not at this level, but good so it's not urgent to change them but this is fantastic. What next? Ciao from Italy.
Hey buddy. I noticed you put the element RC knight runner body on the 12.8 wheelbase bronco trx4. Do you think that the knight runner's body will fit on the new K10 highlift? With some modifications of course. Do you think you can give it a try with the clipless body? I would hate to destroy the Cheyenne's body as it's expensive. I'm sure many people would be grateful including myself if you can do a video on changing the k10 body to the knight runner. Or at least an answer if it will fit or not? Thanks in advance. I learn so much from your videos. You're my favorite RC channel!
I just got in an order from Amazon. I bought a no name Brushless 3650 Motor 4 Poles 2300KV. It has a heat sink with a fan, Brushless ESC V2.3 45A, and a program card for roughly $14. I plan to put it in an SG Racing Gemini SLX. I have no idea which pinion to use but the gear is 48 tooth, if I recall. I still need a steering servo (recomendations? please) and a radio (I will buy a Dumbo RC). Am I throwing money into a pit or will this work? (It does not need to be fast)
So pare should I get this right away for my TRX-4 Defender? I've been hesitating to get the original Fusion 1200kv or 1800kv but this Fusion pro 2300kv seems better.
So, a question. I am adding the hard Cherokee body to my 9+lb 10-3, which currently has the 1800kv Fusion (12t pinion). But, I have 2 of the Pros now, and this vehicle won't be running as technical a line as it has in the past. Which motor do you think would run the heavy rig more efficiently? Will it matter? I hadn't planned on changing it, but igured Id ask.
Hey I recently found your channel and love the content. I previously had the original scx10 honcho which I bought in 2011, unfortunately that got stolen and that kinda bummed me out and I lost interest. Seeing your channel has got me interested again. Do you know if axial is bringing out the SCX10 iii raw builders kit soon?
I always thought, that combining an ESC and a motor in one case, is bad, if one of the components break. But the upside seem to be, that they of course could optimize the ESC completely to this single motor (and the other way around).

The thing is… it doesn’t break. And it’s much cheaper than separate systems. So it’s a great option
So this vs the crawl master motor and hobby wing esc we always preach?
How fast does a trx4 with stock piñon in 3s go with this?
Thx!!
How is this better other than speed over a 1080 and a 55-80T brushed motor?
Could you put one of these in a Tamiya TT-02 chassis? Would it fit I wonder? You’d save the space from traditional ESC.
I have one of those in my cross tc6 and it rips
Would it be a direct bolt in on an FMS 1/6 Jimny?
Can I run this on my trx4/6 and keep stock gearing?
