Yo just want to let people know that Los told me he wanted us to include 5 songs featuring each artist. When we started, I thought we were going all 30 tracks, not first to 16. That’s why there are some weird choices in there. I wouldn’t have included Smuckers or That Part or American Boy or Run This Town. I was just trying to get them out of the way early so I could focus on the bombs.

Heres my take on this. Kanye is honestly a goat. The way that he created different styles and constantly evolved. The way that he presented himself during different albums, and the feelings he felt during those times in such an artistic way, is unmatched. 808s and heartbreaks created a whole new genre of rap, it inspired Travis, Uzi, and soo many more. From Yeezys to running for president, to kimye, to scrapping beautiful albums, to literally living in the mercedes benz stadium. The man is iconic. Only Kanye can pull these kinds of things.
Now growing up in canada, drake had a crazy big influence on rap. He is a legend in his own right. But unfortunately hes no kanye. Hes a certified hit maker, and I listened to his songs for a big part of my life. I could remember moments in my life from his and kanye’s album. Like soundtracks of different times in my life. I grew up listening to both. I started listening to Kanye in 2007, and I remember briefly listening to drake starting from 2009. I remember comeback szn, room for improvement and all those early drake songs from those days. Ive seen his style change over the years. I feel like when drake released views, he stopped trying. The hunger was gone. He wanted hits. He found the perfect recipe for catchy mainstream rap songs. Its crazy how hes able to consistently do this and lift so many careers. The list is huge of all the rappers drake has helped by being a feature on their song, or featuring them on his songs. Nothing was the same is one of my favourite albums till this day, and it aged so well. But I think when its all said and done, they are both musical geniuses. But in my personal opinion, being one of the biggest drake stans throughout my life teens, I have started to realize just how much better kanye is as an artist.
