That's not how it works
You can clearly see where Los's music taste lies. He likes anything that is poppy or catchy and literally doesn't listen to the criticism Fantano dishes out. When Fantano says the Lauren Hill cut stands out and doesn't fit in, he starts exclaiming it's a good song. He never said it isn't good, he said it doesn't fit the tone. I think I've genuinely lost brain cells watching this guy, never again.

I mean you could make an argument that the blank album art symbolizes the emptiness felt from losing a loved one.
I don’t think it’s super creative or anything but I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the reasoning.
Also the colour of mourning and possibly a representation of most of the artists skin colour that are featured on the album. It's definitely purposeful.
