Wow...my favorite band from highschool mixed with the genre (bluegrass) that i play now. This is like when i found out the mountain goats did a song with aesop rock.
Saw them yesterday in Milan, they were great! It just hit me this cover, that noone there seems to understand what it was. Great band and wonderful people :)
I first heard of them on the NOFX website, when i heard that they were coming to my hometown (Houston Texas). Saw them and FELL IN LOVE. Punk Bluegrass???? I could have swore they were from somewhere in the south. They were so good, that i saw line dancing and high kicks at a punk rock concert. This band is awesome!!!!
LOVE this version of my favourite song of all time. saw them play it friday night in toronto and freaked out when they announced it. then saw them again at the bovine later and was that annoying drunk guy begging them to play it again. ahhhh, love this band!
"For Better or Worse" is the name of the first song from the "Guts N' Teeth" album. "The Science of Myth" was released as the second song on the released single. Picked it up on Google Play.
Saw these guys for the first time last night as a supporting band to Dropkick Murphys. Absolutely loved them. One of the best bands that I never heard of before hearing them live. I know that this is a cover of SW, but is this song on any cd that has come out? I'd really love to have it in my collection.
It was a hell of a show. Murphys did good, but their set wasn't as strong as the other times I saw them. This, however, was the big surprise of the night. The moment they started playing they became one of my favorites. Pretty sure this is on For Better or Worse.
@hooyah271 Dog they(NOFX) were covered in beer by the end of the show. This cover was the highlight of that show aside from seeing NOFX. Latch Key Kids were a punchline.
People are just too quick to jump on the trigger when they forget that music has helped them in their worst times, for me especially ben weasels ability to write fantastic lyrics. He's helped me out so many times when i was down and out so I don't judge him for one mistake he made. We all deserve forgiveness for bullshit we've pulled and people are just fucked up hypocrites because we've all fucked up. Fuck them for forgetting that we're all human.
+jesuzombieapocalypse It's a cover of a screeching weasel song. Check them out, if your like me and a punk rock fan you will probably like the original better. Awesome cover though.
Not a country fan, in fact I think country music is weird as hell (but that's just my opinion ;P), but these guys are fucking bad ass for this cover. Rock on bros \m/
+Rail Martinez Modern day 'alt-folk' is actually pretty cool and about darker stuff, not just pickup trucks and dogs. Checkout Yesterday's Ring, Lucero, Drag The River, Two Cow Garage, and Austin Lucas.

This band is not worthy of covering this song. It sounds good, but if you listen to them enough, you will realize that the meaning of this song went right over their heads as they sing other songs about how horrible religion is. It's fine if you're anti-religion, you have a right to your opinion, but to pay homage to this song that recognizes the value of religion even if you don't agree with it and then to shit on religion in another song shows that they are hypocrites pandering to whatever they think will make them more popular.
This cover...just gave me chills... a beautiful re-imagining of a great song.

This song reminds me of R.E.M.
This is a brilliant cover!
Beautiful lyric, sw masterpiece
Read Karen Armstrong's Short History of Myth, this song spells this topic out well nice.

@reneeayala hell yeah it is
Not a bad cover weird seeing the difference to comments on this vid compared with blink 182's cover of girl next door
One of the best songs ever written. And most of the world will never hear it. (SW version is obviously best tho)
@jaj6503 I feel like a dumbass right now--i never knew this was a cover---badass song no matter what
Greetings From The Outer Space In Between My Ears...

weird. hahaha. wonder what Ben thinks about this...
He loves it.
Is it really weird to anyone else to hear a country song talking about religion like this?
