Beautiful, peaceful room! I also went from warm walls to cooler walls. We have a vaulted ceiling. That's a lot of going up and down the ladder. I love our room now, and it is so calming. We just hired the painting of our bathroom, closet, and toilet room, including baseboards, trim, and ceilings. Oh my gosh, it's wonderful! I am purging like crazy. No more saving clothing in different sizes. Even my daughters' dance costumes and mom's vintage dresses went off today. I bought shoe boxes and got rid of old, broken shoe racks. I even managed to organize my husband's stuff and he purged too. We are in our early 60s and it's time to bring the house a little more into the current state. I'm grateful to still love our home of 25 years!

Shanna, Your updated room is gorgeous!!! I am so glad to hear you say your meeting was over when you heard the word, Thermofoil! I planned to move a dresser into my walk-in closet under a mirror I had hanging on the wall. My husband said he wasn’t sure it would fit. While he was gone I moved it in myself. I use a chrome S shaped hand towel holder to hang all my bracelets on. That and my earring holder sit on the dresser top. It looks so nice displaying some of my jewelry. The drawers were a perfect location for my seaters. I know you will love that dresser in your closet!

I couldn’t agree more. It dated her room and made it look like something from the late 80’s. Removing the old mirror and going with modern accent pieces brought this room into 2025. I am so glad the cigarette yellow is gone! I would like to see her add a 2nd panel of curtains to each window by the headboard to give the illusion of a larger window. Shawn did an amazing job transforming their bedroom and I hope she knows what a skilled person she is. The laundry area is chefs kiss and looks amazing! Yes to the refresh it was worth it!!🥰

Hey sis! WOW! You did an AMAZING TRANSFORMATION! I have used the paint trimmer several times, it is a great handy tool! Omg, you did some painting and it turned out gorgeous, Love the color. The hardwood floors looks really good with the new paint color! The dresser decor is NICE, love the marble dish and the unique mirrors! The texture and color of the drapes were a great choice, love them!!!! The sitting room is so inviting, I think I want those chairs!!! The cubby space or the trouble area as you call it, is a completely different space, I’m sure now you’ll get good use of it!!! You and I spoke about having a safe box for those important documents to make it easy for your family when needed, I don’t have a box like that though but I’m going to order that one. Thank you Lavette It took me a several days I was in no rush because it was important that the finish looks like I paid a professional painter to do the job. I climbed up and down the ladder (feels like a hundred times) but it was all worth it at the end. There are times I find myself laying in my bed looking up to the ceiling and the ways and I say to myself " Shanna you did that" not bragging however, I am very proud of myself" and the results. I planned to move a dresser into my walk-in closet under a mirror I had hanging on the wall. My husband said he wasn’t sure it would fit. While he was gone I moved it in myself.
I use a chrome S shaped hand towel holder to hang all my bracelets on. That and my earring holder sit on the dresser top. It looks so nice displaying some of my jewelry. The drawers were a perfect location for my seaters.
I know you will love that dresser in your closet!

I couldn’t agree more. It dated her room and made it look like something from the late 80’s. Removing the old mirror and going with modern accent pieces brought this room into 2025. I am so glad the cigarette yellow is gone! I would like to see her add a 2nd panel of curtains to each window by the headboard to give the illusion of a larger window. Shawn did an amazing job transforming their bedroom and I hope she knows what a skilled person she is. The laundry area is chefs kiss and looks amazing! Yes to the refresh it was worth it!!🥰

It all turned out so good! I love those accent chairs and the textured drapes. I had no idea what you meant by thermafoil when you were talking about the cabinets then my jaw dropped when I saw you heating them up and removiing the "skin". I've never heard of such a thing!

Hey sis! WOW! You did an AMAZING TRANSFORMATION! I have used the paint trimmer several times, it is a great handy tool! Omg, you did some painting and it turned out gorgeous, Love the color. The hardwood floors looks really good with the new paint color! The dresser decor is NICE, love the marble dish and the unique mirrors! The texture and color of the drapes were a great choice, love them!!!! The sitting room is so inviting, I think I want those chairs!!! The cubby space or the trouble area as you call it, is a completely different space, I’m sure now you’ll get good use of it!!! The way you styled your bed is lovely, lovely, lovely, I love the mix of texture and color. You and I spoke about having a safe box for those important documents to make it easy for your family when needed, I don’t have a box like that though but I’m going to order that one. Thank you Lavette It took me a several days I was in no rush because it was important that the finish looks like I paid a professional painter to do the job. I climbed up and down the ladder (feels like a hundred times) but it was all worth it at the end. There are times I find myself laying in my bed looking up to the ceiling and the ways and I say to myself " Shanna you did that" not bragging however, I am very proud of myself" and the results.
