- Cockpit View: SINGAPORE - Stunning View Approach
(Landing at 3:45)
Extremely cool pilot perspective of the flight.
Seaside approach and landing at Singapore Changi International Airport (WSSS).
Fantastic HD wideview.
I am very thankful to Josh Kramer, an outstanding artist and composer, who personally and generously approved his music for this video. Please visit his page: / joshkramermusic . Thanks, Josh!
Contains some landscape description, to help understanding aircraft position and flightpath in relation to the metropole and the airport.
Part of a continued series about takeoff, approach and landing at different famous world airports and cities across the globe, just in the perspective of the captain.
I really hope you enjoy as much as I did while aloft.

Here is my channel description, if you haven't read it already:
This are my cockpit videos of international flights, shot while at work.
Aviation and the open sky have fascinated me all my life.
Some day my passion was strong enough and it turned into a profession.
I love the emotional side of flight - Men naturally don't fly. I think it's one of the big privileges of our generation to soar and fly by help of machines.
I believe, this enchanting land high in the sky can be a home for those who accept it's rules. And those are very simple.
If I managed to infect you a bit with this love, I just reached my goal.
Thanks for watching, I really hope you enjoyed. If you liked it, please share the video and hit the like-thumb !

when i was a child in the 60s i wanted to be a pilot. because i lived under the approach n landing path of Singapore's old airport at paya lebar. my home was built on what was our first airport at kallang. kallang airport. the airport buildings have been preserved.
anyway as i child i would see all the planes coming in n going out. it amazed me. i so much wanted to be a pilot. unfortunately at age 12 i was prescto spectacles. so that was the end of my ambition. till today i still wish i could have the best office ever. the cockpit. zenthung Thank you!
Subbed! Loving those cockpit videos. Welcome to my hometown, Singapore! Just curious, were you flying a Gulfstream or Bombardier?
Thanks! Always love to be in your city. Actually it's (together with HKG) my favourite location in Asia. It is Bombardier :)
I love HK too! I'm glad that you like my city =) I hope I can be sitting in the right seat someday!
***** I am convinced: Nothing can stop you, if you really want it badly enough :) All the best to you !

My beautiful singapuraa!!
Super music
Thanks for all comments and tips, guys!
Hey, nice setdown, like how you held it off on such a long runway. Will this CRJ outfit hire low time U.S. with commercial and flight instructor certs? Thanks,Brady
What airline do you work for? Great video.
amazing
I was really amazed by how you guys calculate the distance from above going through the runway. Is there ever a time that you get lost? How do you know that you're already near the airport? most specially at night
PFD and FMC
Ronald Orda Nav displays and there are instruments to show speed and altitude
What aircraft are you using in this video?
hi, i wanted to be a airline pilot when i was young. what can i do to become a airline pilot. What is the cost of the flight school. Thank you in advance. Hope to get the answer soon
Hi! Just contact Airlines in your area and check their requirements for ab initio pilots and their Training programs. Those vary quite a lot all over the world, as the costs do. Sorry, there is no general answer to your question, cause it depend always on your personal circumstances and geographical Location. In Europe the costs are generally (roughly) around 80.000 euros for a complete traing from Zero. and it usually takes you two years for the Training, for a self sponsored Training without any supporting Airline in the background. Cheers!
Hi! Thank you for the information. I am 14 years old. Still got a long way to go
i love to watch you videos.....Keep it up
Make video for KLIA please :)
+Izam Fadhli Coming soon!
yeah ! Thank you sir :)
Do the thrust levers on Bombardier aircraft in a similar way as the ones on Airbus aircraft? With detents? Do you usually approach with A/THR on and pull the levers to idle at 20-30 ft RA?
Hi!
It depends on the CRJ aircraft model: The CRJ 200 doesn't have any detents/notches. You just have to fly very "oldschool" using your experience and the pitch&power-method. The CRJ's 700 & 900 & 1000 models do have detents for T/O , G/A and Climb (due to FADEC). But all have one in common: No A/THR on most planes (only very few operators choosed this option), means you have to adjust them manually at all times. So they are indeed different than those from Airbus and Boeing. It sounds complicated, but I personally like this philosophy. It is a pilot's plane and wants to be flown right, agile and with good understandig of the situation. Generally you can say, the difference is a bit like a sportscar compared with a truck. And you are right: you pull the levers back usually at around 50' RA, but it depends also on wind and weight. On the CRJ 900' it is around 30' RA. Hope this answers your questions. Cheers!
Starflight2006 Thanks for your explanation. I guess it is the same also on the executive versions (Challenger and GLEX)?
Basically yes, but most GLEX and Challenger models do have A/THR :)
Hi,
On the A320,A330.A340,A350,A380
The A/Thr has a CLB MCT/FLX TO/GA & a Idle Rev Detent.
The philosophy is you Takeoff selecting FLX or TO/GA then at climb thrust you select it back to CLB detent all the way till touch down or around 30-20 RA.
At any time you can just disconnect the system and fly it manually BUT, incase you had the trust lever at idle during flight and the A/C is approaching to stall the Trust will go all the way to TO/GA with the lever still in the idle detent, thats how safe Airbus planes are.
Is this a real landing! The plane didn't shake at all on touchdown?
Magic Hands :) - no, sometimes it is just good daily form of the pilot and nice weather with Zero wind or so making it Kind of smooth. thanks :)
+Cockpit View heh?
Is it easy to fly a plane? I wanna become a pilot my dream since childhood but learning how to fly cost a lot... :(
Hi! flying is great fun, but when it Comes to a professional environment then it depends on a lot of factors: weather, time schedule, traffic Situation, your personal skill Level, experience, fatigue, stress, and a lot more things. And yes, it is a costly high risk Investment today if you see the bad Job opportunity Situation. Somewhere here in the comments to one of my Videos I replied to a similar question very exhaustive. please look for it. Good luck to you - Go for it if you hear the call! Cheers.
whats the Name of the Pilot and what Airline?
where did you learn to fly?
777DEHME Hi! In Germany. Cheers!
Cockpit View nice good luck bro
Im 19 years old, and i really want to become a comercial pilot, but sometimes when i been inside of an airplane i feel scared, when you were young you feel at the same way than me ??
Hi! I personally never felt scared, but I understand the phenomenon you mean. It is very different what you feel when you are yourself at the controls compared to being a passenger in the cabin. I would suggest: Try flying with a flight instructor on a small private plane first and check what you feel while steering the plane under his supervision. Cheers!
+Cockpit View Hello Im 16 years old living in sydney Australia, Becoming a pilot here seems 2 be either cadet ship with an airline or army and then get commercial airline pilots licence.
I wanna become a pilot...I think, What did you do?
A350?
Did anyone else see the dmoke in the cab? Or was i just imagining it?
Hi! You are very attentive :) Luckily it's not smoke - It is water condensation/vapour from the air condition system's automatic switching to kind of a different mode after landing. When landing on an airport with a very warm and humid outside air situation (as experienced in South East Asia very often) this effect appears. It vanishes always after a few seconds and is a sign of normal system function. - Cheers!
Cockpit View ha no problem i just saw it and thought " im not a pilot yet, but that isnt right" 😂
No, you are absolutely correct to ask about it. Any new pilot would do it.
