I have been eying the TherapSID for a long time. I had never heard about the Glitchstorm or ByteBeat synthesis (or recursive ByteBeat synthesis). It looks interesting. I am a mathematical person; it is something to explore.
I love my GlitchStorm! I built a mildly modified version from Spherical Sound Society's open source design a few revisions back. Clocking Eurorack and other outboard gear from it- filters or delays, say - can really make some enjoyable noise. One interesting use i discovered was running it into a sample&hold to create a pitch CV sequence that's random but repeating; it comes off much like a Turing Machine.
Hi A few weeks ago i found what it is a Daisy seed. Looks like there are a biger format and a smaller One. Are you playing on doing a video about that. I' m curious if ir os as good as the zynthian or if it is somethig completely diferent. Keep going with your awesome job
Hi, thanks for watching - I already have a Daisy Seed here and I'm working an a video, but that is one of those videos that are _really_ labor intensive. It will propably be finished by September. Daisy Seed is a microcontroller, it's not comparable to Zynthian, which is more of a DAW-in-a-box.
Hi, here's the one I use: amzn.to/46PeGsG It's a bit simplistic, but it was good enough to see what's happening in FM, and to find and fix a fault in an Alesis Micron. The Korg NTS-2 is worth considering as well, but it's a lot more expensive.
That's just something I came up with on the spot. If you like these kind of "2001/Blade Runner" style of tunes, check the Bladerunner soundtrack by Vangelis - and if you like _my_ style in particular, here's a similar track: floydsteinberg.bandcamp.com/track/science-fiction-triple-feature
The nice c64 sid chip i wish ensoniq sampled some waves for the esq-1 and 80. Very cool sounds you made floyd very glitchy.
Hi, thank you very much!
Sounds cool! That Ono-Sendai looks alot like what I did for my next gen BP Synth.
Awesome, Floyd, looking forward to this one. The sound of these chips is burned into memory
Yes, so many great tunes came out of SID chips ;-)

Thanks for watching! There are websites that let you explore this, e.g. dollchan.net/bytebeat
Fantastic demo, glad that you did it :D
Thanks for watching!
Has one die while and love it !id like to print a case some day for it .great glitchy soundscapes it can make
Thanks for watching! It's a fun device, quite inspiring if you're willing to wade through the noise ;)
Wow! Awesome potential there!!!
Yes indeed!

Thanks for sharing - yes, that sounds like great idea.
THERAPSID is AMAZING, much easier to use then Mssiah too 😂
It is! I hope that came across in my video...

Off topic Floyd, but which oscilloscope would be good to analyze waveforms from a synth. DX Reface, if that matters.

@@mr_floydst excellent! Thank you Floyd!
Is the sound of 4:20 part of some song or set that I can get somewhere? Or something similar?
