How times have changed. When i saw cof perform this back in the 90s we were going apeshit. Crowds are so static and boring now. Careful you dont nod your head to hard. Sad.
I saw them last year in Austin. It was one of the most intense shows I've ever attended. I was in the front and getting crushed against the stage, and I'm a big dude. Don't get me wrong, I agree with you about the crowds nowadays, but I was surprised that night.
I was in the audience in the back at this show. I could not move, the girl in front of us had her hair in my mouth most of the times. raised my hand, knocked someone in the head. it was a small space, but we appreciated a lot that they've came on a such a small stage!
I was in that crowd dude, in my case, i didnt know much of their songs, so i just kind of got mesmerized by the sound and the atmosphere. And as you can see in the video there was a moshpit going there, i went in the moshpit there and got punched right in the face by some drunk dude while some other guys were smacking their shit and handbanging. So i would say the crowd wasnt boring at all man, everything was super fun.
My thoughts exactly... Saw them here in Portugal back in 95/96 and I still remember feet flying, crowd surfing, proper moshpits and my hair getting entangled in all sorts of places and people with headbanging... Thankfully I've grown in a time without smartphones...
The previous formation was much better! With Richard Shaw on lead guitar and Anabelle Iratni on keys/ vocals. This line up is ok, but the previous formation was best Cradle of Filth ever!
