at 5.28 you can do it faster crtl D rotate x12 with : path effect , generate ,turn copy, apply 12 copies , node tools and recenter the center of the path ;) .saw this tips before your video. thx u for the video

If you asking about canvas background, I created it using gimp... (HSV Noise filter). It's just an image.

Good video, learned a lot how to draw mandals, and also how complicated and sometimes stupid the path system is (Illustrators is even worth)
