- During a media briefing Tuesday (11/22), Arizona's Family Political Editor Dennis Welch asked AZ Attorney General Mark Brnovich what the AG's COVID-19 vaccination status was. Here's his unedited response.

The look means “What the f--k are you thinking?” The question from the AG is inapplicable - because you don’t spread STD’s to everyone around you by simply being in the room. Covid DOES spread that way.
However, if you are risk for transmission of STDs from somebody - meaning your about to have sex with them, you ABSOLUTELY have a right to ask about their STD status.
The takeaway is, if you’re susceptible to transmission of a harmful or potentially fatal pathogen, you have a right to ask about the status of people who can spread it to you.

Disagree Ty … the man is the attorney general and the question is a valid legal one, which means it’s OK to ask the attorney general. The valid legal question is this: does the need for privacy of individual outweigh the need for safety as a whole. If I have an STD and I don’t disclose it before inter course, if u were the partner u wouldn’t like it, and I could be legally guilty of assault in most states.

There WAS an STD emergency in the 1980s.
We didn't require an HIV negative test to go to a clubs, or go to work, or go to a concert.
It was considered illegal to ask if your waiter or dentist were HTLV-3 positive.
It was considered to be discrimination against those who were HIV positive to even ask about a person's personal health status.
At that time the disease was 100% fatal.
Damn that's crazy to think about HIV had a 100% death rate and you couldn't ask questions or mandate tests/masks so people could WORK to survive or go SHOPPING FOR FOOD.
Yet c-19 which has a 00.03% Death rate or 99.97% survival rate you must wear a mask to go get food, can't go to church or go watch loved ones be buried, can't work a job unless you test, mask and/or get a jab. It's so crazy to think about.

For those of you with a critical thinking level of the 6th grade the answer was not about the transmission rate, the death rate, or moral revelation, but about medical privacy and limits of Federal and State power. Back then we didn't fully understand how HIV could be transmitted, like we do now, and it was 100% fatal. To be fair - HIPAA laws (the privacy part) got nothing to do with this. HIPAA is to prevent health institutions, doctors, nurses, dentists etc. and your health insurer sharing your health data with somebody else without your knowledge and approval.
A shop clerk asking you about your vax status is not a violation of HIPAA (as you then and there can "approve" to share that information) - however he should not ask you about this. If he is not happy about you being there he should show you where the door is.

If I recall correctly, STDs status in the 70s and 80s wasn't kept private regarding HIV and AIDS. If you were gay it was (and still is) automatically assumed that you had HIV or AIDS. You weren't allowed to donate blood and other discriminatory policies were (and still are in many places) in place.

And Fauci could have made the recommendation to shut down the gay bath houses in CA, but chose not to. HIV/AIDS disproportionately affects gay men and IV drug users.
