As a 9, my basset hound is the absolute perfect dog. She literally just lays around, and if I look at her she will acknowledge me by one single flop of her tail. She’s the laziest dog ever and she’s absolutely perfect.
"Tranquility barks when someone comes to the door giving me time to hide." My neighbor's dog always does this, and I fully appreciate it!

Lol. I’m a 9w1 and work with rescues. Our most recent bunch of puppies i picked up the calmest of the pups and named her Serenity. You ladies are sometimes just too real!
I'm a 4 but visit our local alpaca farm far more often than the shelter. Sorry...they just seem more poetic and magical! ( especially when a small bird alights upon their back!)☺
I’ve never been attracted to pugs, but as a 5, I now see their possibilities 🤔 And Leann’s 5 baby-talking to Watson has made my day!
When you’re a 4 and start out cringing, then realize you cried when you saw your dog in the shelter and knew right away she was yours. General is also totally something I would name my dog. Childhood dog was Ranger and current dog is Scout. I have a pattern. 😂

That is tooo accurate on the 1. Exactly how I feel about dogs. Other people can own them, and I’ll say hi and maybe pet them, but I’ll pass on owning one for all reasons presented by the 1 - including the fact that most dogs are not trained well and jump all over you. 🤪
5 here and I would TOTALLY name my dog after a book character (wing 4, so the more obscure the better, lol).
I have also done extensive research on ALL the dog breeds, so I could recite their histories by memory and tell you exactly which breed (or combination thereof) would work for you and your situation.
(Only thing better than being alone is being alone with a dog is SO relatable, hahaha!!!)
Everything here also applies to horses. Probably even more so.

I’m a dog-lover 3 but I only get rescues. Rescues are way better to talk about on social media. 🤷🏻♀️ Kind of feeling exposed. 😂

I'm a 5, and although I'm a cat person, I feel called out 😂 The way I researched breeds to choose the one I wanted, and me naming 4 out of my 5 cats (my older cat's litter) after Valar, which kind of makes me Eru Iluvatar... 😂😂
I’m a 1 and I’m laughing so hard, we’re watching dogs this weekend and I told my husband for all those reasons “ugh we are NEVER getting a dog” but I know I’ll end up doing it because he wants one 😂
The comment the 9 made about the dog barking when people are there...I am a 6 and that's one of the main reasons I love having dogs! It helps me sleep at night knowing the dogs will hear and bark if anyone is sneaking around outside. You are right about reducing ambiguity for the 6 and picking the same breed would help. I would never clone a dog though!!! I did a lot of research about my specific dogs before adopting them though to make sure they would be good fits.

As a 5w4, the compromise is a cat. Own mind, instant "you are my person", and that name, Watson, is so nerd/5.
I'm a five and I've never had a dog, but if I did, it would be a pug. Also, I loved that the soft side of the five and the emotional side of the seven came out in this one!
I swear y'all have been watching me! I'm a 9, with a yellow labrador retriever, named Buddha. Our favourite things to do are nap, eat and only interact with kind people where they won't be any conflict. This whole episode was hilarious! I've watched 4 (with General) so many times over because I can't stop laughing. Thank you so much. Off to teach my dog to 'mediate'.

As a 4 do I often gaze into my dogs eyes and interpret his maintained eye contact as a sign of our special connection? Maybe. As a 5 wing did I spend like 6 months researching different breeds to find one I thought would best suit my lifestyle and temperament? Possibly.

My husband is a 5, and I made him watch your portrayal of a 5, and he and I both laughed because it was so dead accurate!!! He totally baby-talks to our dog, and definitely agrees that the only thing better than being alone is being alone with a dog (although he's usually alone with our cat to be totally honest 🤣) Our cat likes sleeping in front of the window in my husband's man cave/office 🤣 We always joke that our cat is a 5. You should do a video on enneagram numbers with cats!

I'm 6 w 5 . It's accurate , lost a couple dogs I got from the same litter a couple years back. If I had the money I would've cloned or taxidermy. I really loved them . I know people disagree with that and would say get rescues in which eventually I will look for the same type or temperament. But they'd have to understand those dogs were that special to me .
My brother is a 5 and just got a pug and wanted to name him Watson from Sherlock Holmes 😂😂😂

We had the most precious, tiny shitzu for 16 years. As she got older and we could tell she was near the end, my 6 husband would always say that he doesn’t want to replace her because we might end up with a “dud!” He would have cloned her if it was free or cheap (because he is always in fear of near financial ruin-even though we are doing great).

I agree! But just so you know, chances are if you Think you are a 9w5 (since that is not possible) you might just be a 9w1. You should research the differences between 9w1 and 9w8 and their stress and growth numbers. I’m a 4w5 but I thought I was a 4w3 when actually 4’s growth number is 1 and 1’s and 3’s are similar.

Loved seeing a little more personality in the 5. Not just a robot all the time. Or at least be a really advanced robot who simulates human emotions pretty well sometimes. "The only thing better than being alone is being alone with a dog." - Nailed it.

So, I'm a 9. I love animals...period. I don't currently have a dog, but my favorite breed is the Golden Retriever for their incredibly easy-going, friendly nature. I took an animal personality class/quiz once and came out as a Golden Retriever. LOL. I would also totally have a pet named after a literary or TV character (my cat is), but that's because I'm a huge geek!
I’m a 4 and I found my dog as a puppy wandering in the bushes, so I took him home because I didn’t want him to be attacked by the stray cats in the neighborhood. He’s a Schnoodle and I named him Lord Manford von Schnoodlestein, but we call him Manny for short. My mom, a 1, was adamant that we wouldn’t be keeping him because she didn’t like dogs, but my dad and I overruled her and she loves that he doesn’t shed a lot anyway. She likes him now. My dad is an 8 and even though Manny’s not tough, he listens to dad, so dad’s nicknamed _himself_ “Master” and Manny is his loyal hound and resident good boy.

I'm a Type 3 with 2 dogs, both completely different. One is a rescue and the other I've had since he was born. I love sharing their stories on social media though!

I'm a 5 and that's totally me. Know the history of the breeds and even want to visit certain places where my kids originated from. Never baby talk any human infants but a dog yep can't help myself. And my dogs are named after fictional characters from my favorite books.
Even though I’m mildly insulted by the Type 8 one… the English Bulldog one does just so happen to be my favorite breed. 😳
