    Hey Paul, I hope you’re good! Really digging your videos and they sped up my learning process alot. Im wondering if you can ever do a video about Tekno/Rave styles from artists such as Jacidorex, Jan Vercauteren, Epidemie. It’s not really your style but there are barely any tutorials on youtube showing this type of techno. Cheers man.

      Like you said not really my style and even though I like the style, I feel I am not the best to teach it..., check Marcin Rajski & Strob Studio Mixing & Mastering maybe it will help

    AWESOME…Again again and again… thanks 🙏🏻 Paul !!!! So much useful info and “know-how” to “us” understand how to sound design, by the way my last production going stuck and with your videos i can put one synth with wavetable on “FORMANT” and AhOhOoh, reduce the WARP on MORDERN “and WORKS 👌and ☝️ important thing is with this videos “inspiration”

    Can you make a video on how to make round kicks like this one? For example, how do you remove the boxiness and the knocks from the kicks?

    • @jodiescott01
      @jodiescott01 3 роки тому +5

      Get his kicks sample packs and stop messing around wasting time. Trust me! Don't fuck about with spending time on the small things. Focus on the BIG things that push your music forward. If you're not finishing a track a week at least, you certainly shouldn't be focusing on the small stuff. Pissing around with kicks won't get you anywhere sharp and time is all we have bro. Don't waste it! All the best ;)

    • @audioreakt

      I don't have a particular video for this type of kick , to be honest all kick come from experimentation, I know I am gonna say a random answer but EQ, Distorion, Saturation,EQ again, Saturation, Overdrive... I might do another video on kick processing, starting from a 909 kick to acheive different tyoe of kick...

      @@jodiescott01 stop giving some bad advices... kickbass in techno (particularly on industrial techno) is important to get a control on your dynamic, on your low end... it's quite foundation of a track ... making music isn' t a speed competition

    • @jodiescott01
      @jodiescott01 3 роки тому +2

      @@jackSo42 I think you need to read his question properly buddy. He is asking about kick sound design NOT the kick and bass relationship. Nobody mentioned bass. You've completely misunderstood everything about his question and also my reply.
      He is asking specifically about creating a single "round" kick and also about changing the character of the kick in certain frequency ranges. The knock which comes from the attack portion and the boxiness which comes from the body and weight of the kick. These elements of a kick are quite hard to remove. You can only remove them to a certain extent without diminishing the quality, weight and power from a kick. This is something that can really tire your ears and you can also waste a lot of time if you haven't got experience with this. It's MUCH smarter find some desired kicks that are similar rather than trying to process a kick to try to make it sound like something it isn't. Hope this clears things up for you :)

      @@jodiescott01he asked you how to achieve a kick like the one in the video and you wrote a book about how it doesn't matter and how he should just hurry tf up. It is important to take time and collect some experience through experimenting. No producer started putting out a track/ week from the start.
      Your answer is in no way helpful, it even suggests that the dude is doing something wrong.
      And when somebody points this out you just add wrong context that was never there so you can correct the person 🤡

      sometimes using lower quality modes can get some cool results. try using serum on draft quality mode, it's great for a really gnarly sub using just a simple sine wave.
