I've owned both in the last year. I was always a camaro guy, have owned four from 1970 - 2021 years. But I love my challenger, just has that cool factor and gets lots of looks and thumbs up. Camaro can't be beat for cornering, the challenger is a big, comfortable luxury cruiser. Now that I own a challenger, I wouldn't get anything else.
Excellent video. The only thing I would have bought up that I think you missed: Highway cruising with buddies. If you are going on a road trip, the Challenger is the way to go. It has ample storage, a good trunk, and room for four people. That's something the Camaro and Mustang can't claim.
Dynamically, how the car drives overall - and this might be the most important quality - the Camaro is simply superior. The Challenger does have a couple of things important to buyers - the very-subjective car's old school muscle car appearance, the winning the horsepower contest Hellcat/Demon engines, and for some but not many - usable backseat and overall far better interior space. i would choose Camaro despite all the ridiculous nitpicking of the grill (pul-eeze) and gun slit windows, etc that add up to petty gripes that mean nothing. But gotta say you really can't go wrong with either and this comparison is a fun thing really. Love 'em both big time. Thanks for vid man 👍
Excellent review! BTW, since you have had a Challenger & Mustang and now a Camaro, would you mind commenting on the lifter issues associated with Camaro & Challenger......I ask, because both are great vehicles.....period! In your opinion, is this an "overblown" topic or a concern? I would like to hear your thoughts; you do your homework. Have you experienced any issues with your current Camaro or are you aware of others that have experienced problems? The Camaro 1LE is my first choice to buy when prices, hopefully, stabilize due to the current economic conditions. Thank you for your time...😉
Overblown issue in my opinion. All my cars had a tick. Now granted I didn’t own them for long but I think there are a lot of cars with miles on them that have lasted and not had issues.
Het Gonin60, how was the build quality of your Scat Pack Challenger? Did you experience rusting issues with the quarter panels or any other issues like electrical ones? Why did you get rid of your Scat Pack you seemed to enjoy it in your earlier videos? Thank you.
@@Gonin60 Thank you 🙏🏻 so much for your speedy response. I put down a grand to start my build on a Scat Pack then started seeing videos about people having rust issues and started having second thoughts 💭 This will be my last new car 🚗 purchase and wanted something that would last without issues. Thank you for your content. Best wishes.
They both are good an powerful cars . The camaro is better value i think especially when it comes to modes those gm engines really wake up. I had a buddy with challenger with a tune , heads , cam . Exhaust, intake, weight reduction. He just was never impressed with it an ending up getting a c6.
So I just bought a Charger Scatpack Widebody, It is a beast of a car, but with the cancelling of V8s, Im thinking of either a manual Challenger scat pack that for some crazy coincidence, is being shipped to my dealer, or, ordering a Heritage package ZL1. After this, Im done buying new cars.
@@Gonin60 I want to get both! lol. I love the Charger. But Im worried that with all these electric things, that these are the last new cars I will ever get.
Not a good comparison. I've had a 2013 & 2018 Camaro. I hated the downsize. In a crowded parking lot, couldn't get left leg out without smashing my door into the next car. I recently picked up a loaded SRT382 and getting out in a parking lot I can swing out both legs and not worrying about hitting the next car. Back seats are useable in challenger, by the way where is the passenger seat next to you? Most Camaros & Challengers never make it to the track. As you said the Challenger looks better too, an actual muscle car.
I have a 2019 Ss great car but the 2023 challenger sounds boss hands down and has much better low end torque. I love vettes but that challenger is what a muscle car should be and sounds. Vettes used to be much like the challenger
The only deal breaker for me for the Dodge is the cam issue at long idle periods it doesn't get enough lubrication and over time the engine will eat itself. If you do a lot of City Driving it's not a good idea.

Great points!!
A lot of people buy Camaros the Challenger motors don't last long you see a lot of in the junkyard
I don’t know if I agree with that

Completely agree and great point!
I want a dodge challenger
Nice breakdown - respect the opinions. We are huge fans of GM Performance cars so no hate from these guys!
Thanks guys!
Love the vids bro keep them coming 👍
Will do!
You would know since you've had both but I sure do love my challenger!
Thanks brother! Both awesome in their own ways.

Quality was really good actually. Some rattles but nothing other than that. I wanted something different and more nimble

Nice! Why are you looking to move on from the Charger? Is the Heritage package a real thing as I thought that was just a rumor?

@@RipRoaringGarage I hear ya! No judgement here as I change cars like my clothes.
if you want a true muscle car get the challenger scat or cat, if you want a performance/ sport , muscle car go for the camaro
Yes

It’s a great comparison
Very helpful, thanks!

What would you rather have scat pack automatic or mustang get manual?
I’ll always choose manual

Yes.....very unfortunate! Every brand has issues, tough part is researching to properly verify the rumors or not and then take your chances....
Are you referring to the hemi tick?
I have a challenger with 162k miles on it and that problem has been non existent
@@virusworld3730 yep! I think it’s an overblown issue
More of the red rotary rocket lol 👍
Coming right up!
What color is your Camaro
Satin Steel metallic
nobody buys Camaros they are lame. nuff said
Wrong
That's exactly why I want the camaro because nobody has it
