- Out of uniform and outside of city hall, on Wednesday, Stancil McNair was wearing a custom T-shirt when he met with FOX45 for a one-on-one interview. The front displayed a hand-sketched image of a solid waste worker carrying the city. On the back, was a question, “Where is our respect?”

They have money for safe streets but can’t provide DPW employees with water? SMH
He ain't lying. I work for DPW and I have a desk job. AC wasn't working in our office and it was 90 degrees in there. This has been going on for the last 3 summers. I called the Union several times. They weren't much help. Finally, it works.
I would like to say to ALL DPW workers, "Thank You". Without you helping to keep the city clean, it would be a trash dump all over the city. Continue to stand in Unity Together and demand Change. They might get one or two of You for speaking Truth to Power, but they cannot get All of You when you are working together. Enough Is Enough, make them treat All of you with Respect each one of You deserve it!
I used to work for Waste Management through a temp agency and even than the workers wasn't treated fair, especially during certain weather conditions. The city doesn't wanna pay these workers fairly, underpaying is wrong considering how much the city makes at landfills. 💯
Appalling that city workers are having to deal with this situation.

Beau of the fifth column once said "when voting is lopsided in favor of one side or another, NEITHER side benefits" people feel like nothing will change no matter what. Politicians have no incentive to cater to the voters, EVEN their own voters. Honestly when he said this it surprised me. But it is apparent that's true.

One of the challenges is that honest, smart, hard-working people are not promoted into leadership. Those leadership positions are held by dishonest, less competent people, whose biggest strength is ingratiating themselves up the political ladder. Once that person is in a position of power, they work most deliberately at holding honest, smart, hard-working people down.

Stop lies!
Initially, I was appalled. Like, these men and women are essential workers and need to be taken care of. But then, I remembered how badly teachers are treated. SMH.
This is a 2 sided issue. Yes the city & county need to take care of their workers. Also the workers need to take care of themselves. You can't be in poor health and work in the summer heat! And drinking or smoking daily only amplifies any health issues, even minor ones.
Shot Spotter is the hardest working city employee down there so idk???? You stay classy Baltimore!!
