No idea why but I laughed my ass off at the Times New Roman vocals sheet and Fisher with his glasses on nodding back and forth like a bored professor while reading it. 6:06
My huge takeaways are the ones I’ve always known but this is video evidence of. 1 Alex Webster is a bass god who is such a prolific song writer and virtuoso musician. 2 cannibal corpse has an incredibly intelligent and straightforward approach to writing music which is allowing members to write their own songs and then record a rough demo of what they want to to sound like and letting the other members learn it and then improve upon it. 3 that cannibal corpse shows that real collaboration happens when the band members put their egos aside and approach the music like a business and a job. That you can’t get overly emotional about it and have to approach it like a good working relationship. It’s been the key to their success.

He helped mould Cannibal’s sound into something melodically progressive and innovative. It first started popping up on Vile, and then Gallery and Bloodbthirst it *really* started to become prominent. Now we have a beautifully aged Cannibal Corpse who have found a pleasant middle ground between dissonant thrash/death and interesting progressive melody usage.
I've always been a fan of Cannibal, but didn't really understand how complicated and technical the music was until the advent of the internet. (Yes, I'm super old). Never been able to get close enough to the stage & when I did, it was pit time, so watching for virtuosity wasn't possible. People don't like the music, but it's as or more intense to perform than any other genre...save Chopin (piano).
That's what people never get! Death metal is so overlooked because of the initial perception. Death metal, jazz, and classical are the top of the heap in terms of musicianship IMHO.
I don't judge a piece of music's quality on how hard it is to play. To me that's angry teenage bullshit thinking, although when the song is good and the playing is proficient it is very nice.
I love how they describe scalding hail and use adjectives like fast, furious, high-speed, and brutal. That describes every song they've ever done! One of my favorite bands of a time
I don't exactly understand this kind of music, I don't exactly understand how to write this kind of music, but I am widely interested in watching this band in the studio and how they create. I love the vibe I love the intensity I don't think I could play it I don't have the chops this band is really effing cool
same way i write too! its so cool he uses the same method. i just wish the rest of my bandmates learned them-____-. i really gotta get a good drum machine and then i would be set.
lol, this reminds me of the Rockstar Mayhem tour that they did last sunday on the 12th, George Corpsegrinder told the audience, "You better buy the new album or else I'll come down there and kill you with my bare f!@#$ing hands!" even though I can barely understand a word that's being said by Cannibal Corpse, I still find the speedy heavy music very heartpounding!
Cannibal Corpse is basically Alew Webster, the day he leaves the band will be in a serious trouble. He writes everything song and lyrics, Corpsegrinder doesn't even help him he said in a album he wrote like 2 lines lol
The original Cannibal Corpse guitarists were Bob Rusay and Jack Owen. When Bob left, Rob Barrett came in. Then when Rob Barrett left Cannibal Corpse, Pat O' Brien stepped in. Lastly, when Jack Owen left the band, Ro Barrett came back into Cannibal Corpse along with Pat O' Brien.
Evisceration is the best album they've ever done. My CC-song list is: 10: Hammer Smashed Face 9. Evidence In The Furnace 8. Festering In The Crypt 7. Necrosadistic Warning 6. Scalding Hail 5. Frantic Disembowelment 4. A Cauldron Of Hate 3. Make Them Suffer 2. Evisceration Plague 1. Shatter Their Bones You see, almost all the songs is from Evisceration. It's a fucking good and brutal album.
@nightshadetheexorcis my favs from the album are: Evisceration Plague, To Decompose, Priests of Sodom, Carnivorous Swarm, Shatter Their Bones, A Cauldron of Hate and Carrion Sculpted Entity, lol its like half the album, i also have the bonus track on my cd as well since im from Portugal
No idea why but I laughed my ass off at the Times New Roman vocals sheet and Fisher with his glasses on nodding back and forth like a bored professor while reading it. 6:06
with lyrics like "ill rape your entrails and disgorge my gastric acid into your oesophagus" 😂 brilliant
lol George rules this planet.
LMAO
I wonder if alex uses guitar pro?
I bet he does
Rob Scallon you have one million subscribers and have hilarious comments on a bunch of these Cannibal Corpse videos that no one seems to notice.
Aint he the best?
Rob Scallon oh hi mark
ah!!!
Hi rob scallop
"Alex wrote that, Alex wrote that, Alex wrote that, Alex wrote that."

2:28 The only time you will EVER see Pat in a white shirt
4:03 I take it back...
4:12 Pat "I cant help that I'm a God...I just do it"

6:30 George trying to make sense
6:48 Pat is smiling......somewhere.. some place... 1000 kittens simultaneously exploded...or maybe its just because he's in a white shirt again
Alex is a Savage songwriter. One of the best in the game

Still more intense than that too
That's what people never get! Death metal is so overlooked because of the initial perception. Death metal, jazz, and classical are the top of the heap in terms of musicianship IMHO.
David Garcia dude I've seen good Chopin recitals, they're pretty fucking intense
I don't judge a piece of music's quality on how hard it is to play. To me that's angry teenage bullshit thinking, although when the song is good and the playing is proficient it is very nice.
If you see them live or watch their left hands (all guitars) you’ll get an idea how technical they are.
not many bands have the bassist being the chief songwriter these days
Iron Maiden
Near Mello alex is a really good bass player also
Iron maiden
Black sabbath
Old gorgoroth
In essence Alex did the whole album
No, he definitely did a lot of it though.
The whole discography
He is definitely the main writer for CC, lyrically and instrumentally since Chris left.
And it's one of their best
Bro fr, even drums.
I love how they describe scalding hail and use adjectives like fast, furious, high-speed, and brutal. That describes every song they've ever done! One of my favorite bands of a time
I love Alex so much.
5:56 rob's vocals are pretty good
He used to sing for his band Solstice, he's got a killer voice!
He's a super nice guy! Got to hang out with him during a MONSTROSITY show.
pat is a beast
I feel sad for pat :(
I know. He and Alex most important and talented members
@Staircase Heaven because he had a mental breakdown and his house burnt down and he had no house insurance. Everything is gone.
JerkFace FuckasaurusRex that’s sad
Rob just can't put the Les Paul's down
Les pauls are awesome
+Evil12Killer not when all you ever liked is dean
+Josh Death metal fiend He has been playing Les Pauls his whole career. Dean only the last few records
+Ed Braciszewski I know Dean is better
Josh Death metal fiend I'd take that silverburst les paul over any Dean
i love how george, while being such a brutal singer,
was sitten there reading lyrics like a scholar.
I remember getting this album when it first came out and watching the dvd that came with it religiously.
Alex webster is a genius, how he comes up with stuff like Skewered and Priests is insane
George with his reading glasses is just adorable !
I don't exactly understand this kind of music, I don't exactly understand how to write this kind of music, but I am widely interested in watching this band in the studio and how they create. I love the vibe I love the intensity I don't think I could play it I don't have the chops this band is really effing cool
You guys explain/show your songs in simple terms. But when I listen to your album. Its really fucking nuts.
Hah, that Metalmania 2002 poster. I've been there! :)
I must admit I'm not much of a death metal fan, but I could watch these guys talk and record stuff all day. They seem like like really cool guys. 😁🤘
"I was trying to keep things more simplistic" and yet it looks solid to play to me.
Pat I don't mean to be the best most badass guitar player ever I just do it
Alex reminds me of Dave Mustaine for some reason...
Chris Ramos could it be the red hair? Lol
Alex is blonde, well salt n peper now, and he is waaaaay more down to earth than a fraction of Mustaine!
Alex is so nice and chill for a dude who wrote that entire track list lol
Unsung song of every bassist ever. Often the most talented but least heard.
damn, george has the simplest job in the band, just taking care of his voice
real nice guys and the musicianship is beyond words! Love these guys
CC is my favorite band ever.
Awesome. The guys get ready for the creation of the plague. Time for Part 2. Hail Cannibal Corpse.
I’d like to see Pat write more songs, cause he’s got skills & killer style!

These guys are just the best. Down-to-earth, funny, honest, fucking talented.
Pat rocking a Black Flag 'Family Man' tee! That's what's up
2:50 yeah, that other blast beat.
1:27 just admit it, it's a Webster solo album.
Honestly though, that would be awesome.
he says that about every new album they have. its awesome
WoW shirt. Typical George. ;D This is pretty neat. Alex is a damn good composer.
theres something magical about Corpsegrinder just sitting there with his reading glasses, lookin at brutal lyrics. XD
they seem like such a good group of guys, alex seems like a really good guy
Alex said "I know I can write anything I want and these guys can do it" amazing
EVISCERATION PLAGUE written by alex webster?, he is my hero now, that song is one of the coolest songs ever.

Pat is a fucking beast!

i could imagine him saying "oh dude, that is NOT the preferred nomenclature"
rob and pat need to get the metal hammer dimebag darrel shredder award man.
lol, this reminds me of the Rockstar Mayhem tour that they did last sunday on the 12th, George Corpsegrinder told the audience, "You better buy the new album or else I'll come down there and kill you with my bare f!@#$ing hands!" even though I can barely understand a word that's being said by Cannibal Corpse, I still find the speedy heavy music very heartpounding!
@paparoach110
the bonus song is called Skull Fragment Armor, its an unreleased song from The Wretched Spawn
Cannibal Corpse is basically Alew Webster, the day he leaves the band will be in a serious trouble. He writes everything song and lyrics, Corpsegrinder doesn't even help him he said in a album he wrote like 2 lines lol

2:34 - yellow poster for 2002 Metalmania Festival in Katowice - Poland :)
in my opinion, it doesen't matter who writes what, as long as CC's happy and content with what they r making
Love cannibal corpse....and see George with glasses..that's the most sickest face I ve ever seen...
It's pretty awesome if you compare the making of a CC album to lets say another genre's album production. CC is soo proud of their work.
I'd be too if I were cannibal
The bold dude from 1:23 looks like Erik Lindmark from deeds of flesh
alex is a genius
Too Amazing!!!!!!!!!
cant wait to get this album.cannibal corpse fucking rules!!!
@MutedChord Meshuggah's tuning is actuall in F, so it's a step and a half lower than CC on their lowest songs
I cant be the only person who thinks Rob Barrett sounds like John Goodman
Evisceration is the best album they've ever done. My CC-song list is:
10: Hammer Smashed Face
9. Evidence In The Furnace
8. Festering In The Crypt
7. Necrosadistic Warning
