Proper maintenance of our clipper blades will give you a smoother, faster cut and it also keeps the blades sharp for a long time. By investing a little time everyday to clean and oil our blades, we save ourselves a lot of time and money in the long run. Take care of your tools, and your tools will take care of you :-) Happy Grooming, everyone!

I’m so glad that you left in the part where the cutter came out of the blade and you struggled to put it back in, because I’ve never related to anything more! 😂

Yesterday I was cleaning my blade and the little plastic thing came off, I tought the whole blade was broken, so I threw it away. Today I saw your clip and I litteraly fished the blade out of the bin! Hahahaha!!! Now I’ve put it back together and oiled it. Thank you so much! It works again!

Thank you so much. I started grooming my Golden Doodle during CoVID, and somehow missed how to care for my blades. This is very clear, and I love that you accidentally slid the blade apart and then showed us how to put it back together. That is real life!!! I am likely to do that and would have struggled more without your film.

It's pretty easy to put back to together by loosening the back screws so you can lift up the piece better and just slip the blade in there again. Then just tighten screws.

The BEST part of this video is when that little cylinder fell out when the blades were separated. That is called a Blade Guide and mine broke (on a 20- year old A5 Turbo clipper.) Oster has no info on how to replace that Blade Guide, and it's not on UA-cam either. But EUREKA it just happens to be on your video. So I spent $1.49 on a new part instead of $150 on new clippers. Thanks!

Hi Jun, you are a real inspiration. I'm not a groomer, but I have two dogs (a Cockapoo and Bichon) whom we adore so I wanted to learn how to groom them myself. I suffer from various allergies so I would struggle going on a grooming course. But somehow since my dogs don't malt very much I no longer react to their hair. Your videos are great and your story of how you became a dog groomer is fascinating. And your wife must also have a beautiful heart for supporting you
I been to Vietnam the culture and people are beautiful.

You helped me SO much!! I have an Andis. I am not a pro groomer. But, during the coronavirus, I had to do something to get my Cocker Spaniel clipped. She was miserable! I now know why people love these clippers with the removable blades. I had no idea how to remove or clean them until this video. I now see I need at least one more blade and the cool spray too. I had to stop clipping before I was finished because the blade got too hot.

If you don't want to pry up on the clip loosen the two screws on the front of the clip. Slide in the blade and re-tighten the screws. be careful the screw is only about 3/16" long so just loosen it a little.

Good video.. Oil is your best friend. Oiling your blade will lengthen the life of the blades. The clipper loves oil, it makes its job easier. The sharpening is easier on me if people use oil blades and it's better for how long the sharpening last. Oiling your blade makes the friction of the 2 peices of metal to reduce heat and it will have less noise. If your blades turn orange with a rust look then you need to oil. Great video, you know more than a lot of clipper blade sharpeners. Use a flat head screwdriver instead of hemostats it's a little easier and you should try H-42 for oil it is amazing oil sanitizer. Have a great day and keep it sharp and running at full speed. If you need an experienced Diamond wheel clipper blade sharpener look me up.
