I live not too far from Plant City, FL which is known for strawberries. 5 years ago we used to be able to get a flat of strawberries for less than $10. This year they were $25/flat! Everything has just gone up so much it's ridiculous.
Aldi is one of, if not the most popular and best Grocery Store in Germany. It‘s one of the best things to come out of here hahah. I‘m glad people in the US like it too✨

I love these videos! ALDI is wonderful for not raising their prices as much as all of the other stores. I hope they keep that in mind before raising the prices too much. They should promote their stores more as the lowest prices in grocery. Compete with the likes of Walmart.

It's really fascinating (and soul-wrecking) to track the rate of inflation through these grocery hauls. It's crazy, isn't it?! I'm here in Canada and have found myself cutting out soda, baking my own bread, and becoming vegetarian just to try to keep my grocery bill manageable! Oh, and a bi-weekly Costco trip is a MUST, for anything that can be bought in bulk.

I find it so funny that Germans always mention that the logo is the color of Germany's flag because technically it isn't... I mean the red and yellow (gold), yes but we don't have orange or dark blue but black... What prices haven't gone up very much? The beans & legumes, grains, potatoes, and veggies that I usually eat for the most part. I won't buy anything that is overpriced either, or most name brands. I've been buying my cats food and litter at Tractor Supply, their prices are pretty good for pet supplies.

But the average wage is 4200$ a month before taxes which after taxes it brings you closer to 2800 to 3200 depending on your family situation. You need to get food, gas and pay insurance with 1400$. Gas is 1,78$ a liter and the average food basket is 486$ PER PERSON PER MONTH.
