Where are you located? you can farm chickens almost anywhere even if its only 20-30 chickens to start with.

Very nice and healthy idea!! But i consider ,, 450 birds in 20 m2 isnt very small and uncomfortable?
I know that Free-range rules allow nine hens per square metre of floor space.
In this case of 20 m2 : 180 hens.
Cause many days of the year may rain or snow , cold etc.. and the hens must be cept inside for further time. :)

I'm still having trouble accepting that this is real. Not that it looks suspect but could u imagine what it would look like if a Fox got in there? I have 40 chickens, that beats my coups by far but u went this far, no air conditioning or heater? Where's the tv?

Hi Zach, if you used electric fencing, maremma dogs or alpacas, foxes would be kept far away

Do you have to train them to lay inside the tractor when they're pullets, or do you mix a few older hens in to show them the way? Also, any issues with the occasional ones who lay on the field?
