I love Nina's voice and aesthetic SO MUCH, she does so many collabs. I wouldn't mind knowing who approached whom on this deal cause it's an absolute banger from both parties.
I really prefer this version over the original. Nina and Apocalyptica are such an awesome combination, and she infuses so much more emotions in the lyrics.
When I first heard the original song, I thought that It would be so beautiful with cello. And then I found this. The little things in life that makes you happy. Very happy.
When I hear the song of Rammstein, I think it is about a man who has been dumped by his girlfriend/boyfriend. When I hear the song of Nina, I think it is about a mermaid who wants to seduce someone and make him drown in the deep sea. ...These two are beautiful.
There is not really much of what Nina made that i actually like... but THIS combines everything i like about her, Rammstein and Apocalyptica. Milestone that gives me shivers.

Nina Hagen is a Legend in Germany. Traditionally educated in eastern Germany, but more closely related to western punk rock. Great voice above all, and a message to it (concerning totalitarianism). You should never forget, she did all that also in a time where it could spell oblivion to take a stand against the regime .yet, she staid true to herself. I really admire her, wholeheartedly. As a west German. And not the only one. Ask the others. As to the original text: there are a lot of references to traditional German mythology, if you intend to delve into this and feel fit to do so. If you're not, well, things aren't always as easy as they may seem.

Thank you Nina for another All in performance....My skin was crawling with goose bumps you nailed that piece so well ..Standing ovation with a loudspeaker yelling--HELL YEAH!!!!!!!
If it wasn't for this cover I would've never discovered Rammstein in my lifetime.
one of the most beautiful collaboration i could ever wish to see, Nina's artistry and voice control are just another level
I love it when she says 'mutterrrrrrrrrrrr' 3:12
mansonjoselito She's as mad as a box of mad things, being particularly mad that day 😬
Its just german.....
nein, niemand spricht mutter so bescheuert aus
Me too...😂it Sounds funny.😂
Dang it. I'm not an emotional person, but I've just watched this and I've lost all my words and my heart is beating out the flow of fire and tears. It is magnificent.
i never paid attention to the title when i added this to my phone and finding out this is all by one vocalist... oml
And I thought Till Lindemann had a deep voice...
+Zack Argonov better than lind
+CHAO GAO darker but not necessary better but dayum that voice is soooooo deeeeeeep but the instrumental the way they play it just sucks rammstein better
+Zack Argonov but Nina did it much better!
reason why she probably have the deep voice is probably haw she looks its just like a scarecrow
Totally disagree. Nina is overly dramatic and lacks the vulnerability that makes the song so powerful
Nina Hagen - one of the most recognizable voice in Europe and the world.
probabil că este adevărat, frate
I almost cried when I heard it first time... this song is so poignant 😢
And wow, both Nina Hagen and Till Lindemann have so deep voices which fit to this song perfectly, I still cannot decide which version is better
Sameee
I saw Nina in Germany in a little town in NRW Herford. Amazing. Brilliant, original, and an energy that doesn't disappoint. I wish we had her here in Australia.
God! What a voice!
Her children should never make her angry 😅
Loved her voice! Wonderful!
You're aware that her daughter is in her forties? :D
@@novacolonel5287 hahaha really? Nice..
Wow, Nina Hagen has an impressive vocal range. I kind of want to hear her perform Pirate Jenny from Threepenny Opera now.
She did that one. Look up nina hagen seeräuberjenny
I love Nina's voice and aesthetic SO MUCH, she does so many collabs. I wouldn't mind knowing who approached whom on this deal cause it's an absolute banger from both parties.
I've never heard of Nina Hagen until literally just now. WOW! What an incredible voice!! *runs off to google everything possible*
she is a german icon .. almost everyone here knows at least her name
Google it. She's really great and very diverse.
@@Calvoleon 2 years later and its safe to say I've googled her a fair few times lol :)
Check out 99 Luft Balloons for a starter. A 1980s hit by her. But you already have by now! lol
Whaaat? Nina is not Nena....lol.
This woman has a strong voice! Is awesome!!!
This is nothing compared to her own recordings! Check out "Smack Jack"
***** Thanks!
Her album "Nun Sex Monk Rock" was my favorite work by her... still awesome after all these years
My favorite Apocalyptica song/cover with vocals.
Such a splendid idea to shoot this at the location in the Gulf of Finland. A truly special place.
God there can be no song and interpretation so perfect, this reaches your soul
I heard this version before the Rammstein one, many years ago. I love it. Nina has such an incredible voice.
I really prefer this version over the original. Nina and Apocalyptica are such an awesome combination, and she infuses so much more emotions in the lyrics.
@@SocialNetwooky I agree. I really like the original too, but her voice just makes this one even more amazing to me.
A really creepy mermaid maybe, like a mermaid demon
So basically a siren. ;)
The singer is death, in both versions.
Song about prostitute, by the way....
There is not really much of what Nina made that i actually like... but THIS combines everything i like about her, Rammstein and Apocalyptica. Milestone that gives me shivers.
Komm in mein Boot
So ganz allein treibst du davon
Wer hält deine Hand
Wenn es dich nach unten zieht?
[Strophe 2]
Wo willst du hin?
So uferlos die kalte See
Komm in mein Boot
Der Herbstwind hält die Segel straff
[Refrain]
[Strophe 3]
Komm in mein Boot
Die Sehnsucht wird der Steuermann
Komm in mein Boot
Der beste Seemann war doch ich
[Refrain]
Danke, Nina!
absolut! Sie ist ein Teil von uns.
Apocalyptica is the reason I found Nina Hagen's music. I had always thought Björk was completely original until I heard Nina's older music Nina is one of a kind.
Ancora 1000 volte grazie.
This version is absolutely breathtaking...
Absolut große Kunst. Danke Nina. Danke Till. Danke Apokalyptica. Alle gewonnen.
She sounds dark, sexy, creepy and on fire the same time. The lower voice is just breathtaking. I love Nina since I'm a child. Germanys best musician. 👌🏽 What an incredible talent she has. Unbelievable
Danke. ;)
Aber im Ernst, du hast total Recht! So underrated!
What a great song, I love it! I put it into my "Shellshocked Radio - Recommendations" List: ua-cam.com/video/shbpSsFj1n8/v-deo.html and Radio Show! Very well done!

I left Europe in the early 90 for Australia and their music scene. Good to see Nina is still pumping. She's still got it and I love that she still sings in German
Nina es increíble... nadie nunca podrá superarla.
Wow...when this came out 15 years ago I heared this and ever since I had this melody in my head and never found the song for it. Today, I found it, it's like a flashback
finding a song after years is the best feeling
Nina Hagen, mein Idol meiner Jugend, immer wieder genial. Was für eine kraftvolle Stimme...... Danke dafür
I love this song, really Nina has an incredible voice, very hard and with high quality.
Brilliant.
The way she uses her voice as an instrument in itself. Her vibrato, the way she rolls the words.
What she did at 3:03 and at 3:12 absolute wow
She has a voice of a jazz singer performing in some smokey French back alley cafe at 2 am. Love it.
She is sooooo amazing! That voice...those eyes...soooo powerful!
It's incredible how the same lyrics, sung by Till are so sad, and sung by Nina, are so gloomy, but I like her version. Also the music cover by Apocalyptica is so good.
Ahhhhh!!! I love the Nina's ultra germanic and strong pronunciation ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
She now owns this song in the same way Johnny Cash now owns "Hurt."
And I'm a massive Rammstein mark.
Like Jimi Hendrix owns All Along The Watchtower
2021, and still listening, We love you Nina, Love from Sweden.
We LOVE you Nina! Don't ever be normal.
What a masterpiece, Nina is the best singer ever, I am 62 and I have been following her since I was 16
nina hagen has a beautiful unique voice. i love it.
I have long since forgot about this song , and then randomly wanted to listen to it again and couldn't find it to save my life. And then suddenly in my recommended, a mix with this in it. UA-cam. You scary.
Does Nina ever age? She looks exactly the same as she did in the '80's! 💜 Nina forever...
