I really prefer this version over the original. Nina and Apocalyptica are such an awesome combination, and she infuses so much more emotions in the lyrics.
Ancora 1000 volte grazie.
Brilliant. The way she uses her voice as an instrument in itself. Her vibrato, the way she rolls the words. What she did at 3:03 and at 3:12 absolute wow
Apocalyptica is the reason I found Nina Hagen's music. I had always thought Björk was completely original until I heard Nina's older music Nina is one of a kind.
I almost cried when I heard it first time... this song is so poignant 😢 And wow, both Nina Hagen and Till Lindemann have so deep voices which fit to this song perfectly, I still cannot decide which version is better
Nina Hagen is a Legend in Germany. Traditionally educated in eastern Germany, but more closely related to western punk rock. Great voice above all, and a message to it (concerning totalitarianism). You should never forget, she did all that also in a time where it could spell oblivion to take a stand against the regime .yet, she staid true to herself. I really admire her, wholeheartedly. As a west German. And not the only one. Ask the others. As to the original text: there are a lot of references to traditional German mythology, if you intend to delve into this and feel fit to do so. If you're not, well, things aren't always as easy as they may seem.
Orginal gibts hier: ua-cam.com/video/HSUZ02Z2kIo/v-deo.html

Wow...when this came out 15 years ago I heared this and ever since I had this melody in my head and never found the song for it. Today, I found it, it's like a flashback
finding a song after years is the best feeling
There is not really much of what Nina made that i actually like... but THIS combines everything i like about her, Rammstein and Apocalyptica. Milestone that gives me shivers.
She is a real trip, so beautiful & I thank Creator I got to see her, Seattle '93', Under the Rail, small venue the best show I ever danced all the way through, really good medicine!!!
I left Europe in the early 90 for Australia and their music scene. Good to see Nina is still pumping. She's still got it and I love that she still sings in German
many times be in apocalyptica concert`s Thank`s guys, you are the best ones..!
Such a splendid idea to shoot this at the location in the Gulf of Finland. A truly special place.
I heard this version before the Rammstein one, many years ago. I love it. Nina has such an incredible voice.
I really prefer this version over the original. Nina and Apocalyptica are such an awesome combination, and she infuses so much more emotions in the lyrics.
@@SocialNetwooky I agree. I really like the original too, but her voice just makes this one even more amazing to me.
She has a voice of a jazz singer performing in some smokey French back alley cafe at 2 am. Love it.
So soooo beautiful ! Lure into ocean and deep waters. Beautiful Nina with her incredible voice
I love this song, really Nina has an incredible voice, very hard and with high quality.
What a masterpiece, Nina is the best singer ever, I am 62 and I have been following her since I was 16
Vielleicht geht ja was mit Bauhaus :'D
Wtf wtf wtf wtf wtf wtf 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@regiobusrheinruhr5770 wieder was dazu gelernt? ;)
@@Deathoutofhell leider ja🤣
I almost cried when I heard it first time... this song is so poignant 😢
And wow, both Nina Hagen and Till Lindemann have so deep voices which fit to this song perfectly, I still cannot decide which version is better
Sameee
Eins der geilsten Lieder der letzten 20 Jahre.

2021, and still listening, We love you Nina, Love from Sweden.
Das habe ich heute das erstemal gesehen. Echt, Nina Hagen , du hast meinen Respekt.Super Cover. Das muss ich mir noch öfters reinziehen. Richtig gut.
Dito!
Nina, we love you❤️
From France 🇫🇷
I stumbled across this vid in the last week... wasn't looking for it. But i have known about Nina since my teens. 3 octave range... deppening over time to smoking and the rasp.... i find myself today listening to this everyday...i love Rammstein too. Just hope she does a few more before she passes away.... THE GODMOTHER OF PUNK!!!!
Danke, Nina!
absolut! Sie ist ein Teil von uns.
Nina Hagen - one of the most recognizable voice in Europe and the world.
This interpretation by Nina is everything!! Love her vocals. ❤❤❤

*To the Goddess we bow. Thanks for the Golden Age in music.*
I allways thought of Ramsteins "Seemann" as a perfect composition. Meaning every note, every sound and every creative dicision is exactly on point. This version is at least at close as it gets to that 100 percent.
This is absolutely beautiful!!! I LOOOVE NINA!! What a gorgeous combination!!! 🖤🤘🖤🤘🖤
Wow, Nina Hagen has an impressive vocal range. I kind of want to hear her perform Pirate Jenny from Threepenny Opera now.
She did that one. Look up nina hagen seeräuberjenny
So deep, and emotional, perfection. Its unbeliavable, how old the song is.
nina hagen has a beautiful unique voice. i love it.
