  • Tour Te Waipounamu is a 1,300km bike packing race spanning the length of New Zealand's South Island. With technical terrain and tedious hike a bike sections gear selection and bike choice is a hot topic. Rufus shows us how he has set his Sufur Prototype bike for the race. If you missed it, I posted a video of Rufus making this video from the ground up! Enjoy, and remember to follow the race @tourtewaipounamu on instagram.

Joe you make some of the best content on UA-cam, keep it up 👍🏻 what can we look forward to in 2024… Atlas Mountain Race, Silk Road Mountain Race or Tour Divide again?

Very tidy and succinct in presentation (both the video and the rig)

As someone who attempts to bike-pack minimally and fails miserably I have mad respect for this setup! Best of luck on the Tour!!

Very nice setup. Great handlebar gadgets. Simple, clean and cleaver. I wish my full frame back could have the same capacity as Rufus halframe back. Amount of space he has in it is just mind blowing 🙆‍♂️😄 Great content Joe. Regards.

How do you like neosonic aerobars?

  • @joelsherlin-fd6fj

Being that you designed the bike why not design it so your water bottle mounts are maybe under your top tube and your bag is low in the frame? I do think you did a great job designing this bike i just thought the heavy weight of the bag with contents might be better lower in the frame. Great respect for what you have done.
