The Hexerei mod for Minecraft 1.18.1 is a witch themed mod that adds in witch clothes/armor, customizable flying brooms, new inventory solutions, herbs and candles to give effects, as well as a whole new mixing cauldron crafting system, and some really great coven villages! Live your best witch academy life with this mod!

@@June_Yue I don't know if it's finished or not, but I do know it's for Fabric only.
Bewitchment is not a port of witchery, and the mod dev ultimately went in a different direction than witchery. Unfortunately nothing has really recreated what Emoniph was able to do with witchery. Thus far this is the closest I've seen, but only covers the brewing. Witchery had this, circle magic, vampirism, etc etc.
Okay, this is *definitely* going in my pack once I move to 1.18.
The herb jars give me fond memories of Thaumcraft.

So good! This mod very quickly made it to my must-have list.
joefoxe has put in some amazing things, even amazing things in early versions of this mod. The broom is basically a flying boat with how it moves, and I love it.

The magic mod (I forgot the creator but is has different types on wands and different levels with scrolls) was incredible then we have the gem that is mana and artifice and now this?

Reminds me of the good old Witchery mod I first encountered in the Attack of the B-Team modpack from years back. Good to see a new successor to it, but what's the difference between this and Bewitchment?
Bewitchment tries to copy Witchery. Hexerei tries to make Hexerei.

I love how esthetically pleasing this mod is i am definitely gonna use this in conjunction with between lands when they are at the same point so that i can be a very witchy witch hehe also i would love to see Ritual magic and altars added in along with some other things like a Witch's Grimoire or book of shadows also the thatch from between lands would lend to the esthetic aswell ^.^

yes, there are! both Willow and Mahogany have doors, trapdoors, fences, fence gates, buttons, pressure plates, planks, stripped and wood versions! ✨
@@FreshAlacrity Was a Yoggscast reference, but also really good that they put in a large number of items for the wood types. I wish more mods did (although it's becoming a trend). I also wish they did for things like chests and barrels; basically all the things in all the varieties :P XD.

This is a highly underrated mod, especially since Witchery Resurrected is still taking a while for it to get completed/ported. Some folks have kept telling me to just 'use Bewitchment', but I can't justify using Fabric after the drama that went down. Plus, the features that made Bewitchment *fun* were consolidated and MoriyaShiine has been missing the assignment ever since they became the owner and kept the mod updated. JoeFoxe on the other hand is currently just laying out the foundation of his mod. I can only imagine what he's in store with that book. If/When Witchery Resurrected makes it to the same version? I'll probably be able to enjoy 1.18.1 way more.
Tell more, what is this wichtery ressureccted thing about? Are they actually updating the old witchery by emoniph to 1.18?

@@thesixstistari5604 It's a reconstructed mod. They're making everything from scratch and it'll eventually lead to ports to 1.18/current versions of Minecraft, but for now it's going to be for 1.12.2 as a base.
Edit: Forgot to include a big detail, you can find it as Witchery: Resurrected. Right now they're using the original mod as a resource pack, but they're making their own custom objects/textures/code/etc. Though I've also been taking things with a grain of salt, despite the progress made on their Trello. I'd say they're about 40% finished, maybe 50%, so it's a project that's still heavily a WIP that may or may not make it like a lot of others that have attempted or created partial recreations.
@@NoraNekos7 Without getting into the actual drama, but just state the context, there was some transphobia from one of the Fabric devs that further divided the community and it's now why Quilt is being developed, with it's latest update in November.

@@June_Yue yeah kinda, it's addons, but sadly the newest update for minecfaft doesn't allow block to be bigger then 16×16×16 pixel radius

I know i’m about 4 months late, but i noticed when i downloaded this mod (specifically the cauldron recipes) with JEI, I don’t see all the recipes for the mod. I’m not sure if i did something wrong, but only a few recipes show up. Can i like do something lol?

Can i actually heal the brush? I put mending on the brush tried riding the broom, having it in my hand, even taking the brush off as a separate item while getting exp but it doesn't get healed. Am i missing something?
Sounds like a bugged version. I'd report it
@@MischiefofMice Well it is the latest version far as I know...So if you know how would Mending heal it? While riding the broom, while having the broom in your hand or in the hot bar, removing the brush from the broom and having it in hand or in hot bar while picking up exp? Or perhaps something entirely different I didn't think of? Please do tell if you know.
how do you view the mixing caldron uses with jei? its not showing anything for me

Nah it's pronounced like he said in the video, it's the German word for witchery

(Hexerei is a german word so try to use a german R... yes I know that it's mostly impossible for native english speakers but that's what makes it funny to watch)
