I like my 200HG as well. I decided on the Lew's Super Duty 300 for the larger reel. There are times that I like my Lew's Custom Inshore and Daiwa Coastal TW though.
What the best inshore rod I can get that’s around 7’6 MH and doesn’t break easily? looking to pair it with a 200 curado dc to fish for bluefish flounder and stripers. MY budget is around 150-200
Guess you never heard of Bates baitcasters. Bates salty 150. Only full CNC aluminum frame with 20 lb drag. Made for saltwater. Try one. I just ordered one. It weighs only 8 oz.
Only reason i dont like using my baitcaster is because i dont get to hear the drag singing to me lol whats your honest opinion on the daiwa coastal 200hs?
Not CA but my Coastal 200 is a tank. Haven't had any problems with it and the drag is very smooth. The large handle and knobs are also nice when you need a bit of leverage.
The curado 150 mgl can throw heavy corkies and mirrodine minis. It is a great reel that's leaps beyond the curado K. The 150 can do everyrhing of the curado 70 and the curado 200. I also have the competition at the 200 price, diawa TWS sv103 and the lews tournament pro. The curado 150 is a better caster and smoother drag. I have taken advantage of digitaka and Japan tackle. The Yen is doing so poorly, you order reels from Japan for deep discounts and get them in 3 to 4 days. With that, a metanium is only 230, a Zillion is 235, a Scorpion Dc with ID 5 is 200. No tax, no shipping. I would put the curado 150mgl closer to the performance of the zillion and metanium rather than other curados or the other 200 door price reels.
If you go the Japanese route (I have ordered 4 reels just recently and arrive in 3 days, 2 metaniums and 2 zillions) make sure ypu get some good line too. The Verivas 8 is awesome. It's 31lb test but the diameter of the US market 15lb line. It's also marked so you can know how much line is out or going on the spool. Here, 200m is 40-50 dollars. Ordering from japan,20-25 dollars. Same deals with great fluoros and monos too.
The Curado K is a fine reel and I have a bunch and for the 200 size it is a great choice but the Tranx would be my choice in the 300 size.

I love my Curado 200…it’s one hell of a reel….
Man I love your series. Good job!
THIS WAS GREAT, THANKS CA!
Baitcasters...... all a Man, ever really needs
a man after my own heart
I’m fishing the OBX this week with Curado 200s on 7.5 med and med/hvy rods…great inshore setup
im looking to get the curado dc 200 and need and good strong inshore rod that won’t break that is around 7’6 MH. Do You have any recommendations?
I fish with the old school curado 300 dsv models I love em!
Dang I would gave bet Tranx 😎
The larger Tranx for sure are solid bets for bull reds
Best reel ever
What make rods you using? Length etc.

@flatsclasstv ca why you picking curado 200 and 300 over shimano tranx 200 and 300, i know you love the new tranx 150?
I'm with you on this one. Tranx 150! Can't go wrong with it!
What rods do you use on them
Medium Hvy Teramar XX or PX

@@marcusyoung2870 i mainly use mine for froggin bass. I have caught one snook on it but would much rather gear the drag lol
@@camboflo727 You can install a clicking drag on most reels, I would look into that if I were you
Get a JDM Diawa Zillion SV TWS. It's am awesome baitcaster and has a clicker.
Isn't the Tranx salwater rated and the Curado isn't?
What’s your preferred baitcaster for mr27s to fat boys? Been considering the curado mgl 150. Any other long distance reels to consider?

@@ETuss713 a lot of good info. I appreciate it bud. I’ll have to look into it!
@@ChristianLDworske the verivas line I was talking g about is the 1.5 gauge.
Daiwa Tatula or Daiwa Coastal 👍
I have to strongly disagree. Rarely is a 150 even needed. A 100 size will handle 99 percent of the bull reds.
I don’t even see why the reel torque matters. The rod will do the work and then you reel down
@@Gio-nl7eg you are correct.
I’ve caught more bull reds than I can count on my 23 year old curado 100b.
