Eight years on and this still looks awesome to me. One of the videos that inspired me to take up FPV in the first place. It's odd, now, I can feel the type of quad and how it flew just watching this. Brings back good memories of a time of wonder and discovery. Hope you're doing all right in lockdown mate.
I was thinking about my top 5 videos that inspired me to fly FPV. I realise that everyone’s kit has moved on from some of these videos but I still go back to them. Landmark videos in my mind. 1. Golden - Juz70 2. Calke Abbey Eye in the Sky - Ycopter 3. Proximity Sunset - David Windestål 4. Melt - Mid West Rob 5. Spring Preview - Ycopter
I looked up FPV in the dictionary and it said "Watch FPV - golden". Best FPV video on UA-cam. Good video to show someone new to FPV how it all works. A+
I downloaded your vid a couple of months ago and it is still running on my second screen as screensaver and chillout. Simply great, astonishing ........every time!....I don't know what the definition of art is (hey, people - don't WIKI me!).. but it must be somekind - at least it is very creative. Keep it coming! Cheers from Germany Crashpilot P.s.: I am def. not one of the "dislikers"
Your videos are amazing. I've been doing this for a while now and have an army of multicopters big and small. You have set me a new benchmark to aim for. I'm now feeling inspired to concentrate on my proximity flying. Thanks and keep up the good work.
Dude, I love your vids, they're just awesome entertainment. You're making Oz look way too good for yet another Kiwi wanting to flee low pay rates, and Earthquakes, & skip over the ditch. Keep it up!
Very talented flying and you can tell how much fun your having. Well done! Hope they making a nice big batch of Cc boards again otherwise I'm thinking of buying a "Quadrino zoom", not sure how good they are though. Just can't wait to have this much control and stability :)
Fantastic video Juz, nice flying and beautiful location/time of day. You had me there with the inverted flight for a second, then I realized you were indeed falling... hehe impressive!
Nice juz! Juzt the best :-) the gopro2 does alread like to paint yellowish scenes, but here this works perfect in this morning? Hours. I'd say this is the best looking sunrise from an fpv copter ive seen so far!
I think the motor shafts are ok. Props are balanced, but I doubt I've done a perfect job. Screws aren't coming out due to vibrations anymore. I'm currently using 3 layers or sorbothane so its getting better. Thanks for the tip!
Didn't notice the water reflection problem with the GoPro that much before, quite notable from 0:47 Otherwise, great video! Also enjoyed your FPV video though the house/garden, subscribed.
Great video! I liked how you had your ground station setup. Any chance you could do a quick run thru of your equipment and the manufatures. Thanks in advance
@2007TypeR I don't think that's actually the case right now, but it could be soon if the FAA has its way. They have exempted model aviation, but new rules for UAVs are coming. If those new rules require some "bullshit course and clearance" it would still not diminish the value of using UAVs to save lives.
I can't belive how awsome this looks. With a awsome quad-copter this seems like it could have alot of real world applications! Hell it would be fun just to watch surfers.
very nice juz. Amazing video and after stumbling onto it and waching more of your vids i think i have found the most addicting hobby i will ever havelol...may be sending you pms for questions or advice if you dont mind. will start building one ...or atleast ordering parts lol.....Once again this is an amzing and beautiful vid bro!!
Great video! It would have been really cool to start on the other side of the hill, and then raise over the cliff to see the ocean. It was awesome anyways.
@honda125 the developers are taking forever to make these boards and it could be awhile longer...you need to go to the open pilot forum and follow the directions on how to get on the waiting list.
depending on electronics and including the radio gear, somewhere around 800-1000 maybe more. but just for the multirotor around 500 depending on equipment. im sure if u look up some vids on a quadcoptor u could get more specific info. i also have some vids of what a quad looks like but no where near this quality.
Great video as always juz..:) always fun to fly with you,.. I have been looking for a copter control board everywhere and i cant find one, They are all sold out, Do you know where i can pick one up..
you're the reason I wanna get my own project rolling. I read through the infos on your web page. You use an rmrc 520 fpv camera as well as a GoPro. wouldn't it be possible to use the gopro for both the fpv and the recording? Keep it up! I like really like your taste in music as well. New subscriber for sure
@juz70 Thanks! One more question.......you fly amazingly close to the ground, and in other videos you fly extremely close to trees. How often do you actually hit the ground? Or hit a tree? How often does it cause a crash?
Amazing. Thank you. just getting into FPV and your videos are so cool. Is the open pilot board better than tha DJI Naza? dont know which way to go? and are you using any de shaker stabilision after effects? Cheers Ian
Man this was my FAVORITE fpv video back in the day. It all looked so much faster back then. -Fan from the States
pretty funny to see how slow it is now...soooo sloooow
I used to be convinced that my hoverthings settup hauled ass. Guess not! Cheers!

Exact sentiments here! This video too was the inspiration of my journey of discovery with quadcopters and FPV since the early days of 2012

Just posted this to RotorRiot FB group as a reminder of the history of FPV, let's see if we can push it over 100k views. Keep it up Justin! #FPV4LIFE

Juz, this one video keeps on inspiring me every time I watch it. Thanks. I can't wait to complete my TBS Discovery build and get some epic footage.

Your video has been the constant inspiration for building my fpv quad.
Awesome. That's all I have to say.
Freaking amazing. I hope this changes the way movies are made
I watch this video at least once a week. I really love the location.

hey man, sorry for the late reply. Yes, you can use the gopro for FPV. I prefer a dedicated CCD camera. I now use the Lumenier CU-690 and TBS69.
I think the motor shafts are ok. Props are balanced, but I doubt I've done a perfect job. Screws aren't coming out due to vibrations anymore. I'm currently using 3 layers or sorbothane so its getting better. Thanks for the tip!
classic, this is one of your videos that got me into this hobby
I like this flight too....was amazing fun at the time.
CC3D boards will be available soon. Only way to get one is to be active and follow the project.
Didn't notice the water reflection problem with the GoPro that much before, quite notable from 0:47 Otherwise, great video! Also enjoyed your FPV video though the house/garden, subscribed.
I just watched this 3 times in a row. I'm trying to come back to reality but this is too good.
@ericgleiser413 song is Memoirs by Rameses (ENiGMA Dubz remix)
this made me feel really small for some reason. thanks for the video man
Great video! I liked how you had your ground station setup. Any chance you could do a quick run thru of your equipment and the manufatures.
Thanks in advance
Excellent pilotage, excellent video and sound!

@almcken Peter Jackson is using a newly developed ‘drone’ camera setup while filming the hobbit, 8 blade thing apparently
@honda125
the developers are taking forever to make these boards and it could be awhile longer...you need to go to the open pilot forum and follow the directions on how to get on the waiting list.
@Happy2th I usually only crash when I have a failure of some type. Though, I have had a couple of small stacks...no big deal.

@aWanderer1001 It's not about the fc, it's all about serious pilot skills.
juz70 is the Warthox of multi-fpv ;)
balance your props. Make sure your motor shafts/prop adapters are straight. Try different types of foam under the gopro.
this, sir, was awesome! :D
@crisva cool. best of luck with that. Its addictive and amazing fun.

I can see this being used in search and rescue operations..
Why yes! ...to answer my own question after checking out the link lol.
agreed, way cool. I'm assuming it's a Heli with a cam for nav and a gopro?
read the video description for a link to details
nice as usual !
