I have a picture with him whilst backstage at the savoy in ‘97. I suppose he didn’t mind back then as Facebook didn’t exist and it was taken with a real camera and had to be developed. Makes me treasure the photo even more now.
I have loved- The Pet Shops Boys since I was 9 years old, I am 45 years old now, but I wouldn't want to meet them, classic saying never meet your idols, I would be really upset and disappointed- if I was these people in this clip- that I couldn't get a picture to freeze that moment in time forever priceless- after all of the years of being a loyal paying fan! Michael Jackson had the Artist code he knew he would be nothing without his fans! He had love and time for his fans! It was all about music bringing people together - through the love of music!
A pity he doesn't take pictures but he has his reasons as mentioned in the video, and he's always polite about it. I briefly met him in 2014 after a concert and had my phone out just in case but he respectfully declined to have a photo so I quickly just smiled and put my phone away (which I could see he appreciated) and we shook hands. I managed to get on the front row directly in front of his microphone stand and Neil even said he saw me having a great time haha. I wasn't disappointed as it was a fantastic night regardless and I still got to meet one half of my favourite band. :)

He's friendly enough though isn't he let's be fair, nobody in this video seems remotely pleased to have met him at all, it even sounds like they've met him before from what I can fathom, soul sapping experience for him I'd imagine.
I think it was more to do, with Neil declining getting his photo taken. I would have settled to actually meet him and shake his hand. Also let him know i am from his neck end of the woods ( north east)

I don't understand why he refuses to be photographed for selfies while being filmed at the same time. You can also take photos at concerts and they will end up on Facebook too.

That's not fair when you write that bad accent has something to do with Neil's reaction. They were probably very nervous and I believe that Neil understood this. I also don't think they were playing like ''obsessed fans''. I would behave the same, because it's my once in a lifetime moment with favourite singer ;) They're not rude or unpolite. They seems to be disappointed and a bit consfused at the end. That's sad, but it's Neil decision of course. Respect it.
