Palestine -Israel conflict is not a religious conflict. But religion is also involved. There are many dimension s of the conflict. So assuming the conflict as anti-Muslim or anti-Islamic
is a wrong idea. It is not that simple. The parties engaged in the conflict should reconcile. We all should create pressure to the conflicting parties to engage in dialogue.
The Zionists and supporters like to paint it as influenced by anti-semitism but in reality, they are anti-Islamic and they're using the anti-semitic claims to gain justification and support from the world to fully colonize Palestine
I would like to ask Dr. Shabir Ally what he thinks about arab/muslim Country offering weapons and economic funds to Hamas terrorists during the years knowing that they will use those to kill innocent civilians? Does not that actions require a severe criticism?

When the world has to protest just to say killing babies and children is not okay. Endless debates and interviews, the 'do you condemn' game never ceases.
Muslims have condemned, still no ceasefire. Condemn or dont condemn, there is no excuse for the murdering of babies and children and civillian lives. He said quite rightly, two wrongs dont make a right.

3. Spread the literature on this issue.
4. Local publicity (billboards, buses, venues, etc.)
5. Peaceful protests.
6. Boycott.
7. Contribute financially (charity, a portion for Palestine).
8. Condemn on mainstream media if you can.
9. File legal cases in international courts.
10. Protest at a diplomatic level (e.g., letter to the ambassador).
11. Total trade boycott at the country level.
12. Cut diplomatic ties.
13. Unite!

That is a good point. If Muslims were united, however, there would be no occupation and no Hamas or Israel in the first place. All nations (including Jews) would be free to come in and out of Jerusalem, as was the case for the 800 years that Muslims owned the holy city.

It’s not Israel’s war it’s Palestine war. Some of us are older than 20. Palestine chose to make Hamas the official government in 2014. Question for Dr. Shabir. You talk about calculating lives lost with regards how disproportionate it is on both sides.
How many innocent lives would have been lost on the Israeli side if it wasn't for their rocket defence system?
Thousands of missiles were and are still being fired at innocent civilians by Gazans over the past few weeks and as you read this.
It's incalculable to think about the amount of innocent people that would have been murdered by Hamas if it wasn't for this protection.

I think people forget tribalism plays a part in all religions. Put it this way, if there were Christians being bombed right now, how do you think Christians from around the world would feel? Many Christians got upset about the church that was bombed in Gaza. After the assault by Hamas, many Jews from around the world are happy when videos of destruction occur in Palestine even though apparently this was an Israeli thing and not a Jewish thing. just war theory was broadened and refined by the law of war code which is a subset of contemporary international law. It is misleading to cite medieval rules as if they are currently in force.
It's incorrect that the winning side has to repair the harms. In current internatinoal law the harms done are cured by negotiations between the parties at war, said negotiations must result in a peace treaty. It's also incorrect to state that the aggressor has to pay for the harms. Most wars are not followed by a definitive mechanism to establish who the aggressor.
It's also incorrect that to say that the response of Israel was an offesive maneuver. International law provides for causes of war (casus belli) and therefore when such a cause takes place then war is actually initatied by that party and the injured party can respond with a counterattack. The rule of proportionality pertains to the weight given a paticular battle obective (ie the destructio of a military asset) vis a vis the expected civilian casualties. For example if twenty tanks are on a bridge with one civilian then the tanks can be destroyed whereas if the bridge is full fo civilians it may not be attacked. Civilians do not have absolute immunity from becoming casualties in battle. They have immunity from direct attack. Moreover, if one army hides behind civilians and civilian asssets it is that army which commits a war crime. Moreover, committing a series of major war crimes such as Hamas committed assures initiation of full war, which means that the just counterattack will be forthcoming, thus it is the initial aggressor which carries the responsiility of initiating the war.
Prophet Muhammad did not harm non combatants in war , he only enslaved their women and children,dren once he killed all the men . In example of war he orchestrated against Jewish tribes of Medina on false accusations. Hamas is following examples of the prophet in this war against Israel.
Israel should follow the example & conduct of prophet Muhammad in dealing with the Jewish tribe of Bani Qurayza, with ppl of Gaza. After all Muhammad is exemplary figure in good conduct for all times.
