“For just $259 dolllars” 😭 Youn, I adore you, but idk if I can even pay rent this month 💔
Felt ❤ boo you’re not alone
IPL not as effective as diode lol
2 real
"for just..." is accurate though. Still expensive, but if someone wanted laser hair removal, this is way cheaper. But shaving is basically free.
I feel like it's extremely cheap if it lasts years, compared to the others solutions
“you have my attention”
*”you lost my attention”*
I wish! I hope this works for dark skin with dark hair. Dark skin with coarse and dark hair.
So many hair removal tools are not made for dark skin or dark skin with coarse hair and it would be really great if more treatments were made with all people in mind. Little steps though.
Unfortunately IPL is not suitable for dark skin.
If you want to try, try the other one that is way less intense. It will take longer for the results but it will be safer for you.
From the same company and it comes in green and white so that you do buy the purple one by accident
IPL is better than regular laser for dark skin. As long as there is some pigment and a difference in shade of the skin and hair, it will work. Coarser hair is actually better, since the laser has a larger target. The people who can't get use out of it are platinum blondes- especially if they have super pale skin. It's pretty amazing.
Edit; the reason it is better for a wider range of skin and hair tones is it has a much broader range of light waves. It makes it less powerful - so it takes more sessions, but it makes it more versatile.
Edit again: I've done a lot of digging to confirm this. The people saying it doesn't work have not used one, nor know how it actually works.
It's fine
I read that The At home IPL sadly is only for light skin and dark hair. It doesn’t work with light hair dark skin or both.
IPL light WORKS! 👍🏻 I have a device (another brand) and I literally killed all the thick black hair I had on my legs, face, and I am currently working on other areas. But, it works if you have lots of patience, consistency and commitment.
Also, you need to have dark hair and light skin as the IPL light burns the dark color.
People with dark skin would burn themselves.
Can it be used for light brown skin like mine or not recommended? Thanks!
@@anthonyrosique7965 Well, I can tell you from my experience that in an area where I have a birth mark which is light brown color, the IPL burned my skin there a little, to the point that became flaky and some of it came off. 😲 So, my birth mark is lighter now, that tells you the impact it would have in your skin. I don’t think it would be safe IMO.
@@MonicaPerez-yv2iw Yep. Definitely not. Thanks though!
Its temporary for almost everyone
@@jaquicx9500 No, the results I got are permanent, but it has to be done many times. It requires patience and commitment.
Personally, i would not buy something without seeing the person that is advertising it using it. Thank you though Dr Youn!
It only works with light skin and dark hair. If u have light hair OR dark skin or both u have to go get it professionally done
And the results of IPLs are temporary.
The tria 4x laser is what I have and it cover more skin tones, but still not enough, and it does work on blondes; best of all, its actually permanent. My hair actually went away faster with the tria than with one of the top laser hair removal salons in nyc.
@@jaquicx9500does it work for brown skin
@@jaquicx9500 yea I’m really interested in it ngl lol. Body hair sucks😂
Damn that sucks…
When they come out with one for darker skin, I'm definitely buying it.
Samee
What?
*Cries in ginger*
Doc, please, can you confirm if it works for all skin shades? We, black/darker-skinned women would love to know.
It doesn’t.
unfortunately, it doesn't. IPL (Intense pulsed light) is attracted to the pigment in the hair, thus it will be attracted to the pigment (melanin) in skin which can cause burns. IPL is also not recommend for blondes as the hair lacks melanin/pigment.
I was so happy until I heard "just for $259". I gasped so hard. 😂
Laser appts are $2,000 for small spots.
Does it only have a few times you can use it ??
Cool. Less door to door sales pitch, more practical information please. What hair types does this work best on? What hair type is this a lost cause for?
OK now what the _hell_ does "Sapphire Ice Cooling Energy" mean?? You mention it as a FEATURE of the device but it just seems like nonsense words. Please explain?
Edit: it's interesting. Lasers have gems in them. I had no idea!
I know what it means as a laser tech for almost two decades and that is the only part of this that isn’t sketchy. It just means it has a sapphire to chill the surface of the skin. I would definitely not trust this to give permanent results.
@@SingingAesthetician thanks for the information! I really appreciate it, you sent me onto a learning path. I responded initially with "Well that doesn't sound right, why would a laser have a sapphire in it? That doesn't make sense." And _that_ made me realize...I don't know how a laser works, maybe instead of thinking something sounds sketchy because it sounds weird to ignorant me I should look it up. I had no idea lasers incorporate precious gems! OBVIOUSLY. Lasers like these in particular, if anyone is curious, use a titanium-treated sapphire to remove or lessen the heat sensation. I'm not going to get any more technical than that because there's information out there that will explain it much better than I could.
Will the hair removal eventually be permanent if I keep using it? Ive been wanting to get one and I trust you. So I just may get this.
I'd love to know if there's any information on the long-term effects.
Yes. Possible scarring and likely regrowrh, requiring more sessions. Also doesn't work unless you have light skin and dark hair. And will burn dark skin.
It's been out a long time, just not a home product.
I’ve dealt with random patches of thick black hair on my face, neck and belly since I turned 30. It sucks. So I bought another brand although this Ulike one looked the best, I was just trying to spend less the first time to see if it worked and if I needed more rounds or better treatment I’ll get that one when this runs out. Anyway it’s the only time I’ve been grateful for super pale skin and dark hair as it’s attracted to the pigment and it can blast it better and be more precise the lighter your skin without risking burns. If you have moles, tattoos, dark scars, or dark skin I’d be very cautious and buy one of these through Amazon so you can return if it’s not for you. It definitely makes a little pain but it’s not bad and I’ve seen my hair color and volume decrease a lot. I was looking at laser hair removal before this and $300 is nothing after those prices. There’s always like a $80 off coupon too and lightning deals for it like every other week so just throw it on a list or in your cart and you’ll get notified. The one I got was around $100 and it definitely works.
I’m olive skinned. Dr. Youn, can we use this?
Probably not, and the results are temporary anyway
How does it work? I’m not buying something if I don’t know exactly how it works
How do you know if your hair won't grow back ? What if there is something that your hair will grow back as soon/after you stop using it??
This is actually a great deal, Considering how expensive frequent laser hair removal sessions are
Does it work for fair skin, w/ blond & light brown hair?
Guys just saying but IPL won't work. I have experience of 15 years. I know what I'm talking about. Also depends on your hormones. Depending on your hormones you need to use certain laser treatments... IPL istn it. Hair will grow back (just bit slower)
How long is the code good for? Also any tips on keeping the device clean in between uses? Thank you
I've been looking for something like this. I'm a guy but I absolutely hate my body hair and don't wanna pay 1000s of dollars for multiple sessions to a proffessional. I'm definitely gunna pick this up.
No dont, the results are temporary
I have the Tria 4x laser and it works and works permanently. Its like $500, but probably closer to $300 on black friday. God bless❤
@@jaquicx9500while i believe you 100%, how did you come to find out the results of this particular one is temporary?
and how long have you been using the tria for? are the results of that one actually permanent?
thanks in advance :)
@@jaquicx9500do you have this? How do you know it’s temporary results?
Hi. Does IPL have permanent hair removal results ? Is IPL better than laset technology on hair removal ? thx
Can thos be used for skin rejuvenation? Sun damage? Age spots?
Recommendation for men’s body hair removal?
does this work on naturally blonde bodyhair? I ve read a lot of times that this only works for darker hair.
This isn't for dark skinned, is it, Dr Youn?
Pls include all skin tones.last time i. A short you spoke about creepy skin and fractional laser( again not suitable for dark skinned) I heard in your longer videos
Oh yay! I need this. 🎉
How long the results last?
Where can I buy this and does it ship to the uk
Does this means that after 12 weeks I wouldn't need to use this device nor any shaver or wax anymore? It's permanent right?
How well does this work on brown skin?
Is the hair loss permanent?
Ok for dark skin? I use ndyag? Laser atm but would love to do this at home
Does it work on dark skin?
Does it matter what *colour* the hair is ???
The last time I brought one of those handheld laser treatment they have always said that they can’t be used on skin with eczema. So as much as I would like one I can’t
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSS
IM GETTING THIS FOR HUBBY ❤❤❤
$300?? I'll just shave.
Does it work for brown skin?
How is this not just light cool sculpting?
I use Brown IP epilator, the newest one, that I got for testing and it IS realy great!!! 🤩
I don't use ut very regulary anymore but oh girls... it helped me so much to get through the summer! 🙈❤️❤️
i get after shaving CRAZY itchy skin (it wakes me even at night) and this helped crazy.
Hair grows MUCH slowlier, I shave once in few weeks and it is just perfect. I have very pale- white skin with very dark black hair so it was ideal for me...
You need #ad
It didn't work for me :( i have dark hair and light skin and it just didn't work after using it every second day for 4 months :(
Does it work for darker skin??
unfortunately not
Is this as effective as getting it done by a professional?
I wonder if it's truly painless because I have the Nood flasher and it's really quite painful.
Is this device recommended for women of color?
Quando terá esse aparelho por aqui no Brasil, um laser portátil?, fabuloso.
are there Long-term studies?
Do we have to use every day???
What about hyperpigmentation in dark skin
I’m Indian, medium toned for an Indian, can I use this?
I'm so sick of everyone saying it takes less than 10 min for full body. It takes me 40 minutes to do my armpits and half of each leg. I don't even know if it's even working and I have light skin and dark hair...😒 it's been over a month
I have the ideal hair/skin color, but my hair is corse AF! Does this work well enough to NOT cause ingrown hairs?
i’ve done this professionally and havent gotten ingrowns, but i always exfoliate the next evening so that helps. you should probably read some reviews though!
@ohwow9559 my worry is at-home ones aren't strong enough. I didn't think of exfoliating, which would definitely work. Thank you!
@@waywardgoddess7219 no problem! just make sure you wait a day or two so your skin isn’t too sensitive :)
Does it work on dark skinned people
does it remove white hair
does it work on light skin gray hair?
It doesn't work on grey hair.
Is it safe for someone who have a lot of beauty marks?
What about tattoos? I know you can’t get laser hair removal on areas that are tatted.
Can i use it where the sun dont shine?
Can’t find them anywhere. Looks like they don’t deliver to Europe) so I chose something I can buy here
So I tried laser hair removal on my chin back 25 ish years ago. Something like 12 in office treatments and a TON of money. It didn’t work and did absolutely nothing to lighten the hair or decrease the hair growth. I’m sure it’s come a long at since then but I’ve been too hesitant to put money towards trying it again. Even with the idea of paying hundreds instead of thousands I haven’t been able to talk myself into trying it. Has anyone tried both and had better results? How does one t feel compared with the old treatments… does it still leave your skin burned and raw for a day or two?
Tech improves quickly lmao. Try it again.
I have a doubt... After the hair treatment , what do you guys do with that device??
I can't afford this in this life 🤣
How does it work??
Does it work for black skin?
Does it work in EU?
That’s actually pretty cool
Doc can you please tell me for guy removal for ball
Are you the guy from squid game
I think I will just stick to my $35 ipl machine that does my entire body from head to toe in 1.5 hrs, thanks :)
Does it hurt?
Love this, but what do you do with it when you're done and have no hair left? 😅 also can't afford it 😭
Sell it
I'd love one but that's so out of my budget
Dr. Youn, does it work for African American people?
Blessings From Texas 🤠
Not recommended for darker skins
How well would it work on red hair against fair skin? I’ve heard most of the divorces out right now won’t work well on red hair
😂 devices, although I don't think divorce would sit well with a ginger either.
Wish these things would work for red hair 🤷🏼♀️
Does it work for blondes?
Nothing works for darker skin or light or white hair. Why haven’t the technology for at home hair removal been updated to include everyone?
Natural is beautiful
Unfortunately my pcos lady beard and mustache say otherwise 😂 I'll willingly go full natural everywhere else, but if I leave the beard too long is also makes my face itchy and acne prone 😂
Its shush a great thing i will need it som day to buy it
Promo code not working on Amazon 😢
Does it work with light blonde hair?
Nope
Is it expensive tho
If men can use this product on face like removing beard? In the instruction book said cannot use on face for Men. Im confused
i don't see why it couldn't be used on a man's face ? just make sure to avoid eyes and wear proper safety glasses, as the flash can blind you.
...I need to save up.
How can I get this in India?
But does it work..... everywhere??? 😮
does it work on blonde hair?
Nope
As far as I know, no it doesn’t. IPL light targets the dark color. So the ideal candidate must have dark hair and light skin. That is my case and it works perfectly for me. My IPL device is a different brand also.
I need to know this also. The last I heard, laser hair removal equipment does not work on blonde hair. 😞
Isn't the only way to permanently remove hair using electrolysis?
Is it balls friendly. 🤣🤣
Does it erase tattoos if I try to get rid of some hairs?
it probably wouldn’t completely erase them but would maybe distort/damage them a little
Do not use this on tattoos.
I got one thats green it did not work. I tried it once i will gives it 2 more tries and then thats it. I have dark skin and course hair to.
If FDA approved it, use at your own risk. Lol😂😂😂😂
Can you use it on tattooed skin?
My understanding is that it detects pigment. If you go over your tattoos, it will cause a burn. I'll just say, I have one and I'll be avoiding mine.
Whete can I find a non sponsored video about Ulike?
seemingly none to be found. Ulike markets like crazy. they even go as far as posting fake positive reviews on Reddit and such.
I wish I could afford it.
Does it work if we have tattoo
It will burn your skin if you have a tattoo, since the IPL light targets the dark color.
