Something I've gleaned lately through reading the story of the Israelites in Exodus 1-2 (and experiences in my own life): God often answers prayers in a way we totally would not expect, but He knows the best way to accomplish His purposes 🤍 share something you've gleaned lately below - whether it be an encouragement or a piece of spinach in your tooth!

This is a good reminder to not only read the Bible for inspiration, but also for direction and correction. I would also add to be sure to read the Bible in the proper context and not take bits and pieces to fit what and where you want it to fit. That is something I’ve focused on within the past year and it’s made a huge difference. I’m currently reading the book of Judges. So many good takeaways from that book. 1. God allowed for questioning (I know many people were taught that you shouldn’t question God, but there are many instances in the Bible where people questioned/wrestled with God). 2. God’s grace and mercy are truly renewable each day. There were many times where the Israelites sinned and ignored God, but God still gave them a way out of their misery each time. 3. God uses anyone for His purpose. 4. His strength is made perfect in our weakness. God knows what we are capable of in our own strength and if we just exercise our faith and trust in Him, He handles the rest. 5. Everything doesn’t have to be a big production for others to see. Some things are perfect just between you and God. Even if you’re too afraid to do it in the light, God still sees that you were faithful in the dark. I could go on and on. Such a good book.

Yes, my answer is yes. I just got back from a therapy session, and I was literally talking about me choosing to learn more about God (I came to faith slowly this year and still feel like I can't even call myself a Christian yet because I'm very much so learning). I'm slowly but learning to go to God because learning about his love makes me very happy. Literally when my counselor told me to talk about my journey, I noticed that I started smiling and feeling really happy that I was talking about God with another person. It is a battle for me to brake old habits that don't serve me nor God, but I want to be closer to God because I love him. Not sure if my rambling makes sense but your videos always encourage me to learn more

It makes so much sense, I love hearing your story, you are doing something that I am fighting that is talking to others in general, bur specially about God, is cause I am a really shy person 😅
Is so lovely reading this, but let me tell you that God called you, thanks to him you want to learn about him, because we, as humans, our nature, our flesh is not good and wants to sin
We have to always fight with prayers and reading the Bible, and with others the temptations (Ex. Matthew 26:41)
Hope you persevere with the desire to be close to Him 💕💕💕
I am new too!!! So it was really wonderful reading your testimony, hope what I wrote helped you and you can understand because english is not my first language 😂😅

I definitely need to be more consistent about reading the bible. Not when I get the time to, or when I feel like it. But always. Every single day. A chapter a day, at the very least. Am currently reading the book of Leviticus.
Thank you for your message Kaci.

Yes yes yes! I was reading the same scripture today in my quiet time. But I have it the other way around. My default is to look for the spinach in my tooth and tend to forget to use the scripture as encouragement😅
And yes this was encouraging. Thank you Kaci.

Yes 1000x over about marriage not being about happiness!! It's a blessing that we may be happy in marriage, but it's a covenant with the Lord and it's a binding promise. Such a beautiful thing to serve the Lord our God alongside of our husbands while being in true happiness!

I just finished your James bible study. The way I did was to read the chapter first to see what I got from it, then I would watch your video to see what you got and if it aligned. It was so encouraging and really helps me in being more consistent in my quiet time cause I look forward to what will I learn next. I am starting your Phillipians series next :-)
Thanks so much for your heart and sharing. It is so encouraging.

It was this for me, "When God does convict us through His word, He doesn't convict us to tell us we're not good enough, that's not conviction, that is condemnation. Condemnation isn't from God, it's from the enemy and condemnation keeps us trapped and paralyzed in guilt, but rather conviction from God leads to freedom. It's almost a sigh of relief in knowing that we can be freed from our sin, freed from our self-serving tendencies and it shows us that there is a better way of life that He has called us to. God designed life and when we live it in the way that He has called us to, we experience it in the best way that we possibly can." Amen 🙏🏾 💖

A tip if you are new to the Bible or don't feel like reading. Something I found that helps me is reading along to an audio book (I personaly put it on 1.5x speed). That way I can see the big picture and stay focused while reading. Once I'm done reading a few chapters or book in the Bible I study it in more detail. I used to read it all by myself, but it just made me think of all the chapters I still needed to read and just made me want to quit for the day, but when I was reading along I had to keep up the pace. Time flies that way and before I knew it I almost finished the entire book of Daniel lol.

Something I’ve gleaned lately through reading the books of the minor prophets is that God can change his mind. I had been convicted about my own life and choices. I am not always faithful in every decision I make. Sometimes I know I should choose God’s way but I choose my way instead and it’s disobedience even if I have excuses for why I’m choosing my way (seems less painful or easier). But from reading Hosea-Malachi, I’m learning that even in our disobedience God stays faithful. He convicts and cries out for us in love. He does not delight in watching us receive consequences because he has to be just in our disobedience. I had been feeling odd but at the end of this video you even said that God convicts in love and that helps me to know that I am never far from Him and it makes it easier to know that He is calling me to Him in love and not in anger or chastisement. 🤍

    I haven't had a particular study
But I did a bit of contentment
And I realized true contentment doesn't come from material things but from the sufficiency of God.... I mean having God is basically all I need(I need to realize that cuz lately I've been hooked and I lean on money)
You could pray for me too on that!
    Thanks K! 🤍
