☀️ sketchbook diaries: drawing Studio Ghibli scenes + trying out Paul Rubens haiYa oil pastels 🌿

It’s been such a long time since I last sat down and filmed an art video…and I missed it soooo much! I’ve been procrastinating on filming and editing also takes a long time hence why we haven’t been able to upload frequently for quite a long time but miy and I are definitely planning to make a comeback and be consistent with uploads because producing videos is such a joy for us 🥺
Anyways, moving on to the topic of todays video which is a sketchbook diariiiiies and with one of my favourite movies from Studio Ghibli as a reference 🥰 I gave too many hints in the intro already but can you guess to which Ghibli movie the scene belongs to?
I used the beautiful oil pastels from Paul Rubens which were kindly sent to me by the Arrtx team and was in awe all the time when using them because of their good quality! These pastels are one of the best I’ve ever tried out so far and I can tell that these belong to my all-time favourites for sure 🤍 they’re smooth and sooo soft and creamy and have such a good coverage, a good color range and have a design that is so comfortable to hold. I used my hands to blend the colours together and it ended up looking so nice 🌿 they’re also very affordable which is especially good for beginners that would like to give a try to oil pastels but I would recommend them to experts too as these are just too good not to miss out on 🙌🏻

I'm so disappointed that your videos haven't been getting many views lately 😞. It's not your fault at all (your videos are still as charming as ever) but I think the UA-cam algorithm hasn't been treating you two well. I think if more people were given the chance to click on your videos, they absolutely would and that they would stick to the end and watch your videos in their entirety. I know it can be discouraging but keep going! You can do it ❤(from an airie) !

Your use of color is incredible! I always loved using oil pastels in art class but I would end up muddying the colors too much that nothing quite turned out the way I wanted it to, but this is making me want to break out my old set again!

That sucks if true, but if both are painting a studio ghibli illustration then it isn't original in the first place so it might not even be intentional...
