It makes sense for the 2nd and 3rd coasters closest to the entrance (Comet and Skyrush) to have restraints that work for every rider. Improving rider comfort seems to be a trend at Hersheypark and I have a feeling Lightning Racer will be the next to get something.

After these upgrades not only would it no longer be thighcrush but I will say it will also not be thought of as one of the most polarizing coasters.

IT’S ABOUT TIME!! Hershey really needed to do this, you do not understand how much I HATED the old restraints. Literally could not enjoy this ride because of how painful they were. Thank you Hershey 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Im so happy for this, as a bigger guy, the old restraints sucked. It ranks No. 20 now, i expect it to be in my top 12. I could not ride in a wing seat cause it was so brutal. If i had to base its previous ranking off the wing seat rides i got. Its a top 25 worst coaster for me. After getting middle seat rides it shot way up my rankings. But now i can finally get wing seat rides and not get my thighs crushed.

The restraints don’t bother me at all, but I can understand why it’s nicknamed “thigh crush” It’s my favorite roller coaster ever so it could be better than it already was🤩💛🎢
