I think the next 10 years with Hershey, Great Adventure, and Dorney is gonna be awesome and potentially bring back a coaster war. Cedar Fair already has a 10 year plan for Dorney to bring them up to a tier 1 park. Now with the potential Great Adventure/Dorney season pass they will be looking to steal some of the market back from Hershey which should hopefully bring back a competitive coaster war. Dorney apparently has 2 more coasters in their 10 year plan on top of Iron Menace, 1 being a kid coaster and another large scale coaster, I also believe they are in talks to have an S&S screaming swing potentially coming in the next two years so Hershey would have to jump on that now if they want it. Great Adventure has more coasters in the works as well I am sure which would really make that region a coaster mecca. I do see Hershey getting a large scale launched B&M wing coaster because I know they had a B&M dive coaster in their pipeline but Dorney did it so going forward with a wing instead would actually suit the park perfectly.
Idk if Dorney is actually gonna be a tier 1 park, that sounds like a lot of investment, especially when they're only getting a mini dive now and not a large one
@@thebabbynick1543 Iron Menace isn’t that mini it’s the biggest of the smaller ones but it is also a test. They don’t want to make such a large scale coaster initially incase they don’t see the return. So they made it a decent size and re themed that entire area of the park for the cost of a large scale dive. I honestly think it was the better decision. If it does well then they can go big on the next coaster.
Rich is the smartest nicest guy I know! I's love to see a really good dark ride. I love the Ghostwood Estate Haunted House at Kennywood. It would be fun to make a killer, scary dark ride
I generally think the plan you outline makes sense. Lightning Racer needs TLC, and they could use one medium to high capacity family coaster. I also agree that expanding the water park makes a lot of sense. Space is an issue going forward, so they should be very judicious with the space they have. I'm not sure if a major flat ride is the best choice, but I'm generally biased against flats. I'm basically located between King's Dominion and HersheyPark, and I choose Hershey 9 out of 10 times. Flat rides aren't an enticing draw. I would rather have more indoor entertainment. I also agree that they should take their time with the next major coaster. I'm not certain a tilt coaster is the answer, but I agree it should be something very unique to the region or even the country.
I think they could get another coaster for chocolate town, maybe a dive, got like 3 golf courses they could use, maybe a boardwalk expansion, and some flat rides, Mays some retheeming like they did with sidewinder, maybe change skyrush to sugar rush and paint the track pink with blue supports, or maybe even a kiddie boomerang by candy but I don’t th8s they’re touching lightning racer, and I think they’re gonna keep hersheypark stadium, they have concerts there, and I played a hockey game there once
I think you meant Hersheypark Arena, not Hersheypark Stadium and no it's not going anywhere. Lebanon Valley College uses it and the USPHL has a team called the Cubs, with a second one coming.
@randomtraveler9854 you’re 💯 correct I also found out it’s historical landmark as well so no it’s not going anywhere so hopefully they at least restore it.
Two things, Let’s just say the rush statement may or not be true 🤫 👀 but with the arena they can’t tear the building down it’s a historical society building and it’s home to a lot of stuff
I had no idea I’ve heard others say that they didn’t think it would be around much longer I know they use it for High school sports but that’s crazy I’m pretty sure they can still do whatever they want to it but probably not if that’s the case
@@lauraalbertson 100% can promise you it’s not going anywhere the only thing they can do with that facility is update it but by standards of the society of course!
@@ThemeParkMotivation I mean it all depends on the society rules and regulations for that to ever happen for the time being in my lifetime I have no doubt it’s not going anywhere since it’s home to Hershey’s figuring skating club, the hershey bears, the hershey cubs (USPHL team), both LVC women and men’s ice hockey clubs, public skate, and a whole a lot of other rentals beyond high school hockey that takes place inside the building. I’d also like to add that the ride department and a few others departments use this as the home of their offices including the ice palace which is attached to the arena! Which rn is mainly used for storage and the makeup area for dark nights
Take down the built but it there Add more dark rides Bring back Reeses cupcfusion and kali river rapids and fixed comment and Lightning racer 2024 Give away kiddy rides. Ditch. Wonderland and Knoebels and Hershey more for adults ok make more family rides that’s Hershey should do a new track for tidal force give away wild Mouse Spin teacups yeah, bring back ditch Village and keep ticket Booth from today and haunted mansion dark ride give away dark nights and bring back funnely Hershey park at night ok

Yeah possibly a record breaking wing coaster would be nice
