oh man! I'm originally from NorCal (living in Europe now), and seeing those rolling green hills of the delta/east bay just gives me all the feels. Good luck on your first pair of pointe shoes, I remember my first time I think I tried on 7 pairs and 3 different brands till I found the ones that felt "ok", lol

Gaynors are really the only ones that are a no-go for beginners. My class was a large mix between Nikolay, Freeds, Russian Pointe, and Capezio when we got new shoes

@@sage273 never tried Gaynors so I don't know, but I suppose one of the reasons could be that they're crazy expensive compared to any other brand lol

they are quite a bit more expensive, but last a long long time. i had my gaynors for about 8 months, so in the end they are cheaper than traditional shoes as they last longer.

U went to Josephine the point shop u did a good job am a ballerina dancing with point shoes so I recommend u go to Josephine she does the best fitting ever she also gives out tips if ur new to point shoes
