- Hello Balanced Ballerinas and welcome back to my channel! Today I'm sharing with you a little trip to Brisbane (that was almost ruined by covid!) with some of my younger ballet students.
Every year I take my next generation of pointe students to a pointe shoe fitting before enjoying high tea with their mothers. I love celebrating this momentous occasion with my beautiful ballerinas!

This is such a special day you’ve created for your students. My most special memories as a dance studio student were the ones outside of the dance studio with my dance teacher and my classmates (who were my absolute best friends), sharing times like this too. We didn’t have pointe shoe fittings outings, but my dance teacher always organised dinners and ballet camps.
Your students will cherish these moments forever.

I'm so excited and nervous to get my pointe shoes. These videos helped alot with confidence (I have flat feet) and helped me realized how amazing this is going to be 😃❤ thank you!

lovely video! I was just wondering what grade you decided that your students were ready for pointe just to get an idea of when I will be ready! 🤎🤎
Hi Evie! It really depends on each individual student. Around the age of 12-13 years I send them off for a pre-pointe evaluation with a physiotherapist and only once they get the tick of approval can they go en pointe. This particular group worked towards their physio assessments and the tick of approval for 6 months! Good luck! G x
