It's beautiful in that part of Turkey. That sky is so blue. Family friendly. It is a shock to the system to be in a different place. It's a nice calm place. I live in Arizona and have been to Turkey twice. My husband's family lives there. It is an incredibly beautiful country. The ancient and modern come together in a very beautiful way.

I'm Canadian, a Veteran of our military who has been in combat (I was an Airborne Sniper) and I tell you this because I see how bad the world has become. I grew up in the 60's & early 70's and we thought the worst was behind us, little did we know! You are so right, a few weeks ago you said " governments want you to be afraid". I'm not angry that you are right, I'm angry that you were forced to leave your homeland to find peace & be happy. Canada has become a dictatorship & I am angry that I also feel I need to leave my homeland but, where is any different? I sincerely hope you & your small family find that peace. I am at the age where I will lose more than I gain & I'm ok with that, just want my remaining years to be peaceful. I lost my beautiful wife 4 years ago, my world came to end that day, I don't want to spend the rest of life miserable fighting for mine & the rights of freedoms of others but perhaps that what was meant for me to do? I have no answers, just happy to know good people like you and your Suzie & little one are safe and happy and healthy. I also grew up in 60's and 70's in Texas, USA, and I graduated High school in 76. Just after the government pulled our people out of the Vietnam war. It was a sad time in the US, but we hung on and grew from the struggles. All we can do is pull ourselves back up and enjoy the time we have left on this planet! So happy you are in Turkey! and in a small family friendly town! It's nice and warm! Not complaining but it's cold in Berkeley California right now. Love the fruit trees orange and pomegranate and the big palms.Your sound and picture are excellent! You are NATURALLY IN SHOCK, who would not be? Everything is so different! Where you are seems very tropical and warm. That plant you just passed is Schefflera arboricola, and I have one.All the trees, plants and flowers are so happy! Suzi loves the town surrounded by mountains, with 2mgb/second, very poor internet. The mountains are the reason for the slow internet, and why the town is so calm and peaceful. Better you don't spend time editing and just upload as is. You can eat the leaves of that prickly pear cactus, it's very good for you. I agree about the vandalism - vandals. Love the sturdy way Sati walks.18:30 that plant is pittosporum. 19:50 on right is sago palm. Sati, thank you for hugging our tree friends-family! The water is so clear and clean! There are sharks??? There is no way I could travel and get your personal & unique viewpoint (way of looking at things). The western half of of the USA and the southern half have many cactus and types of cactus. Even in Keyser, West Virginia we have the same Prickly Pear that you have shown us.

Dan, I am glad you are teaching your daughter English. It will be so beneficial for her growing up. It is wonderful to be bilingual. I taught English in Eastern Europe and many of my students are living in other countries and are very successful now. English has definitely helped them in their careers.

When my dad was still with us, my parents traveled a great deal and saw much of the world including where you are now. Those large cactus can be found in many places around the world besides the American West. In Italy, it is called Fichi d’India, or Indian Fig. It is botanically known as Opuntia or more commonly as Prickly Pear Cactus. The red fruit is edible. I don’t particularly like its taste. I’ve seen it in Greece and the Balkans. And it even grows in my old garden in New Jersey, USA, where it survives freezing temperatures and snow. The world beyond each of our small microcosms is full of wonders and great diversity. Things are not always as we think they are. Welcome to the great big world!

It's amazing....I used to live in Southern California and everything looks so similar....the mountains, the bougainvillea (I assume) and the blue flowers (which were my absolute favorite!). I bet it's a very dry climate.

I am so happy to get to watch your family experiences. I remember the video of when baby Sati was born and you were so excited to finally become a father! She is growing so big already, I am amazed.
