  • Hi! My name is Dan. Special Hi to Adorables! This is a special video for me, because I shot my first video about this house, that was 4 years ago. I made repairs in that small house and I am gonna show you it. Something like this costs in Russia in the range of 200-250 dollars per month.

Proud to be one of your Adorables. I remember how excited we all were watching and waiting with you for Sati to be born. You brought tears to our eyes when we saw you get the call telling you she was born. I remember when you didn't even have your doors up in the new house. You have done a wonderful job. Thank you both for staying kind, honest, and true to who you are. You have been a light in so many of our lives.

Do yourself a favor and read the definition of "envy" and then tell me if watching trashy t.v. shows or ignorant court cases about people who do "envy" others Are not comparable to this BEAUTIFUL family, Just try to enjoy the happiness with us instead of seeing this through your warped lens of life.

I'd call a backless chair a "stool" in America. Nice job on the "guest cottage" The refrigerator might run a bit more often than needed being directly next to the radiator heating by the floor, you might want to tape a bit of heat reflective material on that side of the appliance to deflect/reflect heat from the radiator.

Here in the U.S. a guest house is usually something that a rich person has on their property. Another person commented on these being used to rent out for people who aren't rich. It could also be also be used as an in law apartment. That's an apartment for either your elderly parents or your wife/husband's elderly parents. Some people with a large enough house here convert/change part of it into a small apartment for elderly parents, too. This way they can help each other and the elderly don't have to take care of a big house. This is like you're talking about Dan with your own parents and living near each other. Living in one house with grandparents, parents, and children, used to be more common in the U.S. than it is now. My father's grandmother grew up in a house like that with one set of grandparents, a widowed grandmother, 2 sisters and her parents. It's very good for both the children and the grandparents. It keeps the old young and teaches the young to value the elderly. Oh and what a pretty gray cat!

The green, large leaf plants (some with white stripes, some with yellow), we call them Hostas (said like haw-stahs)

It has become unusual for children to live near their parents. While my parents were in their 60’s I was first in Alaska while they were in Oregon. Maybe a thousand miles away, then I married and went to live in Montana again perhaps 1000 miles. Then we moved to Frankfurt, Germany! We stayed there for 16 years, then I moved back to only 300 miles from my parents. My brothers moves around that way also. The tabulete is called a 'stool' - it is like a short chair with no back.
The corridor would be called an 'entranceway'
The whole small home is very similar to what we (in America) call an 'efficiency' apartment (though apartments are generally connected to other independent homes - many homes in one dwelling). An efficiency apartment does not have a bedroom - the living room and bedroom are the same place because there is no extra room. My sister rented an efficiency apartment in New York (Staten Island) in 2001 for $1,200.00 (twelve hundred dollars) per month. Even in more remote states your tiny home would rent for over 400 dollars per month, especially with a yard to care for ☺

I’ve been watching you a couple of years and I am always in awe of anyone who can learn to speak a second language. We English speaking people are a bit more lax in the pursuit of a second language because English is so universally used. I am so honored to be an adorable. The cottage has come so far with much work. Your home is also beautiful. I love watching your family grow and thrive because you are honest ,compassionate, and hard working. May you continue to have many blessings. We are all created as equals no matter what part of this earth we call home. Much love to Susy and Sati . You honor your parents as you reflect the values they have taught you to be a man, dutiful son, devoted husband and adoring father. You exude grace and kindness. I love how you talk so lovingly of your mom and her gardening.

I found your channel during COVID when I was isolated from most usual activities. It was so nice to learn about your life and country from an ordinary couple. I knew a lovely man who was born in Belorussia but left fled with family at age 2 during the war. He came to this country at age 10 with no English or schooling. And had cancer for 11 yrs before passing. I knew him only the last 2, found him a very special person. You're both brave to try to learn English this way. I felt like a grandmother [great-grandmother] waiting for your baby girl to be born. I'm too old to have hope of meeting you all in person one day, but you are special to me.

You decided we would be your ADORABLES and let me tell you we love it !! I feel blessed to have been with you for so long and shared in the pregnancy and birth of Sati. I love the little house, I remember when you lived there. You remind me of my dad. When I was a little girl in the 1960s we lived in a temporary house and my dad built the new house almost all alone, and he paid for things as he could, so that he had very little debt for the new house. He built in his time not at work (as a carpenter). When we moved into the new house, someone bought the temporary house and put it on wheels to move away to live in.

An adorable is a meeting of hearts, love for a family who shares their life with us. I love it when my phone tells me you have uploaded a new video.
