Good episode. I like that you are talking about the program of recovery and staying sober through the program. Alot of people stay away from talking about AA and the program - you even got the book out. Keep the episodes going it does help people. I've been sober 33 years and I got it when I was almost 20. Your story minus the NHL is the same as mine. Thank you - Josh from Florida.
The word Honest is such a key word or point when it comes to sobriety. After my 30 day rehab, I somehow convinced myself that I was going to be a social drinker, I thought after rehab I had all the tools I needed in my toolbox to manage this nasty disease…. That didn’t work .. 3-4 months after rehab, I was drunk every day for approximately 4 years. It took a month long stint in the hospital and almost dying for me to look at myself in the mirror and say. Wake the F up and be Honest with yourself. All the lies I was telling to cover up my drinking was ruining my friendships and relationships, awell as slowly killing myself. Once I started being honest with myself, my life took a 180 degree turn for the better. it trickled into my everyday world. Since I’ve been sober the positive things I have going for me greatly outweigh all the negative stuff that always seemed to be around me when I was drinking every day. Thanks for sharing Brantt 👍

Hey Jason, sounds like we've had a similar path! So cool to hear that you said you needed to wake the F-up! Glad you did
Thanks for watching

Maybe some Creed, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, and throws Nickelback in there!
