US Army Combat Veteran Reacts to Nurgle & The Nature of Chaos (40k Lore)

- The Chaos Gods are the most frightening villains of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. But is Nurgle, Slaanesh, Khorne, and Tzeetch really the bad guys of the franchise? Or are they just another neutral force vying for control of the universe along with the Imperium, Tau, Orks, Tyranids, etc.

29:34 - Nurgle is the god of love. He loves everyone, regardless of their appearance. He is the only one who always ready to share the gifts.
For the grandfather!!!
@Les bons amis I hate NTR
"Can you get sick in the warp?"
*Typhon laughs and turns off the Gellar fields*
The “does nurgle like radiation” question is a good one. The dusk raiders (death guard before corruption) were huge fans of rad rounds, partially because they were the only ones tough enough to make regular use of them without getting poisoned and dying.
Radiation isn’t biological and it kills micro organisms, so it would make sense that the grandfather might be against it. But he also revels in despair, so he might enjoy someone suffering from radiation poisoning, and it might drive them into his embrace because he can offer relief. In the end the warp is about our emotions reflecting back, so I’m going to say that he prefers biological means, but he will still make use of non pathological poisonings also.
Another point, he is a god of entropy and decay as much as life and death. Rust and industrial waste is even one of his motifs. Radiation is the decay of particles. Stars decay into radiation also. In a way radiation is the original bringer of life and also where it will all end up. So, yeah, I def think nurgle is down with radiation.
Agreed with your interpretation Xavier and I even made my Death Guard army based around radiation and made their wounds that were sculpted on the model to look more burnt rather than slimy. For what its worth, this was just the set given in the Dark Imperium box set and I've just mildly expanded it but I think its a fun concept
The gods don't really care about the black crusades all that much. Its mainly Abbadon organizing them. The gods rarely, if ever, directly intervene in mortal affairs unless its their champions or some other notable figure.
The chaos gods all bow before the true power of the immaterium.....laziness
@@CombatVeteranReacts its less laziness and more prioritisation. The chaos gods have wild ridiculous powers while inside the warp, plus warp is weak to warp(just like dragon types in pokemon) so the danger they pose to each other is so high and imminent its not worth dedicating too much attention to real space because the imperium only benefit is to create mortals to suffer, which both the imperium already does well by itself and isn't rare since chaos as can feed from morals across the universe, different dimensions and time; not just the milky way galaxy.
Think of it like this, imagine a younger you in the octagon fighting a guy who is your combat equal. When you are 4 rounds deep with this guy, you are probably not going to be worried about fixing your hair or making yourself look good for any pictures being taken, because you know afew moments of loss focus is all that other guy needs to knock you out, or take you to the ground etc. The chaos gods are in the same spot in the warp, the second they decide to focus on real space too much the second their rivals will get at an upper hand.
I also think that they prefer to focus on the warp as well tbf, the chaos gods seem to really hate each other but are pretty indifferent to welcoming of humans that want to join in thier cause. And theres also something to be said about it just being more exiciting to fight a war in a space where you are a literal god who isnt bound by any kind of logic vs fighting wars where you have to care about real space things.
@@CombatVeteranReacts But laziness is undoubtedly an aspect of Nurgle. And there you have the most powerful of the Chaos gods. While the others fight, grow stronger, get crippled again rinse and repeat, Nurgle endures.
Yes, a person can get sick in the warp cause they are still physical beginnings but just in the warp. And nurgel is in the warp so the grandfather of plagues is there and he can even infect other daemons with his plagues
That's a powerful plauge
@@CombatVeteranReacts it is. Fun fact kugath nugrgals greateds demon acidentally comsumed a plauge that was by defination so powerful nurgale was unsure what would happen to himself if he unleashed it
15:56 Your misunderstanding the factions here. Chaos and chaos space marines are aligned but not 100% the same faction. Abaddon like horus isn't actually subservient to the chaos gods even though he has received various boons and blessings from them. So his black crusades are his own campaigns against the imperium, he isn't instructed to do so by chaos in its entirety. Moreover most of the military action in real space from chaos factions, weren't actually centrally planned attacks from what ever chaos god, they are almost always chaos space marines, primarchs or some times individual demons using thier own initiative their achieve own ends.
The gods don't even really like Abbadon because he refuses to pledge allegiance to any single god which pisses them off. However he is the only one on the side of chaos who really gives a shit about taking the fight to the imperium and has the charisma and power to unite the legions so if the gods take away their powers from him then they will most likely be shoved back into the crapholes they came from and the imperium will have some breathing room
11:20 interestingly enough, Orks actually had some form of peace treaty with humans during the Dark Age of Technology. Goes to show how advanced humans actually got during their prime, when even the Orks lost interest fighting them.
10:55 its not really reckless. The vast majority of the imperium just literally don't know because knowledge of chaos leads to more people worshiping it which would make everything 10x worse.
The warp is chaotic because every thought, feeling and metaphore becomes real in the warp, and all of these contradictory and paradoxical "ideas" is what makes the warp chaotic.
For example, one person loves fluffy bunnies, one person hates fluffy bunnies, they are both equaly valid in the warp, now add this to every living thing in a galaxy.... and well you get chaos.
8:43 actually that's the primarch ferrus manus of the iron hands legion right before he was decapitated by his brother the lord of the 3rd fulgrim
Thanks for the spoilers
@@blefyplayswowable that part been out for years, not really spoilers
@@spartana1116 not how you define a spoiler, but ok 😄
There is a warpborn sickness where a person's flesh will become increasingly soft and absorbant until they literally fuse with what they were in contact with that the time. Often this means becoming one with the bed or wall or whatnot and this doesn't kill them. They just become less and less mobile and more and more fused until they starve to death.
The pipe wrench guy is actually the loyalist Primarch of the Iron Hands formally known as Ferrus Manus. Him and Fulgrim were two of the closest Primarchs too the point that they had a weapon building contest to see who could make the best weapon in which Fulgrim made a magnificent thunder hammer and Ferrus made a amazing power sword.
When finished they both claimed the others weapon to be the superior and decided to gift each other the weapons. In the battle that is pictured Fulgrim is possessed by an alien blade and in the fight he beheads Ferrus Manus. As per the wrench I have no real idea and I’ve seen a lot of people poke fun at it. In the end it just comes down to that the artist decided to draw that for who knows what reason.
So about the 'Chaos Space Marine' with the pipe wrench... That's Ferrus Manus, Primarch of the Iron Hands. And that wrench he's carrying? In his hands, it might as well be a wrecking ball, because Ferrus had some incredible strength, even by Primarch standards. How strong was he? Ferrus forged a power sword for his brother Fulgrim, because they were good friends once upon a time. When they fought at Istavaan, Ferrus flew into a rage, grabbed the sword by the blade with his bare hands(power swords cut by using force field technology to separate matter on a molecular level by the way), and broke it. The result? The power field in the sword became unstable, exploded, and blasted both Primarchs away.
It should also be noted that Ferrus was a prodigious mechanic that favored the use of vehicles and heavy armor, and he's standing near a tank, so he might very well be working on the treads of a tank or somethi mid-battle.
Another interesting example of a Primarch using a mundane weapon with superhuman proficiency was Konrad Curze and his Widowmakers, which were a set of throwing knives. That's it. Just sharp pieces of metal. No power field, no explosives, no chainsaw blades, no psychic bullshit; just a piece of high quality metal sharpened into a point with an edge. Konrad was extremely fond of using his Widowmakers, because he could throw them hard enough, fast enough, and accurately enough to pierce through the eye slits of a Spaces Marine's helmet, and he could apply that same deadly accuracy to wound and cripple a target in complete silence while staying on the move.
I think the black crusades aren't really an action of chaos, but more specifically of Abaddon, who is sort of a force unto himself. As far as I know Abaddon and chaos aren't linked together in the way that say a demon primarch would be, they just share a mutually beneficial relationship at the moment, and as soon as Abaddon killed the emperor and doesn't need chaos for power anymore, I bet he would turn his blades on the dark gods.
Even during the heresy Horus Lupercal struggled to get the other traitor legions pulling in the same direction. And they were far more regimented and organised. In 40k for Abbadon its like herding cats
15:01 - "No the toaster doesn't have a feeling, it doesn't get finicky one day..."
The Adeptus Mechanicus would like to know your location.
Nurgle is unironically the most wholesome being in 40k. He wholeheartedly love his followers and sees his plagues as genuine gifts and rewards. he doesn't hate you, he is literally spreading his love into you.
Single celled organisms can get diseases, bacteria can be targeted by smaller bacteria and viruses.
From what I understand, radiation would probably not jive well with nurgle, since he is also the god of nature and new life. Nurgle doesn't see his diseases as something that ends life, but expands and changes it.
Also, I would enjoy seeing you react to Malal/Malice. Both Lutin and Majorkill have videos on him.
"Our toaster is kind of finicky today but its like 'no the toaster doesn't have any feeling and get kind of finicky one day'". Now try saying that to a Skitarii.
If you want to progress onto Luetin's other videos on the nature of the Warp, beware he delves into the heavy world of Temporal Mechanics, I had to stop and start with lengthy spaces of time in between parts of those videos, just to wrap my head around the various concepts. The Series is called DARK ORIGINS: Chaos, Time & the Warp. I'd also look at one of his earlier videos "The Rise and Fall of the Eldar" who are the reason why the warp is so F***** up.
That space marine with the pipe wrench wasnt just any old space marine, that was the man the myth the legend Ferrus Manus, Primarch of the Iron hands. That pipe wrench was his weapon of choice because he is a weird nerd with weird obsessions. He also was best bros with Fulgrim and took it veeeery personally when Fulgrim tried to convince him to join chaos.
fun fact: THe forces of chaos don't want to destroy all life.
It is complicated, but due to how the warp works, feeding on emotions from the real world, does that mean that if every sentient life dies in the galaxy.. the warp will essentially starve.
That's an interesting take actually
The way I understood it was, they wanted to enslave humanity and if they were to gain such complete control, the only way starve chaos would be to end humankind as there is not really any suitable replacement to feed them.
@@ahmataevoThat's kind of my sons goals, make the entire galaxy worship chaos
If I remember the eldar pantheon lore right, isha was the chaos god of life and healing and love, and when slaanesh had its birth/murder/rape rampage through eldar space, isha got caught by nurgle and is currently being used to test future nurgle diseases. Cause she can't die from disease... and all the chaos gods are, is a collective reflection of mortal emotions and habits, with semi sapience. They are sapient enough to know how to manipulate others into feeding them so they exist forever, but not much beyond that.
Bacteria can suffer from diseases as well: bacteriophages. Viruses can infect bacteria for reproduction. Some viruses can even "infect" other viruses by piggybacking them until the host virus reaches a cell and then the infecting virus hijacks the process of reproduction from the host virus.
15:40 That's not the Chaos's Gods choice but Abaddon's and the Chaos forces. The Chaos Gods aren't leaders or generals directing their armies... they're chaos, literally. Their forces often do their own things, and ask the gods for gifts or favors during the crusades
In the series Berserk, there is a god in the astral realm called the Idea of Evil. It was formed from the human race's desire and need for there to be a meaning behind all the evil, iniquity and misfortunes that ruin and end so many lives. And it performs its function with extreme dedication.
A nurglite plague on a germ, i can only imagine it would be papa nurgle's warp modifications, on it, he does have that cauldron.
Demons to some, angels to others. Nice Hellraiser reference.
Example of how decay can be a positive:
In the game Stellaris there is a world with no current life, but a plethora of long exinct fossilized creatures.
When the life on this planet died all the vital minerals were forever trapped by the fossilization process.
Since those vital minerals could not be returned to the environment, they could not be utilized by other life later on.
Through lack of decay, the base materials needed to grow new life dwindled to levels insufficient to allow anything to live and grow.
Without the loving Grandfather's gift of Sacred Rot, that planet became a lifeless dead world.
If you get in the Warp you don't actually get sick. You are more likely to get depressed, mad or distraught. It is discribed as a feeling of being observed and in constant danger. Also is very likely that in the warp a some are going to commit suicide or mureder other people. Also your dreams are corrupted by the territory where you: E.g. In the terytory of Tzeech there are demons in every corner you look. Also the ship feels like a flying coffin because every window is shut and everythink seems to break apart in the next second. And as a bonus when the Gellerfield is inactive for half a second the ship is destroyed. And if the Gellerfield is inactive for a millisecond and the ship has a solid military force it it very likely that only half of the crew will survive the incoming demonic invasion and after that you have to purge the ship of those who saw the warp because they go crazy and become paralyzed or bloodthirsty and want to kill everrything. Also it is very likely that your navigators and psiker are being possesed and summon more demons on the ship.
5:05
a lot of the people fallen to nurgle are fully aware of how their body is rotting and how they appear
but the pain stopped, and they have found new joys in life
they simply dont care about petty things like their appearance and smell because the hell they were in is over
nurgle doesnt need deception for most of its followers, the contrast of what it saved them from and the joy of their second chance makes it unnecessary
He's ferrus manus iron hand primarch he's like a tech expert hence his magical spanner....he's the guy who lost his head to his brother fulgrim
Paul, do you have a favorite faction? If you started collecting an army which would you chose?
''He has his own Daemons, sorry Saints.''
Inquusitor: ,,You Heretic!''
I probably have more of a Khornate vibe; but if I’m damned to an eternity of writhing agony in the Warp, Papa Nurgle’s *generosity* is worth having to wear XXXXXX-strong deodorant.
@Les bons amis if we count Mork’n’Gork (or Gork’n’Mork) as Chaos Gods, they’re my #1 pick - those ladz know wut toim it iz: KRUMPIN TOIM!
They know how to have fun, too!
we need to remember that nurgle like the other big 3 rely on emotion to survive and thrive. pestilence and decay doesnt mean much if it isnt affecting a poor schmuck nearby in HIS intended way. If the plague infect a population, but they remain defiant of their fate until the end, that was a wasted effort/energy/time back there.
while the 4 chaos god can represent positive aspect of life, those are not what they feed on per see, those are mostly entry point into your mind/reasoning. Army fighting one another but being satisfied when the other surrender will not feed Khorn. Someone that want to progress and advance himself and his community without toppling the establish order will not feed Tzeech. Population suffering plague and decease but not letting themselves to despair, but rather fighting it to the bitter end might not feed nurgul and people enjoying themselves without falling to debauchery and excess will not feed slaanesh... the gods do not feed on human emotion, they feed on extreme human emotions.
hmmm, wich one is the god of abusing your spouse... WHY NOT LEAVE YOUR OPINION IN THE COMMENTS!!!
You should see the most famous fan created space marine chapter, the Angry Marines. They wield power wrenches, power bats, power nail boards, power middle fingers, power boots and vehicle and shoulder mounted marine launchers. There are a whole bunch of odd fan created chapters that embrace the silliness and/or lunacy of the setting.
8:47 thats actual the iron hands primarch ferrus manus. I think in the updated lore his weapon was supposed to be him wielding a 2h power hammer but that is old art so they have him use a power wrench hammer because it fits the theme of the iron hands heavy use or technology.
In terms of the Chaos Gods I consider them analogous to tumors, they are essentially elements and emotions within the warp that have begun attempting to grow out of control to the detriment of the live that is connected to it. They are essentially the result of specific things in the warp that grew too large without a proper control system that are now snapping up power and godly domains wherever they can in order to grow.
Since while we make a big deal about Chaos being well....chaotic it's actually incredibly predictable with why it does anything. Chaos, or really any warp entity connected to the Chaos gods, wants to grow and make more of itself. It happens every time like clockwork, even if the growth really won't help it, it is why I compare them to malignant tumors that are growing unchecked.
While you can't kill them in a traditional sense I'd imagine that you can weaken them and then eventually cut them out of their domains in the warp, maybe splitting those domains into their component parts and letting smaller entities snap up those individual sources of power. It's sort of what the Emperor was trying to do, he basically was doing chemotherapy to the Chaos Gods through his Imperial Truth which was diminishing their power and I believe he eventually planned to remove the tumors once they were weak or small enough.
11:10 yes Inquisitor, that video over here =][=
CoViD symtom seems to be the urge to travel, given how it spread literally everywhere.
Khorne gets power even through the regular killing of cattle in slaughterhouses and petty crime, probably to a much larger degree than the comparatively rare wars between Empire and Eldar.
But the Chaos sure has their ways of increasing the bodycount.
So much heresy in this pict-feed ... someone should call an Inquisitor ...
Nice one as always ..
26:40 Also Khorne is in a certain way appealing to humans too. We love the power of bloodshed
Can a Khorne marine get a case of the sniffles?
Now I have a picture in my head of a Khorne berzerker presenting a note from his mother that says he can't take part in the long war against the Imperium because he has a cold.
I swear this is such an excellent magic system and rules for a fantasy universe, I absolutely hate how GW has watered it all down and bacterized it into a convent piss weak villan of the week generator.
The amount of mind breaking lore squeezing philosophy inducing questions this man makes is just beautiful!
No war. No sickness. No pleasure. No self advancement. Wtf
It’s very interesting that nurgle is the closest to entropy which chaos has been equated to
11:00 Here is one of the many examples of you working in good true American civic ethics in to 40k commentary. You're performing a real public service here. Best of UA-cam. I'd have you teach my kids Civics any day, sir, thank you.
The mental state of the followers of nurgle is described very well in the book "The Lords of Silence". In the book it is described that the older members of the Deathguard don't really feel hate anymore, they feel for the most time melancholic contempt.
When he dissed ferrus manus wrench
*Sad iron hand noises
THAT SPACE MARINE ISN'T A SPACE MARINE THAT'S A PRIMARCH FERRUS MANUS JUST BEFORE HE LOST'S HIS HEAD.
It's actually debatable whether or not viruses count as life, particularly since they most likely evolved from individual cells.
Imagine if you say had a fungus growing on you feeding off your very life imagine one night whilst you’re sleeping in your shack and as the bristles of the fungus irritates your skin and you can feel everything that’s going as well as the excruciating pain and discomfort you’re in, would you seek release or relief? When you are shunned by society and your very family because of a fungal infection you had no control over.
There is difference between a ball of rage energy/emotion flowing through the warp, and Korn. One would simply be a force in warp, the other is a an entity with plans, champions and agency.
This is why the Emperor's imperial truth was an existential threat to the chaos gods. The fundamental driving emotions that make up the chaos would always exist but with no one preforming a in the name of Slaanesh, the being with agency withers into nothing.
P.S. if you want a see good film accidently about 40k and the chaos gods go watch Event Horizon 1997.
Just to add in a little lore stuff, of the primarchs besides the deleted two, 4 are confirmed dead (physically cause soul yada yada). The four that are dead are the loyalist Ferrus Manus beheaded by Fulgrim, the loyalist Sanguinius killed by Horus, traitor Horus killed by The Emperor and had his soul destroyed too for good measure, and finally Konrad Curze by his own overwhelming desire to be dead which he allowed an assassin to grant him this wish.
There are a few that are rumored to be dead such as Loyalist Rogal Dorn who was I believe overwhelmed by chaos followers but all they found of him was his hand, Loyaitor Alpharius who was killed by Rogal, and Loyaitor Omegon who was killed by Robutte Gulliman. Alpharius is mostly to be assumed dead because they say that Omegon (his twin) felt his death, but Omegon is presumed alive because Robutte claimed that when he killed Omegon it seemed WAY too easy and the Alpha Legion Primarchs were known to blend in with their marines and have them pretend to be them.
Like a custodies his name grows with each...victory?
Now being a follower of Tzeentch, grandpa nurgle is always super...stagnant
It’s obvious we should not think of thinks in terms of good and bad, but through chaos and order, and for obvious reasons, too much of either will inevitably create problems, however, I would argue that order must be stronger and greater than chaos to maintain an equilibrium.
Fun thing about the chaos gods, one exists in fantasy thats missing in 40k. Malal the renagade/outcast/lost chaos god that hates the other 4. Who does that sound like?
The grand father (Nurgle) is perhaps the most caring and yet devious out of all the god even tzeentch; he will grant near immortality to any dying being, as long as they worship and accept him
Through this he spreads diseases of the flesh, mind, and even soul, corrupting and empowering any being, even tyranid SWARMS; his end all desire is simply to consume and infect EVERYTHING to bless all with his holy plagues, to create the most perfect infection/ disease/ and Ideas; his armies cannot be stopped and the branches he stretches out to create and harbor new virile despotic and disgusting life
Ah, great upload timing!
29:45 I don’t think that Guardsman is feeling any kind of love at that moment.
When it comes to chaos you have to make distinctions because it isn't a faction like the imperium for example.
Chaos as a force is more a celestial phenomenon, a instinctive intelligence given form and function but unlikely beings of the material realm they lack most forms of agencies safe for the most ancient greater daemons. The rest is just emotions and actions given form.
When it comes to chaos as in the Imperi traitors. They are mostly a lose collection of different unaligned groups who are all doing things for their own ends.
For example a black crusade is a terminology invented by the imperium. What it actually is that the black legion under abbadon are attempting to achieve a few objectives with abbadon having secured, beaten or blowjobed the assistant of several other groups who are generally pointed into a direction and then doing what ever they please.
It's less a unified effort and more a sum of its parts that makes the deal.
For instance the 12th black crusade aka the gothic war, 2qs just abbadon seeking to secure the black stone fortresses of the region with thousands of other war bands just tagging along raiding nearby worlds for ressources and personal to enslave
The only 2 times when there was something even resembling a unified force of traitors under a pose coalition of generally accepted leaders where the first and 13th black crusade .
As for chaos as a force again.
The art work is very misleading as it show cases chaos and the gods as entities of form that a mortal mind can comprehend, but simply put the gods have no real shape or form because they are fundamentally energy beings who exist in the pure energy mirror reality that is the warp/immaterium.
In the lore the closest description of a god, slaanesh, in both form and mindset we have is when a fragment of slaanesh talked the traitor marine Lieutenant Commander Fabius Bile of the 3rd Legiones Astartes
Exert of the conversation from the fabius bile trilogy:
‘And who are you then? Name yourself.’
‘I am the whetstone of desire. I am the asker of questions. I am the Quaestor.’
‘I have never heard of you.’
‘Of course you have,’ the Quaestor said. ‘We have met many times. And will meet again, before the last sun sets and the galaxy goes dark forevermore. I was with you, in the temples of the Laer, and I sat at your elbow as you raised up the first children of your genius from the nutrient soup. That you could not see me is no matter - I was there, and I saw you.’
Fabius felt a flicker of unease as the pale gaze pierced him through. The chirurgeon twitched, as if it shared his uncertainty. The Quaestor’s smile was like a scalpel grating on bone, and he clapped again. The world seemed to shake. One by one, the sensorfeeds in Fabius’ armour went dark, and its confines became stifling. Quickly, he tore loose his helmet.
The air felt still and heavy. Not from the expected atmospheric pressure, but instead - what? It was as if the world had somehow stopped in its rotation, and everything else had clattered to a sudden, irresistible halt. Fabius looked around. The red of the world had faded to a rusty haze, and the members of the Phoenix Conclave were as statues. Even Eidolon stood frozen, in mid-gloat, and Alkenex, still poised to spring. Fabius turned, his breath straining in his lungs and billowing like fog from between chapped lips. Sweat beaded and turned to ice on his face. He felt overtaxed, as if he’d run for days.
‘What have you done?’ he demanded. His words fell flat, the echo stifled at conception. ‘Some trick of witchery?’
‘Nothing so crude. Merely a moment, stretched to its utmost.’ The Quaestor floated closer. ‘To my perceptions, all time is thus. A collection of eternal moments, one bleeding into the next with infinite slowness.’
‘Why?’
‘This is the moment of testing. The moment your hearts are weighed against the Phoenix’s feather. Are you not curious at the outcome?’
‘Not remotely. I know my worth, and I know my crimes. This court holds no jurisdiction over me.’ Fabius straightened, trying to slow his heart rate. His muscles strained against unknown pressures. It was as if he stood at the bottom of a vast ocean, and the weight of thousands of fathoms pressed down on him.
‘Its jurisdiction extends far beyond your ability to conceive, alchemist. You have committed crimes of such monstrous elegance that even the gods themselves grow uneasy. Look - see - they sit in judgement of you.’ A too-long finger drifted upwards, and Fabius followed the gesture. He looked up, and something looked down.
It was not a face, for a face was a thing of limits and angles, and what he saw had neither. It stretched as far as his eyes could see, as if it were one with the whole of the sky and the firmament above. Things that might have been eyes, or distant moons or vast constellations of stars, looked down at him, and a gash in the atmosphere twisted like a lover’s smile. It studied him from an impossible distance, and he felt the sharp edge of its gaze cut through him, layer by layer. There was pain, in that gaze, and pleasure as well. Agony and ecstasy, inextricable and inseparable.
With great effort, he tore his gaze away. ‘There is nothing there,’ he snarled, his teeth cracking against each other. His hearts stuttered, suddenly losing their rhythm. He pounded at his chest, as internal defibrillators sent a charge of electricity shrieking through him. The chirurgeon flooded his system with tranquillisers, and he tapped shakily at his vambrace. A secondary solution of mild stimulants joined the tranquillisers, stabilising him. He ignored the urge to look up. There was nothing there. Nothing at all. ‘There is nothing there,’ he said again, tasting blood. ‘There are no gods. Only cold stars and the void.’
The pressure increased. Something whispered, deep within him. It scratched at the walls of his mind, trying to catch his attention. He ignored it. ‘No gods,’ he repeated. ‘Random confluence of celestial phenomena. Interdimensional disasters, echoing outwards through our perceptions. I think, therefore I am. They do not, so they are not.’ He met the Quaestor’s bland gaze unflinchingly. ‘Gods are for the weak. I am not weak.’
The Quaestor nodded expectantly. ‘No.’
I wouldn't say there is no god of love. In fact, you could say that is part of the more benevolent side of Slaanesh because he/she/it embodies emotions like that. But like the other three, we are shown the negatives much more clearly than the positives.
Now i want even more for you to react to "the last church". Also please continue to the TTS series.👍👍👍
I am seriously impresed, howmuch you learned about the many asspects of chaos over the relativly little amount of time, you studied it
He's a Chaos god with a Eldar GF before it was cool.
Yes and no it’s a thing called warp sickness where your perception of reality is being effected such as you try to pick up a mug of coffee but despite knowing and seeing the mug in front of you you are unable to pick up a mug which is actually a few inches away from where the mug actually is, or you could have say some rotten rations on board whilst traveling through the warp and you end up getting sick or a chaos cultist hides onboard your ship
It is very rare for orks to fall to chaos. When it happens it is usually to khorn for obvious reasons but sometimes to nurgle. Mostly because he is green and mistaken for gork or mork.
You should react to Oculus Imperia's video on the Death Guard. It's very informative, and allows you to react and utilize your understanding of military structures to make content. I will admit it is a two parter, but it is worth it.
The Black Crusades are not planned by the Chaos Gods, Abbadon does. The gods are kind of just doing their own thing while Chaos Space Marines, jist like any other followers of Chaos wage their own wars in Real Space.
A toaster does not have feeling
A random dude on Mars : but....but .... You said you loved me!
I always did like that Hellraiser reference at the end
the black crusades are less a thing of the gods and mostly just a thing from Abaddon himself
more a chaos marine thing then a chaos thing
yes abbby has gotten the blessing of all 4 gods, but that doesnt mean they really constantly guide him
its a miniscule bit of their attention that is on him and the mark is there so they can grant him their power if they feel like it
the black crusade isnt even meant to be won
the ethernal war is the goal of chaos
if chaos won the galaxy they would lose the game
the war is the victory
Tyrannids, one of if not the most morally good faction in the 40K universe, since they are just animals wanting food.
2:50 Well, they tend to mutate, sometimes beneficial but mostly quite horribly
15:50 Well technically the crusades are organised by some harmless guy whose arms used to break off all the time.
He's the god of the inevitable destiny in all sentient life , Tzhentch is the god of change, hope, they hate each other of course.
Actually the imperium did try using negotiations and were even friendly towards zenos however 9/10 percent any contact made by the imperium were hostile to the extreme ie not only killing the messenger gut sending I’m back without his skin whilst being augmented so that the victims cannons die of natural courses outside of a biker through the head and after encountering too many hostile aliens and even humans the imperium took a more shoot on sight approach
I wouldn't say 9/10 considering that there were many civilizations that the imperium didn't give a chance at all
le primarchs holy bonk wrench
Hey man keep up the great reactions and especially the leutin09 ones hes my favourite warhammer lore streamer by far.
A lot of lore contradictions also come form the fact that GW is 'inspired' from other IP's and takes other's contents almost word for word and copy paste it over their universe. Which is why sometimes GW settings as a whole looks very patchy, resembling a kid who built his school essay by copying pasting various paragraphs from Wikipedia articles. As a whole we don't really notice since the setting is so broad, and from a distance the seams don't show, but it doesn't really hold up to close scrutiny.
As an example, the idea of Chaos that GW used is directly copied from someone else's work (name eludes me at the moment, maybe someone can remind me), which includes the word 'chaos', how the warp works, how the warp entities behave and down to the eight pointed star symbol itself.
Its wonderous what an army of lawyers can do for you.
Doesn't chaos feed on mortal emotions? If so it seems counter-productive to want to exterminate ALL life.
The traitors problem was it was horus holding them together with no clear line of command should he fall, when he did the squabbling and infighting killed their momentum. I want to know your thoughts on the imperial infantrymans handbook...any copy the commiserate, soldiers, or departo minutorum copy
Don't forget prions. Those are nasty too.
Glory for the light of Chaos.
Obviously nurgle is god of love cause only a mother can love a plague spawn
Fun fact, Tzeentch was the king of Immaterium one time.
Papa Nurgle Loves You!!
Not a pipe wrench, a sonic based weapon, designed from a hideous and perversion of a musical instrument. Read/Listen to Book 5 of the Horus Heresy "Fulgrim" for more information on the Emperor's Children and their downfall to Slaanesh. The Marines of the Emp's Children that wield these weapons there after known as "Noise Marines" (Space Marines with Electric Guitars essentially)
Bacteria and single called organisms can get diseased, most of the viruses in the world affect bacteria and viruses are so simple it’s actually difficult to classify them as alive.
I'd like to think the realm of chaos is tremendously diddlely, because humans are generally nastier in their thoughts, intentions, and fantasies, than they are in action. The Warp is the realm of thoughts afterall, not actions
If i had to, i would choose tzeentch. He seems like the most positive one to me.
Black crusades are organized by human followers of chaos. Yes chaos demons take part, but only a little.
Well there is a difference the black crusades are orchestrated by the mortal followers of the guards the chaos gods themselves I’m more concerned with going up against each other rather than dealing with the petty affairs of mortal beings
Bacteria can get infected by other bacteria and viruses. Viruses can infect other viruses in come cases.
The meaning of life is that it ends.
"Why would a Space Marine wield a pipe wrench?"
Same reason a sadistic interrogator uses a dull rusty spoon.
The process hurts more and takes a lot longer to finish. PERFECT for a follower of Slaanesh.
The toaster isn't functioning well because you haven't appeased it yet!
