When I think about DDDA, it's the theme I think about. It embodies the low level BBi experience very well. It starts off as a careful exploration, then into challenging hurdle you need to overcome, then into having to break through a wall. I absolutely love it.

Ah yes, for some reason, I decided to go there after stabbing Grigori until he stopped moving. Came out with a couple of nice looking bracelets and some extreme PTSD regarding the horrors I saw there. Really should play the game again, this time correctly.
Especially when you think is over and the undead dragon shows up right as ur about to leave the room, I killed it but it took all of my revives to do so. lol

Lev 80, fully geared, dragon forged etc, got one shotted by that banshee-like mob you encounter as soon as you step out of the refuge. This game is phenomenal and way too underrated.
The 3rd rendition is flawless. It strikes just the right balance of tension, hope and desperation. Like it gets you psyched up to fight, but you KNOW the shit just got real (and Death is probably making his way over to you soon)
3:25 bring keen memories of trying to run past post-Daimons sunken city-esque room only to get struck by torpor by the Wyverns and held down by 7-10 Eliminators, but unable to die because I would be nudged outside of their pin's hammer strike. God that was painful
@@hollow44444 living armors can be dealt with as long you have a decent mage/sorcerer, Eliminators on the other hand are so damn annoying with their 1-hit pin attack.
@@tiredmann Here's a good tip: Instead of just wiggling the joystick, you should also mash the four action buttons (the attack, jump, and interact buttons). If you do both, it speeds up your escape by quite a bit. Why does the game not tell you this? I do not know.
All people hear this and start saying how hopeless is the battle theme,especially at the desperate one. But to me there is nothing more exciting that going around a huge horde of enemies with the big sword,swing and decimate everything,your sorcerer casting meteorite from the sky,your strider climbing a ancient ogre and making a vibe check and your mage trying to keep us alive just to a Cursed dragon fall from the sky and enter in the fray. That Island was a nightmare but also the peak of fun in the game.
I just imagine a Montage of you and your main pawn growing together, learning how to combine tactics, becoming much stronger than you first were when you left cassardis

The first part of the island until room with one eyed tentacles boss is easy and a resting room that connects to BBI harbor is a relief, but the next room with 2nd appearance of death was me all about running not even fighting anything until reaching bittleblack sanctuary
Does anyone know of other good songs that have multiple versions escalating in intensity like this? And I don't just mean in Dragon's Dogma or even video games. This is amazing music for RPG campaigns. So much cinematic potential.

Imagine the greatness i felt when bosses kept appearing one after another because it took me so long killing one after another and i was already level 120. My pawn and I killed every single one of those fiends. Every... Last... One of them. I got a lot of experience from that time lol
Out of pure curiosity, I fought my way back though BBI after beating it on the game's hardest difficulty. This is where the game actually cranks it up to 100. You thought the Gorecyclopses were bad? Try fighting them both while also fighting off an undead dragon! But that's not even the hardest fight. The worst the game has to throw at you is right before you get to Daimon on your second run, where I counted about 20 Exterminators and a Drake patrolling the area in front of the boss room. There is no way in hell to kill them all.
The first time i visited Black Bitter Island i gone into the first chamber, Death spawned, one shoted my pawn and an enlisted pawn and left myself and the another enlisted pawn, after that it disappeared and i dipped right the fuck outta there

The songs are the same. Each "section" of this song changes depending on the enemy type you're fighting, which might be why it doesn't sound the exact same. The last section that has vocals and is more intense sounding only plays for super strong enemies like the eliminators for example
