I'm not really surprised. Itsuno basically has said since 2019 that he's working on it. Its his baby. I wouldn't want DD2 to be made without him so its only right that we didn't get a sequel while he was working on DMC5. Its a shame Itsuno doesn't have the same rock star reputation that Kamiya or Kojima have, he deserves it and people would have been a lot less depressed over the lack of DD2 news if they knew that the man behind the series was simply working on some other big name series revival.

I was 21 now I'm 33 ..still the same shivers down the spine while listening to this song , DD one of my favorite games of all time.. hope capcom will put this again in DD2

+Crim Rui I like how pretty much anywhere you skip his dialouge it will fit perfectly into the menu dialouge; "I won't lie- They're masterworks all you can't go wrong!"
I really like how your character is always awestruck or shocked at things. Skeletons pop up and he's like "WTF?!" It really adds to the whole "coincidental hero" thing. He's just some guy that got thrust into this adventure. He probably hardly ever went out of his village. Link himself doesn't even react to things as much as your character does. It's nice.
The whole damn game I was just waiting for a cutscene where it shows your character looking mute and confused and then they're suddenly like, "OKAY NO SERIOUSLY. WAIT, STOP STOP STOP. WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK IS GOING ON?!" And yet somehow the end pulled it all together and the plot made sense? What a ride, man...
Wolfgang Amadeus The worst problem was that it wasn't actually heavily integrated into the ost. B'z was stingy and wouldn't let them. You could have some pretty good piano solos from this track and use them as somber pieces.
When I first got this game I put it in early in the morning around 7 am or so... I didn't actually start playing the game till 8, I listened to this song just staring at the screen for a full hour because of how utterly surprised I was. I heard the beginning and though "oh some generic medieval rpg song" then the electric guitar hit, and I just kinda stopped working. I loved that morning.
I only heard the full song a good few days after starting the game. I loaded the game but left it running as I looked something up online and a few moments after that was blown away/laughing my arse off. Such a shame they removed it from Dark Arisen :(

So strange how a voiceless main character has so much to say with his/her actions. So much character in this one individual and yet modern games can’t even pull this off anymore. I love this game because you actually feel like the embodiment of a true hero,from start to finish, the character you created is relatable!
Really wish that they’d bring this back for Dragon’s Dogma 2. Either way I’ll be listening to this regularly again until it releases. Probably replay the first game as well
Had to come visit this again. Just downloaded a mod for dragons dogma 2 to have this as the menu theme again. It just BELONGS there. Love you guys❤. This song slaps hard
To this day I have yet to see a dragon make as large of an impact on me as Grigori did. Not nearly enough people know about this game and its sad. Really hoping the anniversary brings some much needed attention to it!
Grigori is what a dragon should ALWAYS be in any medium: a world-shattering event whose mere presence defines history. He is an absolute chad of an antagonist, and also immensely tragic once you learn the backstory of the Eternal Cycle. It's goosebump-inducing how he congratulates thr Arisen when he's slain, both thankful to finally be free of the Eternal Cycle and excited that a new Arisen will challenge the Seneschal. Absolutely my favorite dragon in anything ever.
@@DVAcme AGREE 100%, sometimes a dragon was just a mere monster to be slain in any other story, but Grigori was so equally terrifying, charismatic (his voice was weirdly soothing, and his choices of word were so eloquent lmao) and powerful enough to make him seems like a flying natural disaster all at the same time. I really like how Dragon's Dogma executed Grigori, despite his limited screentime, his presence could be felt throughout the entire game due to how terrifying he was to the people of Gransys.
The fact that there wasn't another absolutely mindblowingly hype B'z track to greet me when I booted up Dragon's Dogma 2 today was easily the worst part of my day.

@@s1yc3rPretty late comment, but if you haven't already, I highly recommend it. It runs smooth as silk on my mid-rig (GTX 3060 w/ 12GB VRAM and i7-9700K). Consistently 100+ fps. Usually 144.
Sablicious More than co-op - every pawn should be able to be controlled by a different player. It would suck to be the Sorcerer pawn though - they're pretty much essential because they're so OP'd, but they're so boring to play. Mystic Archer FTW!
I remember downloading the demo for Dragon's Dogma on Xbox 360 back in 2012, before the game came out. I didn't really know much about it and when I heard the piano I immediately started mentally dismissing the game as just another generic fantasy game wanting to ride on Skyrim's popularity. But as I was about to go into the menu and jump into character creation, my dad came in to ask me something, which kept me lingering on the title screen long enough for the song to properly kick in. It immediately made my first impression of the game do a complete 180. I instantly knew I was playing something different, something special. 10 years later and I still find myself replaying the game on PC, excited for the sequel. It's amazing how something as simple as a menu theme can completely change your first impression of a game. I really do hope that Dragon's Dogma 2 follows suit and has an absolute banger of a main theme, to give a new generation that first impression of "Wow, I'm about to play something special aren't I?" just like I did 10 years ago.
A great underrated game. One of the best fighting sytem in an rpg and make you feel like youre an epic journey with each quests. Story was ok but the last third took a suprisingly dark turn and my admiration for the game just skyrocketed.
I feel like Dragon's Dogma is one of those games that take some time for you to realize just how great it is. At least that's how it was for me. I played it for about 60h on the PS3 and had good fun with it, but never finished it. Then, when the PC version arrived I bought it again and sank some 80 hours into it to finish even Bitterblack Isle, I only just realized how many great ideas this game had. It was a true experience with an outstanding battle system.
10 years, 10 fucking years were a lot of people could have been waiting for a next game buy unfortunately they didn't have a tomorrow but today is a fucking celebration for those that are still here to know that finally there is hope

Wolfgang Amadeus The worst problem was that it wasn't actually heavily integrated into the ost. B'z was stingy and wouldn't let them. You could have some pretty good piano solos from this track and use them as somber pieces.
When I first got this game I put it in early in the morning around 7 am or so... I didn't actually start playing the game till 8, I listened to this song just staring at the screen for a full hour because of how utterly surprised I was. I heard the beginning and though "oh some generic medieval rpg song" then the electric guitar hit, and I just kinda stopped working. I loved that morning.
I only heard the full song a good few days after starting the game. I loaded the game but left it running as I looked something up online and a few moments after that was blown away/laughing my arse off.
Such a shame they removed it from Dark Arisen :(

もはや神曲。B'zで使われたdragons・dogmaですが、当時プレイしました自分としましては、竜の称号を得たエドマン王が実は、他人の命を犠牲にして国を作ったと聞かれた時は衝撃を受けました。
So strange how a voiceless main character has so much to say with his/her
actions. So much character in this one individual and yet modern games can’t even pull this off anymore. I love this game because you actually feel like the embodiment of a true hero,from start to finish, the character you created is relatable!

I think B’z is really strict about licensing music which is why they had to remove it for dark arisen :(

To this day I have yet to see a dragon make as large of an impact on me as Grigori did. Not nearly enough people know about this game and its sad. Really hoping the anniversary brings some much needed attention to it!
Grigori is what a dragon should ALWAYS be in any medium: a world-shattering event whose mere presence defines history. He is an absolute chad of an antagonist, and also immensely tragic once you learn the backstory of the Eternal Cycle. It's goosebump-inducing how he congratulates thr Arisen when he's slain, both thankful to finally be free of the Eternal Cycle and excited that a new Arisen will challenge the Seneschal. Absolutely my favorite dragon in anything ever.
@@DVAcme AGREE 100%, sometimes a dragon was just a mere monster to be slain in any other story, but Grigori was so equally terrifying, charismatic (his voice was weirdly soothing, and his choices of word were so eloquent lmao) and powerful enough to make him seems like a flying natural disaster all at the same time. I really like how Dragon's Dogma executed Grigori, despite his limited screentime, his presence could be felt throughout the entire game due to how terrifying he was to the people of Gransys.

値段の先入観からか気にもとめなかったが、欲しかった物がちょうどセールだったため、少しお金が浮いたのでなんとなく買ってみた
本命のゲームをやり終えた頃にふとドラゴンズドグマの事を思い出し「こんなの買ったな」程度の軽い気持ちでディスクを取り出し読み込んだ
一瞬にして体中のありとあらゆる鳥肌という鳥肌がスタンディング・オベーション。
音響設備にこだわるタイプだったので、盛大な曲と共にOPが始まった
やり始める前から心を鷲掴みにされた俺は当時のRPGでは考えられないほどスタイリッシュで、ジョブ毎のスキルも豊富でド派手な演出、育成要素や探索もあり、ハマりにハマって仮病で当時の彼女との約束をすっぽかしたり、寝る間も惜しんでやってた
序盤の移動手段がなく辛かった思い出もあるが、ハーピー達が巣食う山道、リザードマンが徘徊する橋、時々ワイバーンに遭遇する森林地帯、ゴブリンの居城、辺境の地にある闘技場に似た場所、思い出せば出すほど数年前にやったはずなのに色々なエリアを鮮明に覚えている
時々遭遇するワイバーンやグリフィンなどの大型MOBとの戦闘、夜道で強敵と遭遇した時の緊張感、金髪の可愛いお嬢ちゃんとのラブラブルート、城の塀に立ち放置して経験値稼ぎして色々なジョブで遊んだり、弓矢で遠距離から倒せるはずのないドラゴンを頑張って倒した時の達成感、初見コカトリスの絶望感、地下迷宮マラソン
それら全てが良い思い出
世界一有意義な500円だった
オンライン化され新作が出たドラゴンズドグマ
いつか無印の続編が出る事を信じて。

Yeah but dd2 redeemed itself for me with it's end game music it's great.

@@s1yc3rPretty late comment, but if you haven't already, I highly recommend it. It runs smooth as silk on my mid-rig (GTX 3060 w/ 12GB VRAM and i7-9700K). Consistently 100+ fps. Usually 144.

I remember downloading the demo for Dragon's Dogma on Xbox 360 back in 2012, before the game came out. I didn't really know much about it and when I heard the piano I immediately started mentally dismissing the game as just another generic fantasy game wanting to ride on Skyrim's popularity.
But as I was about to go into the menu and jump into character creation, my dad came in to ask me something, which kept me lingering on the title screen long enough for the song to properly kick in. It immediately made my first impression of the game do a complete 180. I instantly knew I was playing something different, something special. 10 years later and I still find myself replaying the game on PC, excited for the sequel.
It's amazing how something as simple as a menu theme can completely change your first impression of a game. I really do hope that Dragon's Dogma 2 follows suit and has an absolute banger of a main theme, to give a new generation that first impression of "Wow, I'm about to play something special aren't I?" just like I did 10 years ago.

A great underrated game. One of the best fighting sytem in an rpg and make you feel like youre an epic journey with each quests. Story was ok but the last third took a suprisingly dark turn and my admiration for the game just skyrocketed.
Can't wait to come back here when Dragon's Dogma 2 it's announced

I feel like Dragon's Dogma is one of those games that take some time for you to realize just how great it is.
At least that's how it was for me.
I played it for about 60h on the PS3 and had good fun with it, but never finished it.
Then, when the PC version arrived I bought it again and sank some 80 hours into it to finish even Bitterblack Isle, I only just realized how many great ideas this game had.
It was a true experience with an outstanding battle system.
10 years, 10 fucking years were a lot of people could have been waiting for a next game buy unfortunately they didn't have a tomorrow but today is a fucking celebration for those that are still here to know that finally there is hope
God what a fucking wild ride it has been up to this day. I am beyond happy about the announcement. The wind is truly pushing me this day.
