  • This video was requested by yamine2515, it was probably one of the hardest lists to do because there are so many moments in all the Disney movies. Please don't get annoyed if I've forgotten some scenes, I know there are some I've missed already, but I have included at least one moment from each movie.

      Actually she first started realizing it just before getting on the carpet. He said " do you trust me?" The same way he did when he wanted her to jump with him to get away from the guards. She said " What!?" Like she couldn't believe what she just heard then said "yes" with a smile like ' it really is you. Ok I'll play this little game of yours.'

      I'm pretty sure that the whole point of the animated scenes was to make everything look cutesy and adorable, mainly very cookie-cutter fantasy. It does add to the rest of the movie very nicely, though.

      +Pet lover 152 Enchanted was actually meant to be a satire film to make fun of the original Disney romances. If you've seen Frozen, Elsa mentions to Anna "You can't marry a man you've just met." Enchanted played that card first, in a way but a little more subtle. So, when the prince said that, they were making satire of most old Disney movies, such as with the scene with Sleeping Beauty or the first Little Mermaid scene in this video.

      Romantic relationships are not a beautiful thing. Romance causes a lot of problems in this world. Life is a lot better without romance than it is with it. Romantic love is not special at all, and I think that the romantic type of love isn't real. More than half of romantic couples either break up with each other or divorce each other, And most couples who are still together are usually not happy being together.
      Also, there are a lot of toxic romantic relationships.

    Has anyone else notice that the movie Atlantis the lost empire Milo and Kida are the only couple in any Disney film that don't actually share a kiss. At most they do is hug and i actually like that Disney did that. its a nice change of pace and it shows that something as simple as a hug can say more about their feelings for each other than a kiss. At least thats wat i think

    One of the things that strikes me in this montage is how well Disney does at showing romance through more than just kisses and "I love you"s - like with the scene from Lion King. I mean, lions don't kiss or anything, but they still manage to convey the same sense of pure joy and intimacy with the head-rubbing and I think it's really beautiful. Same with the first moment from Tarzan, with the hands - more touching than many a kiss, really.

    • @midgetwthahacksaw
      @midgetwthahacksaw 7 років тому +26

      SagittariusFire4 Milo and Kida are like that as well. You only get a handhold out of them but still, the emotion is there. I always loved them because they can go anywhere now. It's simple and bright and new start. There's hope at the end for them.

      My favorite is with I Never Knew You. When Pocahontas entered the wigwam to see him one last time he hears her but his head lowers twice to show he thought it was her father or someone else as if he wasn’t going to get to see her one last time. And when he looks up at whoever is there his eyes lit up, and he started joking about his situation because he wanted to see her smile one last time! I absolutely melt at the part he’s asking why she’s apologizing, knowing she didn’t do anything wrong and giving that “don’t worry about me, I’ll figure something out, I hope” vibe. Instead of his last words being a simple “I love you” he freaking poured his heart and soul out to how much he loves her! What makes this scene and song stand out from love songs is that he cant even touch her either, V2 “If I never held you, I would never have a clue how at last I’d find in you the missing part of me” emoting to how badly he wants to hold her in his big strong arms showing he won’t ever leave her and protect her from any danger, but all he can do is be there for her. I always melt at the part when she’s leaning on his chest, specifically his heart and his eyes are cut out to show she’s too sad to look into his beautiful blue eyes. NGL this scene is even more beautiful than the waterfall encounter. This man is prepared to die, he doesn’t want to but he’d rather die than live his entire life never knowing her and remaining the same ignorant man he used to be. What a man! How many Disney princes were actually ready to die for their loves?

      I don't think the romantic type of love is special. And I think that the romantic type of love isn't real. I mean about more than half of romantic couples either break up with each other or divorce each other. I actually think romantic relationships are a bad thing, and this world would be far better off without them.
      It seems that fathers usually hate it whenever their daughter gets a boyfriend (even if the boyfriend is a good guy), and it seems that they often hate the idea of their daughter dating, and many fathers seem against the idea of their daughters dating. There are even shirts made for daughters that say "I'M NOT ALLOWED TO EVER DATE" and shirts made for fathers that say "Dads against daughters dating".
      There's also a lot of other shirts and merchandise made for fathers that say stuff like "Rules for dating my daughter: #1. You can't!" or "Before you date my daughter, know this: I'm a dad with a shotgun, a shovel, and a backyard." Most fathers don't want their daughters to have anything to do with boys outside of being friends. Many fathers won't allow their daughters to date when they are in high school or still living with them. Brothers also tend to act the same way that fathers do whenever their sister gets a boyfriend (even if the boyfriend is a good guy). It seems brothers (like fathers) hate the idea of their sisters dating.
      So it seems that most fathers don't ever want their daughters to find love and be in a romantic relationship with someone, and it also seems that most brothers don't ever want their sisters to find love and be in a romantic relationship with someone. So those are reasons why the concept of romantic relationships isn't a good thing because of how protective fathers and brothers tend to be whenever their daughter or sister dates someone since they are afraid that the boyfriend will be a pervert that will make their daughter or sister uncomfortable (also break her heart or abuse her).
      Domestic violence does happen in a lot of romantic relationships and marriages, and a lot of people who are in a romantic relationship or married do cheat on their partner or spouse with someone else. Bad stuff like that happens in a lot of romantic relationships and marriages.

      And that’s okay. Relationships may look sweet from these films but in reality they cause nothing but pain and trouble. It’s better to stay single that way you can have sex with who you want and do whatever you want. Being in a relationship means you can only have sex with one person and kiss them. Bring single means you can kiss anyone and have sex with anyone

    Personally I would have put the Tangled boat scene at #1. But what beautiful scenes! That Tarzan moment with the hands is so captivating and meaningful. Yes! Tarzan and the silent communication and bond is beautiful. Should've been further up the list. Personally the most realistic and mature relationship is Pocahontas and John Smith because they were designed with more realistic proportions because it was very loosely based on a real woman, but aside from the main plot of Pocahontas already being one of if not the most mature in Disney (animated at least) they actually took the time to get to know each other and a little bit about their cultures. Not to mention neither even was looking for love, it just happened and their differences are why they fell in love.
      While Meg is the first Disney character to be cheated on and have her heart broke, this is just me but aside from the encounter and Meg leading him into a trap with the hydra, we don’t actually see them interacting with each other until she convinced him to go on a date with her. So in other words they fell in love in 1 night, which is rather rapid for someone who swore she’d never fall in love again to protect herself

      Yes! Imo it felt it was very largely influenced by Pocahontas and John Smith’s waterfall encounter, is one of my favorite scenes in any movie ever, because I have never felt such intense emotions of two completely different characters falling madly in love with each other. For one perfect moment their differences didn’t exist and they felt a very beautiful and powerful connection between each other. Like especially the part he’s gently trying to coax her into taking his hand and he isn’t going to hurt her, just wants to be her friend is so sweet. And she hears her mother’s spirit whispering to her she can trust this beautiful stranger, and she shyly gives him her hand.
      But Tarzan and Jane’s is a bit different as he flat out didn’t know other humans existed, maybe he thought he was a deformed gorilla or something?

    Realistically, Quasimodo and Esmerelda wouldn't end up together. Not because of his looks (though that doesn't help) but because he had the mentality of a child due to his heavily restricted upbringing by Frollo. Quasimodo and Esmerelda weren't really equals since he would always be looking up to her. As much as you want the protagonist to get the girl, Esmerelda and Pheobus were the healthier couple as they had an equal level of maturity and more romantic chemistry.
    That being said, I find it very hard to be romantically touched by #23 while Quasimodo's heart is being broken. It's not "Aww aren't they cute" but rather "Aww Quasi don't cry!" Esmerelda and Phebous are a good couple, but I wish they had their make out session somewhere where Quasimodo wasn't watching.

      I would add Pocahontas, considering neither she or John Smith were looking for love, considering she was expected to marry Kocuom, while he just never expected to fall in love. They actually took the time to get to know each other and a little bit about their cultures. I mean the first time he tried to kiss her, she said she couldn’t see him ever again, but that didn’t stop him from pursuing her! Plus his love clearly came from how wise she was and ultimately helping him become a better person! Heck he was ready to give up being a captain just to be with her! Also Rapunzel and Flynn considering they didn’t really like each other at first

      The forest one is undoubtedly the most beautiful and passionate kiss! Its my personal favorite! What makes it stand out is it’s probably the most mature kiss Disney ever made. Did you know Pocahontas and John Smith are the only Disney couple that caressed each other? I don’t count hugging as caressing (like Meg when Hercules chose her instead of being a god) aside the music and emotions, my favorite part is how he is holding her, watch closely, he literally pulls her a bit closer to himself to show he’s scared of war too, but he chose her over his duties as captain and ultimately will not let anything hurt her. Plus I really love how in a way its a good luck charm that her father would listen, but even if stopping war isn’t that simple, they love each other no matter what happens or anyone thinks. The farewell kiss is just too sad for me because they’re my favorite couple, and it symbolizes they both knew they’d probably never see each other ever again but their love will burn on forever. Personally #8 should’ve been waay higher imo, above Tarzan, Tiana and Simba imo. I’m kinda bummed Beauty and the Beast was 1, Tangled is waay more beautiful and romantic, it literally knocked out Belle’s dance

      208disneygirl Frozen has no right to be a classic! It was way too watered down for kids! Walt made every movie for people young and old, not just children! Plus, frozen was so dumb. Look up on youtube "Elsa against the other princesses" and you will see what frozen has caused. There is ABSOLUTELY NO reason why a girl cant have a man save her!

    • @208disneygirl
      @208disneygirl 9 років тому +1

      Bethany Davis Well, times have changed. Nowadays, there are more strong, independent women who feel they don't need a man, or anyone else for the matter, to save them, when they can save themselves. That's one of the reasons why Frozen is so popular, therefore it will probably become a classic whether you like it or not. Also, there have been other Disney movies that are now considered classics in which a girl doesn't get rescued by a man (Mulan for example). I don't think that Disney was suggesting that a woman CAN'T be rescued by a man, they just want to show people that it's possible for a woman and/or someone other than a guy, CAN save her, and that women are capable of taking action and standing up for themselves instead of relying on others. So, pretty much what I'm saying is that Disney is just trying to appeal to modern society, and that is the general mentality of most people, especially females, nowadays, as I said before.

    Hi, so I love the list and I know it's all opinion based, but I wish Milo and Kida were higher up on the list. Seriously Atlantis does not get the love it deserves. The drawing style is innovative and God the part with the lava over the dome. As a kid, I remember watching this movie and thinking "I want to be like them". This was the first time, in my opinion, where we had two people fall in love and really mean it. Kida is a warrior princess and for the most part the movie doesn't play that down. She is completely confident in her body, in her ability to protect herself, but still understands that her way of life isn't perfect, in fact she acknowledges it's lacking faults. Milo, on the other hand, is awkward and dorky. But he's adaptable. Sure it doesn't go smoothly, but when Milo decided to save Kida, he turned into a bad ass. They have a very unique way of interacting if just for the fact they can change languages and both understand eachother.
    But my main point is, you believe they are in love. It's not like with other recent movies where you see the characters interact more and slowly develop a bond there. This was an late 90's early 2000's Disney movie. Most of the time it was love at first sight, then interaction. But neither Milo or Kida look like they love each other when they first meet. Milo is both in awe and terrified by her. Kida is confused, but sees he's hurt. They act more like friends through out the movie as both are looking for information on a similar topic. They talk to each other, both help each other make sense of the different worlds they come form, asking and answering questions. It's not til this scene that BOTH of them let themselves fall. And what's more is they don't kiss. They hug. Seriously, that's pretty rare in any Disney film. Just look at her before she wakes up and how she says his name. Don't get me wrong, I love all the other moments, but with Milo and Kida you get to watch them fall in love.
    The movie as a whole has it's flaws, mostly with the writing, but everything else is just awesome.

Their interactions are so adorable despite they only knew each other for 1 day, but the fact she’s a warrior princess who no doubt would kick any Disney princes’ asses in record time falls for a mousy bookworm is so adorable, especially when he goes after Rourke even if he’s alone. Honestly I really wish a good sequel would’ve been made to show more about Atlantis being restored as a legendary Utopia.

  • @kristinahuchison2511
    @kristinahuchison2511 2 роки тому +45

    (Yes I have 5 #1’s I literally cannot choose between them)
    1. Pocahontas and John Smith forest kiss. This kiss has EVERYTHING, the music to if I Never Knew You plays in a different key than sung as if it was indicating they can be together, but the moment Thomas notices them its jerked back into the original key as he isn’t sure what to think, while Kocuom is filled with heartbreak and rage. The fact this scene goes backwards as the encounter just makes it that much intense.
    1. If I Never Knew You- the conversation before and after is so intimate as she blames herself for his arrest, his response is so sweet “For what? This?” As he knows she did nothing wrong, giving it that “don’t worry about me” vibe. All he can think about is he would never get the chance to tell her how much he loves her, especially when she enters his head is bowed as if he was praying for one last look at her, and when she gently touches him he’s so happy to see her one last time. Especially when she says “It would’ve been better if we never met. None of this would’ve happened” and he says the sweetest thing ever on screen “Pocahontas, look at me. I’d rather die tomorrow than live a hundred years without knowing you” then with the song the first verse describes their encounter through his eyes. Also with “…Lost forever, If I never knew you” as he unknowingly emotes to being what the spinning arrow was pointing to the entire time. Also the fact he can’t touch or hold her in his big strong arms just makes it that much bittersweet romantically, “If I never held you” is when he’s emoting how badly he wants to hold her in his big strong arms, showing he’s right here and won’t leave her and protect her from any danger, but all he can do is be there for her. I ALWAYS melt at the part when it zooms to her leaning on his chest, specifically his heart as if she can feel the warmth from his heart as if its on fire for her, and his eyes are cut out as to show she’s too sad to look into his beautiful blue eyes.
    1. Pocahontas and John Smith waterfall encounter. I technically count the start when she first saw him playing with Meeko. The entire scene is so adorable especially when Meeko almost blew her cover and she panicked, terrified of him seeing her. Here’s the heart of the encounter: she followed him to the waterfall, the fact it mostly instrumental emotes how the characters are feeling without speaking. She’s curious about this beautiful stranger, while he knows someone is following him, and he knows it isn’t one of his men. She had several chances to leave and he would’ve just noticed whoever it was left, but she instead got closer, even going to the stone path. The music when he’s loading his gun always gives me chills as he can see her silhouette, and you can see the hatred/hunter instinct in his eyes, and the music tricks your mind into thinking the last note is a gunshot. But there is 5 seconds of just background audio until If I Never Knew You plays, as his expression immediately melts into love at first sight as if he’d encounter a goddess. The fact he’s so in love with her he can’t even move in fear of scaring her away is intense as she’s simply observing his reactions, he puts his gun down so gently as if she was a delicate flower, and cautiously enters the water as if to invite her in, even taking his helmet off to show he isn’t going to hurt her, but all of a sudden she runs away, he calls out as if he’s unable to move. The following scene when she almost paddled away and he managed to keep her from leaving is intense. She had the chance to go anyway, while he kindly asks her to stay, gently coaxing her into trusting him, even extending his hand, and she chooses to trust her heart. I also find it a bit hilarious he’s so in awe of her he forgot she doesn’t speak English but keeps talking anyway. The infinity symbol created by the spirits when she takes his hand is so magical, indicating they’re soulmates and belong together, just watch the way he gently wraps his fingers around her hand, giving it a warm, gentle and loving squeeze. The first thing she tells him is her name, and he’s so in awe he had to hear it again.
    1. Pocahontas and John Smith (yes, they’re my favorite couple) when she saves his life. After If I Never Knew You, he didn’t expect to see her EVER again, she feels powerless to stop his death and the war, but the fact Meeko actually understood what he was saying what a compass does is in a way hilarious and adorable, as she still hadn’t figured out what the spinning arrow was, and it ended up pointing to the battlefield, which meant him. The fact when she actually covers him from her father, I’m a bit surprised he doesn’t try telling her to leave before she got hurt or its ok, I’m ready to die, but instead chose to listen to what she had to say. When her father frees him, the way he looked at her is filled with all sort of emotions: what the heck were you thinking, terrified he’d never see her again, terrified he’d lose her, proud to show both sides he loves her too whether they like it or not, and ultimately proud of his girl with how amazing she is, and the way he hugged her just SCREAMED he was never letting her go again. Fast forward to the ending scene when they cannot see each other as the ship leaves, the fact he is the first to wave anna to her is so heartbreaking, as when she taught him how to say hi and bye, he prevented her from completing goodbye “I like hello better”
    1. Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, I See the Light. This scene is undoubtedly the most romantic and beautiful scene ever, she finally gets her birthday wish to see the lanterns and even touches her parents’ lantern as its the only one with the royal emblem. The fact its here they realize they love each other so is cute, especially because this song is about how they used to be before meeting each other and they realize they complete each other, in a way its like If I Never Knew You, just not saying one last goodbye. Honestly the only disappointing part was they didn’t kiss 😡😫
    2. Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, him cutting her hair. Despite I don’t like her hairdo, he knew he would die without her hair, but would rather die knowing she’s free from her “mother” and says “You were my new dream”
    3. Ariel and Eric, Kiss the Girl. Not one of my favorite couples, but this song in a way is kinda hilarious because of Scuttle almost ruining it, and Sebastian doing something he knows he’s dead meat if Triton knew about, but chose to help her anyway. Plus this song is iconic and sweet.
    4. Hercules and Meg, rescuing her soul. Not a favorite couple, but he almost died swimming through the river Stix to get her out, and technically Hades could’ve let him revive her, BUT he had to stay in the Underworld forever as per the agreement. Also Meg shoving him out of the way from a pillar was so brave, despite I’m kinda surprised she wasn’t physically flattened with how thin she is.
    5. Tiana and Naveen, him willing to marry Lottie. He started as a laidback playboy who simply wanted a luxurious life, but in the end is ready to marry someone he doesn’t love to make sure Tiana got her restaurant, and the fact Lottie said she wouldn’t do it because she knows Tiana loves them is so sweet and she wishes both all the happiness instead of being bitter Tiana stole her crown. Lottie deserves a man if a sequel got made!
    6. Belle and Beast, letting her go. Again not a favorite, but Beast knew Belle had to love him back for the spell to be broken, but knew her father needed her more, as keeping her would’ve made him as bad as Gaston. Also he ends up sparing his life after he tried to kill him, just telling him to leave.
    7. Phoebus and Esmerelda, saving her life. Honestly the fact he never tried to arrest her but instead deliberately traps her in Notre Dame is adorable, even giving up being a captain after refusing to kill an innocent family. Plus he never scorned Quasi, actually attempted to step in during his humiliation.
    8. Aurora and Philip, Malificent showdown. Once Upon a Dream is such a romantic song, but this dude had to fight a freaking dragon with all the powers of hell.
    9. Milo and Kida, their language encounter. (They’re higher I’m too lazy to fix the numbers, probably like 4 or 5) In comparison to Pocahontas and John Smith, Milo can actually speak and read Atlantian and it’s adorable seeing Kida make fun of his accent. Their entire relationship is so adorable as despite they don’t get married in the movie, it shows Milo is where he belongs because there’s nothing in Washington D.C. for him, plus he’s helping her restore Atlantis to its former glory by helping her people read again. Plus Kida became the first Disney queen!
    10. Aladdin and Jasmine, a Whole New World. He helps her find freedom literally exploring the entire globe in one song. I do wish he would’ve just confessed when she caught on instead of getting more tangled in his lies.

Pocahontas and John Smith is my nostalgia favorite because I watched Lion King a ton as a kid and Colors of the Wind is my favorite Disney song too! But I also just love how more realistic and mature their relationship is, too bad they’re the only couple that got a sad ending, but I feel that’s what makes them one of the more popular couples (too bad they still get a bit of hate just because of the original story) Rapunzel and Flynn Rider though are flat out hilarious, but are also more realistic and mature too! I normally don’t go for the 3 day formula of a princess falling in love, but I forgive Rapunzel’s because they didn’t get married in the end, instead their happily ever after was a combination of different peoples’ dreams coming true, not just Flynn being revived. And they also got an entire series too!

    It reminds me of Anna and Duke in Frozen. They just met and there "finishing each others sandwiches"... especially the "well get married tomorrow".

      If you actually watched Enchanted, you'd know that Giselle, like Anna, goes on to find real love. Yes, it's stupid how they fall 'in love' with the first man they lay eyes on, but that's the point. Giselle falls in love with McDreamy (or whatever his name is) and Anna gets Kristoff; both while they're still trying to get back to their 'true love'. It's used in a sort of satirical way,the bullshit idea of true love in the beginning makes the real love all the sweeter.

      Agreed! Honestly its such a shame it got a lot of criticism because of “historical accuracy” 🙄🙄 I’m part Native American myself and it’s actually in my top 3 movies, not just Disney. The fact they knew they were in a forbidden love and that love ended up preventing a freaking war from breaking out and saving countless lives is undoubtedly amazing, and it’s because of his love for her they can’t be together because he had the chance to simply let her father get killed, but he was better than that, knowing full well the bullet would probably kill him, he didn’t expect to be mortally wounded. Honestly the fact the sequel was only made to change her love interest to John Rolfe is flat out disgusting, easily making it Disney’s most hated movie. Really any of the scenes with Pocahontas and John Smith are so adorable, including him accidentally calling her a savage anyway.
